You should use your hand-drill to drill straight down to the deposit, make a gps at the deposit, jetpack out, then go and use your miner to mine in at an angle.
Tiny batteries are more of a capacitor on a power grid, great for large spikes of demand but short lived. On the flip side they do charge fast with a higher power output per volume than larger counterparts.
Hey Splitsie! Just a quick question! I am currently doing a playthrough basically using the modlist straight up from your assertive aquisitions series. The AI bots that I encounter doesnt act half as interlligent as these boys. they usually just stand around and do nothing. sometimes they engage but only if I run straight across their field of view. What other mods are you using here? I want them to come in paradrops and stuff like this :D
FYI - high PCU constructs DO appear to mess with the AI blocks. I have the same issue. They work great in clean games but in my favorite save they just won't play nice.
One idea to (marginally) improve the surviability of the perimeter defenses would be to have izzy's automatically store a small amount of needed materials (probably mostly plate, with a few motors and such) inside each welder, rather than relying on them to pull from containers (near or far)
44:30 - "I think that 'Prwa prwa prwa prwa prwa' is getting shot.'" Good to see that even when he's not in the scenario, Capac is an effective in providing alternate targets of opportunity. ;-)
6:13 Does twitch chat do private messages / whispers? Then the plugin could have a command to message the outcome to anyone who is explicitly interested. 33:49 Sounds like a job for event controllers. Then again, if one EC monitors several (medium) cargo containers (for something like cargo>95%), it would trigger every time one of them fills up, wouldn't it?
How many other people realised he forgot to leave room for his lifting thrusters on the Taco Miner in the rebuild of the Burrito? Thats 2 medium storage containers going to go boom
So I was grumbling for a few weeks because SE wasn't running that great on my Steam Deck. No audio, frequent crashes, including some complete freezes that required hard reboots. Well, I found out why there was no audio-- the application was muted in desktop mode. There's a small button in the task manager that mutes the app, and for some reason that setting carries over to gaming mode as well. Obnoxious "feature". So now _some_ sound plays. Sometimes the UI sounds play, but the only reliable sounds are the sounds associated with movement (wheels and thrusters/grid velocity) and so far hand tools which are WAY louder than I remember. Thanks for the Sneaky Sounds mod, BTW...
Oof, I both hate and am relieved when I discover issues I'm having are down to something I messed up (though in your situation it's more than that since SE just has weird audio issues anyway)
Speaking of hydrogen bottles. What do you do when you die and loose the only one you have at the start? I looked everywhere for the availability to build one and I found nothing
Small correction Splitsie, you ALWAYS do PvP. With a few exceptions, every series you have ever done is PvP by definition. Any time you have players fighting other players, that's Player versus Player or PvP. Scrapyard is PvP, Assertive Acquisitions is PvP, Wrong Way Up is PvP, etcetera. This series is PvE. Survival Impossible is PvE. Survival Unlikely is cooperative PvE. The vanilla scenarios you play are PvE. But that's it. Almost everything you do is PvP by definition.
Technically yes, but in spirit, no. The other 'players' aren't actually players but more akin to dungeon masters who are a different category unto themselves 🙂
@@Flipsie I'm speaking of ARC and of the other characters that fight you in AA, and other such series. The divide between PvE and PvP is very clear, as clear as black and white. There is no grey area. Any time you have players fighting other players, if they make physical appearances in the game, you're doing PvP. Therefore, you ALWAYS do PvP and almost never do PvE. This series is a PvE series as you describe with the chat being the DMs. Survival Impossible was PvE as well. Survival Unlikely was PvE, unless you started having other players oppose you after I stopped watching. (Speaking of SU, I am still sorry and do apologize for that massive misunderstanding about what you meant when you said the theft of the Cockroach was "scripted". I thought you meant "computer script".) But that's it - everything else you have ever done is PvP. Plus you don't even treat your competitors as human beings, as your comment clearly indicates. How incredibly rude of you. And I'm STILL angry at you for not giving me credit for the patrol car ship idea alongside the Booze Bus in Escape from Purgatory, btw. ALSO very rude of you. So to summarize, you're a habitual liar, saying that you play PvE when you extremely clearly play PvP, and a thief, taking credit for other people's ideas. I do still enjoy watching you play, and I will apologize when I misunderstand like with SU. I also apologize for being an asshole ever since SU. But you really need to be clear about the things you do being PvP, no matter what kind of excuses you make that say it is PvE, because it isn't PvE, "spiritually" or otherwise. You also need to give credit where it's due, no matter whether it is from your friends, or a complete stranger like me. Sorry for the rant. I hope you read this and give me the decency of a response.
@@Shit_I_Missed. Well, they're on the same side so that's more like "cooperative PvE". (Assuming RVs at War is Splits and Shadow vs drones and bots like Underground Alone or Survival Impossible is/was.) I mean, the things the AA crew get up to, playfully shooting one another but otherwise cooperating? That's not PvP, they are clearly on the same team. Even if they do end up fighting one another verbally and taking pot-shots at each other in play. But when they get into fights with ARC? THAT is PvP. If you're fighting hostile players it's PvP. There is no "spiritual PvE" as Splitsie claims. It's a black and white divide. So when Splitsie says he only does PvE? He's lying. In order for AA to qualify as PvE, ARC would need to be drones and robots only, just like Assert and the other factions. Not "player NPCs" either. No players in droid skins. Only drones and AI droids like from AI Enabled.
