Would you be willing to share what the port numbers were on the Farmmac F372 and what they are now after porting? The F372 appears to run very well now!
Yes sir.. I will post them later this evening or in the morning in the comments. I'm out holiday shopping right now. Basically raised the transfers... widened the Exhaust port and (barley lowered) the intake! Wich the latter is not normally a good idea. I will be happy to post numbers though :)
I just got an Farmmac F380 which is supposed to have better quality parts than F380W. I really don’t know much about saws, just needed something more than my 18 inch craftsman to mill out some 2x4s. After all the reviews I believe I made a good choice. The instructions are a little hard to understand but if I understand right it’s tuned for being broken in and after 5-6 tanks I need to tune it. Was wondering if I can just go off a Stihl manual on this one?
Yes, sir, you can... same saw (clone) they are literally aftermarket parts used to assemble the same saw! How that works is when the Patton's ran out. Some companies started using after-market parts to assemble these saws. So, same exact part.. just different material used for that part! In some cases, the part is actually better than oem. And then some could use a bit better material! Hello 👋 and thank you sir... and thanks for watching 👀 It starts really good! Are you choking it and pulling it tell you here it pop off.... then un choke it and pull it tell it starts? All 2 strokes will work that way... normally it's about 1- 3 pulls tell you here it kinda sound like it almost starts (we call this popping off) Then you un-choke it and boom 💥 it will start!
If you pull it after it pops off on choke this will flood it...so, listen for slight sound of it wanting to start! Then un-choke it ... boom 💥 it starts You might already know this... just wanted to start with the basic starting instructions
@@JohnDoe-ud2cc I would be on the fence... really! Both saws are very strong 💪 if you want to do future upgrades... I would go with the g372. (Big bore kit adds 4.5 ccs muffler mode makes it scream) If you want to stay stock the way it comes, go with the 380. Another option is the g466 stihl clone ms460 76.5cc out of box. And big bore takes it to 82.5. Price about $320 on Amazon.

I have been running an F380. The only issues with quality I have had, are the air filter cover not aligning with the rest of the plastic on the saw and the muffler fell apart on day 2 of use. There are a few other things I don't like about the saw. They aren't related to quality, but instead Stihls original design. Seems like the fuel tank is small and needs filled often. I also don't like the location of the chain tensioner screw. It's on the front of the saw next to the bar and I prefer it on the side. Other than that, I am happy with the saw and it has been running great. I would also like to get a 372 clone, but am holding off until they can make them run right from the factory.
I've been running a stihl 291 with a 20 in. bar for a while, I've found with the pine I cut I wouldn't mind a bigger saw to run on occasion. Is the MS380 with a 25 inch bar worth the money? Or should I just stick with Stihl?
They really are... one of my favorite clones are the 380/381s I build a lot of them from parts kits! I do a lot of milling and logging! They truly are excellent! Major is right on point about the F380/381 clones…I have 2 of these saws and they are beasts…modified exhaust on the first one that I purchased and it will out cut the 2nd saw…will do same exhaust mod to 2nd saw. Major also helped me get a partial discount on the first saw because the air filter cover was misaligned. I also have 2 F660 clones for slabbing…awesome saws!

Truly see no difference in quality. So go with the one you like best! The f380w is on sale on neotec website through this evening for $220 with happyneotec at checkout . Excellent deal

Not that I'm aware of! I would stay away from it. The best 70cc class they have is the 380s or 381. The farmmac f380 w is one of the best.

I’ve been eyeing the f380 saw for a while. I know they are great running tank of a saw, but would you recommend any other clone saw over it.
In the 70cc class I would recommend holzffarma g372 72cc ... the port numbers are awesome stock

I think buy a complete saw and buy a pop up piston and runn it with no base gasket the 372 would be a workable saw .
