Hey Jeff, how was Florida?😃 That hotel is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! LOVE the water show is it American songs or just like rock songs playing in the fountain? Is the little bridge wood(I think that's what I saw)or metal?very beautiful land I love the trees. A friend of mine once said the trees are angels looking after us mortals😉 Have a blessed one buddy!!!😃👍❤
Florida was just perfect )) The music at the fountain is American music , some classic rock and a few fun oldies . The bridge is of cement :) The oak trees are beautiful !!!!!!!!!!! :) :)
I have a 1930s picture of the Great Southern on the wall of my office (found on Shorpy dot com). I was under the impression that it was either destroyed in a hurricane or demolished to make way for highway construction, but your thumbnail looks very much like the picture I have.
Bella's Hat I later found out that the Great Southern Resort was completely destroyed in a hurricane in the 1940s. I have a photo of it hanging on the wall in my office but could never figure out where it was or what it had become.

Cement! I didn't even think about that,my special self so it WILL hold a 380lbs ass?😂😂😂😂
When in doubt , just walk underneath the oak trees and enjoy life ))
Was this once the Great Southern? Like in the 1930s?
1930's ? I'm not sure . I'll look into that. I do know it was the old V.A. building that was shut down though ))

When did it open? Looks pricey.
Jeff said it had JUST opened ❤
I saw prices to be between $199-$250. Not just outrageous.
