I have been applying your last few videos, and hitting so well. Finally unstuck, no more pull hooks. No balloon launch either. Amazing stuff!

Eh? That's not going to work...how can you pull the handle forward, that will cause an 'over the top' swing.... is what I initially thought...then grabbed a club and well... wow. This is GOLD, thank you. I feel like this is disclosure, the unveiling of the secrets of golf, the truth that's never been spoken. I now feel cheated by every other YT golf pro I have watched, every new upload bangin' on about pulling the handle down, keeping your back to target, tucking the elbow, bowing the wrist etc etc.... How long before 'they' all start copying your technique, it will happen and I hope you receive the recognition for it but I doubt it. Stuart, I haven't ever heard the golf swing described in such a way that actually feels that you're using the momentum of the club head to help the swing. Much appreciation and a massive new fan here spreading the word!

I just hope the golfing world stands up and takes note of all the good golf being played and if people play with a greater smile, I need no recognition. When I retire I will rest easy that I did my bit Thank you my friend, really appreciated.

Stu, I've been watching your videos for some time now. I'm so impressed with the depth of explanation and the ease of implementation that I've done two things. One, I am a complete convert to your golf education and methodology, and two I've withdrawn from all other online coaching tutorials and now exclusively watch and appreciate your regular videos. As a 70y/o, I play off a 3-handicap, and my golf is getting better, more fluent, and more enjoyable by the day thanks to your outstanding golf education. I look forward to continuing my golfing journey with you.

I have said it before and will say it again. You are SPOT ON by pulling the handle forward with the club head at the same height from the top of the back swing. This has made golf for me so much easier and simpler and enjoyable. Brilliant modern instruction that throws traditional teaching into the dust bin of history where it belongs.

So excited to be on the downswing series! You explain things in such a good way and give an understanding of why what you are teaching is important instead of simply demoing which I think is key to the learner.
My wife went in my practice room earlier and first thing she said was… what’s the new broom for! 😂

Not just good at it Stuart. The best !!
I find I pull the club higher with my longer clubs especially the driver & have often wondered how I managed to get the club head back to the ball & still hit a draw.
This explains everything. I will work on this on my shorter irons because Iv been lead to believe I need to get my hands in my left pocket. This has resulted in shanks like you said .

Stu since my lesson I’ve struggled with this bit, but after watching this 4 times li finally had a light bulb moment , and oh my god does it feel different, but it also feels fantastic and so solid, but still in my head almost doesn’t make sense because of how I’ve been taught before, keep these great videos coming and spread the truth 👌🏌🏻‍♂️

Stu, any quick pointers on what to look for when recording oneself? I kept repeating 10:07 because I can't actually see you moving the handle forward, but I can see the shaft go steeper when you pull it/dropping the handle down to the ball, I mean down the line that is. Or at least that what I think I'm seeing 🙂

Can you comment on Sergio’s downswing. He seems to have a very strong down and left handle path, later in his downswing. At the start, though, he has a very downwards handle path.

Hi Jeff, I could spend an age discussing all the various golf swings and why they do but I think that’s fruitless. In time i will absolutely discuss players swings. For sure.

Stu, can you advise us on the grip pressure? What is the grip pressure intensity to make this work? Or it doesn't matter?

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

If the club feels heavy in the grip, your pressure of hold is ok point. It will evolve as you improve, no doubt about it.

I'm extremely confused by this. I've just seen a number of videos advising to drop the hands at the start of the back swing. How does one know which method to follow? Is this really how tour pros swing? I'm asking with genuine intrigue.

I think it is a linguistic difference. Perhaps OTT isn't the best terminology for it, but if you trace the hands through the swing there is a forward movement of the hands prior to dropping. I think you are saying the same thing but perhaps disagree on the words to describe it. I know traditionally OTT is thought of as a very out to in swing, but he doesn't recommend that. He recommends what you are illustrating in this lesson.

Other pros say drop down, then out. You say the reverse - out, then down. I still can’t see the difference
