  • From concept to finish, this is the third character of the Buttoneers from the Plushkin. It only took a total of just over 3 hours to complete.
Nephew was over and was being my assistant during the coloring phase.

Great work. Love the designs. Have a few suggestions if you don't mind.
    1. Try using a mat or a plain fabric sheet on your table to prevent the light reflection in your video.
    2. Try editing out the dead parts (parts where you are not sketching or is not an important part of the process) it gives a more active feel to the video.

Thanks for the sub and suggestions.
I had considering some options for the glare for my drawing vids and I am still developing my skills on editing. My video should be getting better as time goes on as I learn shortcuts and tricks. :)

Here I'm using ordinary copy/printer paper a few sheets thick for marker bleed. I have the original line work on the same type as well. I would suggest to use some brand of marker pad, watercolor, or mixed media as they're designed for inks, markers, and other wet media, but using a sheet of A4 or letter paper with due just fine. Just make sure something is beneath for bleed through. I've got a few sketches in a marker pad as I was getting used to how these work as it's been several years since I worked with any form of art marker. Good luck with your choice. There art is made with whatever you have available :)

@@PixelMaker04 copy paper!! wow! Thank you so much for your suggestions :) And I see that you use Ohuhu markers, which is awesome since they are way cheaper compared to Copics! I look forward to seeing more!

@@JessWasHere you will need to be careful with saturation using copy paper if you color on an area for too long. It can spread out like dripping water on ink.

Awesome character concept! Is this for a role-playing game?

No, but some people at work have made the same comment. Just some characters in a style inspired by the movie "9" and game "Little Big Planet". This very well might become a series as I've added a few to a playlist. They're fun to come up with the character and draw as well, so that helps.

@@PixelMaker04 i think its decoration that you added at the end. The DND dice was the thing that made it look like a role playing game. Its clever that you creating playlists. TH-cam likes playlists.
