I don't understand people hating on him. You clicked on this video out of curiosity. You didn't like his voice/the beat/the lyrics. You commented most likely hate. But why ? I'm surprised this got some bad criticism. Sure, it sounds like a blend of Oasis and Arctic Monkeys but this guy has some fucking good talent. Credit to him for singing distinctly and writing his own material as opposed to a group of Swedish so-called 'songwriters' who do it all for cheap pop singers.
Jake bugg's voice is not atrocious, it's raw and there his own songs, which is a lot more than most artists and bands can say for themselves....
Love it, right down to the speeded up "I Just wanna Be Your Dog" riff. I'm just glad there's a young audience out there listening to this and not the terrible, manufactured boy band / girl band pap (that's not a typo), in the charts.

I can't find any words to describe this performance. Amazing, awesome, sublime, none of them do it any justice. Dire straits at the top of their game. Knophler is a master at work here and how anyone could dislike this masterpiece is beyond me. Even if your not a dire straits fan or even a fan of this kind of music surely you can appreciate the talent needed to perform it. Real musicians playing real instruments and singing real lyrics that thought has went into. Not some repetitive beat with the same 5 words repeated over and over and over........and over.

Jake Bugg is one of the few musicians that actually knows how to write music and if you appreciate a well done work, this is it. Some girls follow him for his looks and end up getting fond for his music (I'm not saying every girl does), at least, what attracted me to him was his music, at first I didn't knew who he was nor where he came from, and here I am, after a year loving his music! This guy is talented and most people tend to like untalented musicians and lyrics that involve sex or stuff... What a shame, isn't it?
