We should start an original Bullit club 😁 Don't know about you though, but I certainly wouldn't get very far on mine now, they weigh a ton, my old legs couldn't cope 😂🤣
I think I got mine around the year 2000 ish, maybe plus or minus a year. What colour was yours? I'm thinking I need to rebuild mine as it was originally, I've still got most of the missing pieces including a set of chrome Marzocchi Bomber Z1s. Just need more time to get around to it
Retro bikes are in now. I was thinking of putting all the original components back on mine to make it fully retro. It would be a pig to ride but look so cool.
Thanks for the kind comments. Took a while to get used to flats again after so many years with SPD's. Funny when you try to lift the bike/bunny hop for the first few times, I nearly came off as I left the bike behind. Getting used to them now and much better for improving bike handling skills. You'll not be disapointed with the DMR vault, great quality.
@@scottgoodski well after i sold that i quit biking for 10 years cause i just couldn't afford it. Just bought a giant glory 2 2013 (equally as heavy) 😂 and just got back into biking and downhill this summer :) dream bike would probabaly be a new trek session. Maybe next year 😅
@@scottgoodski yeah when i heard 26" was a thing of the past it blew my mind 😂 biking has evolved alot! And yes the main reason i got back into it was for the excercise, this quarantine gave me quite the belly lol all the best! 😎🤙
It's very old. From memory, I think it's 2001. The forks are new...ish. I built it up from just the frame so components not necessarily those spec'd by Santa Cruz. The original forks were marzocchi bombers Z1. Bike's now in retirement, I've replaced it with a Canyon Strive. Similar feel, but much plusher. Cheers
I still have my 1998 bullit. Still as good as it was new.

@@scottgoodski I hear you. Coming down hill is now slower but still as fun 😄

i miss my old 2003 bullit with a rockshox boxxer on the front xD
I bet you don't miss the weight of it though, they were heavy bikes, but great fun nevertheless. What do you ride now? Thanks for your comment 😁

@@O6i It's good that you've got back in to it, keeps you fit and strong, but there's always new bikes to buy 🤔😂😂
