It's basically the miniature version of the GEV game that expanded Ogre (and yet delightfully was a full game in and of itself...). GEV was one of the first wargames I really got into, and it was the edition my Dad has that was originally printed in 1984 by SJ Games. So, when I bought this set, I sent my Dad one of the Ogres to build! There are variations between what this set has and the GEV board game, but the rules set it comes with certainly expand the newer Ogre box you can get these days with the latest version of the GEV rules.

Never seen this game before, but it definitely looks pretty cool. and you could definitely play a game of BattleTech on that map 😎.

OGRE is awesome. I'd like to see some adventures for the RPG.

Have you considered to put your videos into categories of playlists on the games you talk about? It might help new subscribers binge on older videos. Found your channel from one of your old 1995 L5R CCG videos.

Yep. That was my game. You can still imagine them coming up with huge cybernetic tanks like this.
Did the crater map come with it? That map was from the game GEV which came out later.

Ogre Battle Box? I remember a SNES game called Ogre Battle I used to like. But they are not related to each other.

You dropped $80 on that? Steve Jackson is milking that game for all it’s worth!

If people are still keen to buy and play a game you made in 1977 why wouldn't you keep updating it and selling it? The miniatures are nice in this particular set and they can be used for other games like Battletech. Price out another game with a similar number of plastic miniatures and see what it'll cost you. You can buy the cardboard counter version of Ogre for a lot less if you don't want the plastic tanks.

12:38 I will never buy another new piece of 40K. Been boycotting since 2003 😎. I still got my old army from the turn of the century, but I'll never buy anything new.
