Best Cell Phone Holder for VW Tiguan 2009-2018, Golf Plus 2005-2014

In this video I'll show you how to create a DIY Mount for attaching a vent type cell phone holder for your 2009-2018 Volkswagen Tiguan or Volkswagen Golf Plus 2005-2014
Here is the link to the phone holder similar to one in the video - though you can use other vent mount holder from other brands/manufacturers. What you want to look for is one that attaches to vents and has a way to tighten its grip on the vent louvers - I would avoid ones that connect purely on friction since their holding power will diminish over time and prolonged usage. You'll want to avoid phone holders that tend to have a clip that attaches to the back of louvers unless you have a way to drill a hole in the sheet metal that allows for the clip to attach to (that is ironically a more secure way to do it!)

I think the product on amazon has changed. The back of the phone holder does not look like that and I do not know how to connect that metal piece to it

@@alexandermilleriii499 I updated the amazon link to one similar to my original one. There are more.. just need to do a search for " cell phone holder vent mount" on amazon or elsewhere and look for ones where the clamps can be tightened. the one you saw with the clip "may" work if you drill a hole that allows for the clip to attach to similar to a vent louver - otherwise fining one that attaches and tightens is the easiest.
