    This was awesome! I love you and TaraLee and i am so happy you did a collab! I was one of the lucky ones to purchase your blue Spirulina butters and i am so loving it! Everything was perfect when it arrived. I'm in Florida and it gets really hot here and i was afraid it would melt, but it was still in tack when it arrived. The packaging was super cute and the ice pack provided extra protection from the heat. I am using it sparingly cuz i don't want it to run out lol!😂😂😂💙💙💙💙

    Hi. This is the 2nd video of yours that I've watched tonight (for some reason I am not sleepy despite being sleepy since I woke up this morning). I have a question and it may be well....stupid. But can you mix mango butter with jojoba oil and possibly sweet almond or avocado oil with a mixer and use that as a body butter? I am originally from Florida but moved to Missouri where we have actual winters 4 years ago. I've noticed that the skin on my face had dry patches. I heard a lot of good things about rose hip seed oil and used that for 3 months with no change. Then I read that both jojoba oil and argan oil are close to the natural oil or sebum that your body produces. With jojoba oil being the best option. So I started using jojoba oil on my face and the dry patches went away. But over this four year period, including pre-pandemic, my hands have been extremely dry. I've never seen them this dry before. I've used sweet almond oil, various lotions (including those with ceramides) and everything I could think of but they are still dry and at times sore. Then I heard about mango butter. So I bought it but haven't used it yet. I wanted to find a good recipe to use it with. So should I use the recipe that you just mentioned or is there a recipe where I can use jojoba oil as an ingredient? If you have any suggestions or recommendations I'd appreciate it. You definitely seem very knowledgeable about the subject. And I could use some help.

    Hello Yaya! Thank you for the formulation, sister. However, I'm curious. Could it be replacing stearyl acid with some wax, like carnauba wax since the function of stearyl acid, apparently, in the formulation is only to generate a certain "hardness" in butter?

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tiffie BaeBee You can but keep in mind that Aloe Vera Juice can greatly decrease the shelf life. Raw, natural ingredients are the hardest to preserve. Especially, aloe vera juice. I recommend aloe Vera powder 100x or 200x. Sprinkle/dissolve in water phase. Get all the benefits of aloe and you only need a tiny bit.

    Thank you soooooo much I have been searching for the best formula of butter but for hair for long time ... I definitely going to try it ... so my question is ...is it ok to use it on my hair or I need to change some of the ingredients or percentages ... I use optiphen plus how I will change the percentages according to this preservative ???
    Thank you 🙏🏾

      You are so welcome. Optiphen Plus has about the same usage rate as the one I used. I usually use it at .75%.
      Optiphen Plus is a little easier to use than Optiphen, but they both have caused destabilization. Be mindful of the temperature when using. I believe it would be best to test it on a small section of your hair before using. It was formulated by Tara to absorb quickly in the skin.

    I just made this but mine ended up a little grainy/has some specs in it. ik it’s not the butter, im not sure what it can be. any ideas?

      The only thing I can image is that the oil phase was not completely melted down. You want to make sure it is completely melted down with the emulsifier before combining with the water phase. Other than that, I can not really think of what it can be. I know Shea butter tends to be grainy sometimes. Try omitting it if all else fails. I hope it works out for you. I have not experienced any graininess myself. 💜

    I'm new to this all and a bit confused. I noticed you used mango butter to make this mango butter, then added other oils/butters in what looks like similar proportions. Why were those added and can they be excluded?

      @YayaDIYCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would refer you to Tara for the answer to that question, but I have done this plenty of times. I have made a Shea Butter that included other butters like mango and kokum for texture and other benefits. You are more than welcome to use whichever butter you prefer. One, two, or all. 😊💜

    I would like to leave out the stearic acid as I do have pores that tend to clog. Can I substitute it with more Btms50? Thank you for sharing!

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Too much BTMS 50 could leave a chalky or waxy feel. Not to mention the smell lol. I would try another thickener if it does not work out. Like cetyl alcohol. I hope this helps.

      @@YayaDIYCreations thank you for your reply ❤️ The Btms50 I am using contains cetyl alcohol. I usually combine it with polawax in body creams and it works great. Will give it a try and let you know how it works for the body butter!
