I bought the 3 pack sbk and I swear I got the box that josh was smashing on this video , all 3 kits were damaged . Not having dealt with flite test I didn't know what to expect as far as customer service. I emailed the office and the next morning it was responded to and I was told that I would immediatley have a replacement kit sent out. Sure enough it was , and 4 days later I had it and started the builds. Kits went together perfectly and flew great. Hats off to flite test and a great product and even better customer service.
I bought the kit about in March'13. Just got around to putting it together this week. It was so VERY EASY to assemble...my five year old daughter and I was able to build and the FT-FLYER in a couple of hours...(of course, she wasn't allow to handle the exacto knife). She loves the build kits...even more she loves flying(and crashing)...fortunately, spare parts are cheap and easy to replicate. Looking forward to building more complex planes. Thanks for the videos.
I bought 2, to show my support, but also to have a spring project for my kids and a few neighbor kids who like watching me fly! this will be a great way to get them into the hobby! Thanks guys!
As a supporter of open source, I love your aspect of free downloading! the educational aspect is the best thing ever you could do, helping young people start in something technical without the frustration of failure is awesome. The point with the shipping costs sucks, but still even with them you get 3 planes for under 100 bucks which almost no one can do. Keep the good work up!

Thank GOD you made these! I was about to give up on scratch builds completly! I can't afford an rc airplane pre-built or anything like that, but all of my scratch builds are completly failing awfuly.
dear flitetest, i think this is a great idea and a good way to get people envolved in the hobby. i just began this hobby back in when i was 11 and when i got an very expensive $200 dollar trainer i was afriad to fly it. so i built a a small guillows balsa warbird (which took 3 months to build and is my profile pic) and few it .....it crashed because of forgeting to vank up the eleavator in a turn. so i started working on foamies which i found that at such a low price as $1 per foam board! part1
This is awesome! I wanted to build an RC plane (never built one before...new to the hobby). Started out w/ the Baby Blender. Many trips back and forth to the hobby shop and hardware store and still couldn't find all the right parts and pieces. Ended up improvising. Maiden flight lasted about 3 seconds: A lot of work smashed and my $50 motor busted on impact :( These kits make it much less intimidating for folks like me that want to get started without having to go on a scavenger hunt! Thanks!
Great idea guys. You can suggest people cover the foam in clear packing tape to fly in snow or on damp days. Works great for my dollar tree foam board wings.

Awesome! This is going to be such a time saver. I've decided to get into the hobby with my 8year old this spring and just got some foam and skewers and such for a scratch build. I'm buying one of these kits to jump start our flying.

Amazing Idea!! I think it would be awesome to sell a kit with enough electronics in there to make a bind and fly or a plug and fly. Also these 3 kits are relatively easy to cut out. I'm concerned about the cutting out the Old Fogey and more advanced swappables. I look forward to you offering one of those kits. Thanks for all you do for the hobby!

The intent is to generate income while providing a valuable service. Why are you so negative? Most of your comments are very downtrodden. Lighten up a little... It's not like we bust in each week and perform in your living room. Besides what does my house have to do with any of this?
@@nanakyanair3467 no. You get the foam stuff. For the electronics (including the propeller) you gotta buy the power pack that corresponds to your model (for example, the simple cub uses the B Pack). Or you can just save some money and get seperate components of the same specs
Oh man, this one hit me at 5 o`clock in the morning and i ordered right away ... What a beautiful idea. For weeks i tried to get decent foamboards in germany, that wouldn´t cost 7-10 €/$ each. Now, that you´ve come up with the whole monty precut for 33 USD there is no way around ... order placed, even when shipping to Europe is more expensive as the product ... Keep up the good work ...
You done a really great thing, going into the school and helping the kids, hope they got to see one they made fly These are so cheap, foam board in UK cost £3.50 a sheet or £25 for 10 This kit is 4 sheets worth so thats £14 ( $22) already
These guys have a really good honest policy,the prices are really reasonable,and shipping is really low like 6 bucks its refreshing to see people operate like this rather than a hobby shop, who sometimes give us the jesse james so to speak,anyway i like their whole approach thanks guys.

I am starting a project at my Cadets to build this cheap model that a friend gave me plans for. And if it is successful I am hoping that the other squadrons will take part in the hobby that we all know and love. And later I will probably get these models as they look really good for the cadets to build and fly. Thank you Flitetest for all the hard work you do. I wish you guys would have some basic electronic kits to order at the same time as the plane. We do not all have drawers of parts lying about to pick from. Need to find another vendor and pay their shipping costs on top. Not Tx and Rx, but a pack of servos, ESC, motor and the batts you recommend. Just want to build and go. Ugh. An excellent choice in models... Nutball, Dart( FT flier), and Delta... you cant go wrong there.. I picked up another tip while watching your video ..the use of small zip ties as pushrod guides... nice one.. thanks
Foam Board Painting tip: For easy masking, spray a light coat of spray-mount adhesive on your masking material (I use the slick coated ads from the newspaper) Position the mask on your plane, rub down firmly, then spray the paint ... LIGHT COATS! Leaves a sharp line without pealing the paper off the foam!
Well, you told me to let you know how the build goes, so..... I have built the NutBall and the Delta. One word? Awesome! They fly straight away and are super simple to build. All the parts fit nicely. I even shared the Power Pods with friends and they have built the Pods and are currently scratch building the Delta. (They wanted the kits but you guys had sold out by the time they go around to ordering.) Fantastic job guys! I might even get a video response up soon.

You guys should review the PowerUp 3.0 when it comes out in August. It's not a plane. Rather, it's a power pod consisting of a battery, electric motor that swivels, and a bluetooth receiver. What's cool about this is you can attach it to any paper airplane, making the plane capable of powered, controlled flight. You can control it with any mobile device that supports Bluetooth 4.0, and flight time is expected to be ten minutes.
Its a great idea in my opinion. I like to build mine on my own but I bet there are tons of people who would like to discard of the drawing and cutting. Keep up the good work guys.

got my kits today these kits are great they are very well done and pack well no one should have a problem butting them togethere i cant wait to get on up in the air well done guys
