    Update: I took my own advice and I'm very happy with my results. I had injections done (I'm 43, and an ex smoker) and it was a great experience. Alil bruising for a few days, but well worth it. Seriously, if you want it, go for it!❤

Some of them think I'm faking being friendly. Which sucks and makes me feel like I look like some sort of psychopath lol

    • @Hannah-zw9ow
      @Hannah-zw9ow 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ASMRyouVEGANyet you have to be careful going international though, one because it’s harder to find a reputable surgeon without help (which is why people keep dying from botched BBLs) and two because a lot of the time you can’t fly right after surgery. Imo you’re way better off just saving the money and finding a board certified plastic surgeon near you. You get what you pay for. I think if you can’t afford it you simply shouldn’t get it done.

    For early stages, I would also suggest going to a dentist to have "your bite examined". I was referred to an orofacial surgeon and diagnosed with arthritis of my TMJ from clenching and grinding. I had orthodontic braces to correct my bite, but no help with clenching. I think prevention is key here too. I did not realize how tight my facial muscles were until I started to massage them! I still need a bite guard. Also practicing biofeedback and other stress relievers really help! Believe it or not, I found a cheap mood ring on Wish as a helpful, inexpensive relaxation tool! There are also stick-on color sensors that can be used.

      😯✊🏾🔥Oh snap... the clench correction advice is really accurate, I can see the difference when I clench my teeth when my mouth is closed. When I don't It's like my cheeks relax entirely causing my mouth to lo go downward on each side 🤧.

    Opening the bite can also make a huge difference with the frown. Frequently older people lose some tooth structure and bone in the mouth causing a lessened nose to chin distance which in turn collapses the skin/muscle around the mouth causing a frown. Opening the bite restores the tooth structure and, thus, the facial structures. This is accomplished by crowning the teeth or making new dentures, if that's the situation.

    There is another way to treat it, just keep smiling constantly all through your life. Also, exercise your mouth daily. Accentuate the O’s the EE’s and the AH’s. If you start when your very young by the age of thirty it reverses that downward smile. We started in jazz classes and now I don’t have that problem. However, it runs in my family too and I was fortunate to have a teacher who emphasized the whole body alignment including your face!!!

Then in Hollywood on the other end of the spectrum, no one knows what anyone is thinking, you can't read a face. I remember years ago chers emotional interview..No one related because her face was emotionless.

    I tried using castor oil on my face for a few days every week over a month. I didn't do it for frown lines near the mouth, but it took care of it for about six months. I used to have a small mouth. But, in highschool I had an impacted wisdom tooth that took over 3 hours to be dug out and then stiched up. It didn't quite cause frown lines but it looks a bit like it. Might not be a good idea for everyone. But, I still have adult acne and have naturally oily skin in places where people break out. It helped take care of the oil and the corners of my mouth at the same time. Worth a try.

    I was born with the frown. It has always been there unless I am actively smiling. And I have heard all my life smile, you look grumpy, why are you mad, why are you sad. People just need to shut up and realize all faces are different and I am not going under the knife to fix my face just because they want it to look a certain way. I was born this way and it will stay this way. I was even told a bunch of times by employers that I need to go get plastic surgery to fix it because it is ugly. I was like you gonna pay for it and all the down time? Then just let it be.

    I've seen a few of the joker smiles. Never knew how they were created. If frowns are caused by the lower mouth muscles being stronger, then why can't the other muscles of the mouth be strengthened? Try consciously having a slight smile. I heard that it tricks the brain into thinking you are happy as a bonus! Makeup artist Lisa Eldridge has a subtle trick you can do with lipstick. "Makeup Tips for Happy Lips!" is her video.

    If I let my face naturally relax, boom, I've got the droops. Most of the time, if we're mindful, we can "animate" our faces and by that I don't mean to falsely smile, but keep the cheek muscles consciously lifted. That being said, I'd love to look into this surgical option. I could't see the scars well in these pix, though. Can this surgery not be performed from inside the mouth to avoid visible scarring?
