    You changed my thinking completely on the gear I use outdoors and now I fully support this approach. And, so good to see another Canadian creating photography content on this platform. Thank you, Kyle. Northern Alberta here.

    Excellent! I used a similar setup to No. 3 creat a book light for video by mounting a light to a lamp at the bottom of a lightstand and then pointing it up at a reflector with diffusion in a grip arm at the top of the stand. Very versatile as you can change the intensity/"focus" of the light by raising and lowering the light or extending the arms without messing with the power. I already have all the gear needed for this setup. Thanks for the idea!

    The lightstand intrigued me. Looks like the legs can be extend. What model was that?

    • @KyleCongphoto
      @KyleCongphoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the legs can be extend so you can still keep your light stand up straight on uneven ground: strobepro.com/collections/light-stands/products/9-adjustable-air-cushioned-light-stand

      I use 1x3’ or 24” silver beauty dish the most. Plus the two light setup. The mounting accessory for the bottom light is Kupo right angle pin.

    Hi Kyle I really learned a lot from your videos. One question, I see your have a light stand with a really large footprint and extendable leg for uneven ground. What brand and model is the light stand? I’ve been struggling to find a lightstand that has all these features

    • @KyleCongphoto

      I bought it from a local store in Canada. But you can use use a tripod. It’s actually easier. I showed that setup on a recent BTS video

      Kupo Right Angle Pin. You can find it on B&H. You also need to purchase a super clamp. Any brand will do.

    These are very reasonabel recommendations. I consider using a beauty dish for outdoor shooting more often now. The light stand you are usung seem to have adjustable legnth for at each leg for unseven grounds (see 7:32min). What is it? I am looking for light stands for outdoor shooting with uneven ground for years.

    This is amazing lesson man! Is it possible to do this with round head speedlights and also, what are your thoughts on using this setup with ND filters?

    • @KyleCongphoto
      @KyleCongphoto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should be able to get the same result with speed light. As long as it’s powerful enough. And yes. I always use ND filter.

      @@KyleCongphoto Thank you so much for replying. Can I get a link or recommendation for ND filter that does not create colour cast or at least one that you use?

    • @KyleCongphoto
      @KyleCongphoto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      3-4 stops ND are pretty good no matter what brand. It’s only when you use those big stoppers you have to be careful with colour cast.
