That frame for pressure washing is a fantastic idea. I'd have it positioned directly behind the cracker so I could grab the next nut with my left hand. That way there'd be less hand transitioning (grab nut, position in cracker, crack, remove(with left hand), drop in bucket (off to left), grab next nut, position, crack, repeat. Right hand would never have to leave handle. I've presently got 55 gallons of nuts to do. ANYTHING that improves/speeds up the process is going to be utilized.
The little side cutters are very common in aviation maintenance. Not specific to nut cracking but websites are marketing them as such. Harbour Freight Tools sell them for about $3 per.
I bought one of those nut crackers. I can’t pull the lever as far or they shatter too much. I might have to try to adjust the tension because using the smaller jaw for pecans also shatters too much. I pulled slow. Had better success on pecans with the squirrel nut cracker.
That is a unique video! That Goodie Getter is made in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri! I do similar for pecans. I wash them in a tub, then crack them. Just bought an automatic cracker by meyer. Best part is the satisfaction of eating the nut meat. I love Black walnuts, but dont have any trees. I do have 5 pecan trees though.
Awesome video- very interesting

Yes, they are a great resource. Working out the bottlenecks in production makes things go faster.

Yes, but very useful in the process.

Even though those were walnuts, sounds like a good time to go get a gallon or two of pecan ice cream to put them into..😋

I collect them and feed to the squirrels
The squirrels on my property dont need any other encouragement, they seem to be long term guests.
