G,day CBK, theres no worry's about the 15" coil for depth or coverage, but it cant show a true comparison unless it done in a controlled area of so many square meters, marking but not digging the targets, with each disk used, then seeing which disk missed the targets the other got, and visa versa, then retesting those disks over the ones they missed, to see if they can pick up the missed target or not. And theres the swing and miss element involved there too. I think I broke my brain writing this, and hope it made some sort of sense to you, sorry about that. For a little while there it seemed like it was going to be an all buckle day, great watch winder, yet to find one! Cheers Mate!
Gday Wayne. I take your point. They are both good coils. Sorry to hear about your broken brain. It was looking like a buckle day wasn’t it. Really rapped with the winder. Take care mate 😁👍
Gday Paul. The first site is a ripper. Still got some goodies to give I reckon. Safe trip being had. On to my first Romans already at where we are staying. Bloody awesome 😁👍
Gday Tim. It was a great little find. There is a bit of weight in those big coils. Glad I don’t swing one all the time. Thanks for watching. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Howdy Andrew, I read through the comments and see that you have arrived safely in England and are busy digging romans and groats. You must be having a blast. Very kind of the lady whose place you are staying at to let you have a go. I can't wait for these videos. I reckon you'll sound like a Bee Gee again when that first roman comes out. I guessed that you'd take the minelab coil if only because it is lighter. Congrats on the nifty watch winder. Digging up all that trash on the beach is a small price to pay for 5 cents. Hoping you and Viv have the best vacation ever. Your buddy, Roelf
Gday Roelf. Yes we got here ok. Where we are staying the lady was very enthusiastic that I go for a swing. She told me they had found some Roman coins up the back so that’s where I headed. Off to the first rally after breaky. I don’t think I got Bee Gee high when I got the first Roman. It was more like disbelief. See it on TH-cam, not in my hand. The 15x12 is lighter but also at 12” wide I can use it in light scrub or tussocks. The watch winder was a bucket lister as I have seen someone else find one and was amazed it had Castlemaine on it. Thanks for the best wishes mate. Take care 🦘🦘👍😁
Nice video Andrew. Thanks for the mention and yes I love the big Coiltek coil in the wide open and not too trashy areas.Used mine a lot lately in deep river flat soil to get those deep old coins. I find it pinpoints well also for a big coil. Watch winder is a top find. I dug one similar a few years ago. Hope you got to UK ok and are having a ball there. Say G'day to Tony from me at the Detecting-Innovations site,as I see he is at the Rodney Cook Rally. Cheers mate and have fun sniffing out all that roman and hammered silver.
Gday Gary. No worries about the shout out. I have had a lot of winders but the are the ring varieties but I’ve not had one like this before. We got here ok and the place we are staying, the lady has given me permission to detect and today I got two Romans. Very chuffed. Off to the rally tomorrow. I will seek Tony out. Take care mate 😁👍
the last one was the best that key - Castlemaine...... good luck when you reach the UK, hope you find some hammered coins or a hoard! The last video liked that lead boat, survived intact as a lot of them break up through fatigue(and the train was a good find)!
Great hunt both on land and beach, looking like the big coil does the trick for deep finds but the extra weight isn't for everyone. liked the watch winder and was in great condition also a few coins to take home on the beach. Great show mate 👌👍😀👋 Tony
Gday Tony. Yes it has a little weight. And it has to suit your style of detecting. The watch winder was a great find. Very rapped with that. Thanks for watching mate. Take care 🦘🦘👍😁
Hi Andrew, don’t think it’s my choice to choose from coz I do most of my hunting in public parks, limited at the depth I can dig and there’s way too many targets close together, I’m sticking with the six and now and then the 11 for the places that I’ve vacuumed all the targets out.
Gday Jim. You are on the ball for where you hunt. That is exactly what I would do in those circumstances. Dave wanted me to do a review on all the coils for the show and as I could borrow them I did a vid for myself. As you know, the public get nervous when we go to parks with big things in our hands. Picks, crow bars, big coils. Take care mate 👍😁
The watch winder is gorgeous! It's great to learn more from your reviews. I'm not sure when you're heading off to the UK, (I might have missed it) but wishing you safe travels and lots of great hunting! 😀
Gday Deb. It was a great find. It was on my list. We are in the UK and I have already found two Romans where we are staying. Going to a rally tomorrow. Take care mate 😁👍
Often amazing when you go back to old ground what you can find with a fresh mind 😄😁 maybe I’m pessimistic but I still don’t know if the big coils actually get any deeper or not 😂😂😂 I’ve dug some pretty deep coins with the six inch 😆 I actually found one of those buttons with the pattern on the back yesterday and was admiring it too :) gotta love a watch winder especially with writing 👍🏻👍🏻
Gday William. Yes I agree with you on the depth issue but some of our areas don’t have the soil depth to match the size of the coil. You will get more coverage with the bigger coil though and with a large paddock that’s a good thing. All that said, gee I love the 6” coil. Buttons are a cool thing even more so if they have writing or pictures you can find out about. Very happy with the watch winder. Ripper little find. Take care mate 👍😁
Nice video Andrew. What a relic fest! You have the same luck on land vs beach as me. What i wanna know is, which is the better 15 inch coil? The MInelab or the Coiltek?
Gday Dave. There is no better of the 15” coil. It is just which one suits your hunting style best. They both find cool things at depth. But to put you out of your misery, I got the 15x12 cos it was a bit lighter and at 12” wide if I go into light scrub I can still manouver it. Take care mate 👍😁
The rule of thumb is you can find a 20 cent piece at the depth of the diameter of the coil. 11” coil, 11”” down. 15” coil, 15” down. I haven’t used a Deus but assume it would be the same rule of thumb.
Coffee bush i did not know you were going on uk trip ! For how long you will be away ? I would love to go also , but , lack funds due to cost of living pressure and loss of work sadly .. and still not feel ready to travel again with world the way it is at the moment ..
Gday BC. We are away for 6 weeks. Yes it does cost a bit but we have been saving. Bit of work involved too. Everything is going well but some of the roads are narrow. You have to breath in when you drive on them. Take care mate 😁👍
Nice hunt mate the coil is good on depth and coverage ay Nice finds and clean up lol I am still sorting out cars dam wish it would all finish Been just doing nothing sick of it Cheers 🍻 CrouchOz
That 4 hole button, might it be just plain fancy? Good hunt, as is your usual!
That is a ripper of a fob watch winding key. Great find. Well done 👍👍. GL & HH.
Gday Tim. It is a ripper. Thanks for watching mate 👍😁
Now that's a watch winder!!!😍😍😍 What a beautiful area that first one!! Cheers mate👍
Gday Luke. It’s a great winder. That first spot has just a bit more to give I reckon 😁😉

Gday Lorraine. Thanks for watching. Not only was it a ball tearer, it was a bucket lister too. Glad you enjoyed the show. You take care too 😁👍
Nice work Andrew, really interesting finds, great video I really enjoyed it 🤠🇦🇺⛏️
Gday Josh. Thanks for watching mate. Glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
Well done Andrew once again, nice variety of targets always keeps it interesting, some cool finds there. Cheers Pete
Gday Pete. Quite a few interesting bits and pieces came up for sure. As is the way. Never know what you will get. Take care mate 👍😁
Andrew mate loved that first site. Big deep holes with the 15 inch. Love that coil . Have a safe trip. 👍

Thats a sweet watch winder Andrew! Very nice. The big coils can definitely wear the elbows down lol. Good job and congrats on the finds brother!
Gday Tim. It was a great little find. There is a bit of weight in those big coils. Glad I don’t swing one all the time. Thanks for watching. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Great video, got the same coil on the nox 800 and loving it. Recently got the pro swing as i was struggling with the weight.
Oh well at least you found the watch key but also good to clean up the ground.✌️👍
It was a good time out Allan but it was good to find the winder. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
