I’m in an apartment so our shelves aren’t the best & we don’t have the most space. This video definitely helped give me an idea of how I want to organize in the future! I gave up on trying to organize our pantry in our apartment because we only have about 6.5 months left in this apartment but we’re gonna be getting a house so we’re excited!! I’m excited to come back to this video as reference!
I enjoyed how you went step by step. where you bought your containers. what you used to clean. some videos is like look messy and boom, its organize. I'm like wait... whaaat! lol
Just a quick tip ...I have a lazy Susan like the one you didn't care for but I don't use it for storage...I use it with a Tupperware vegetable tray container ( it has 6 own compartments around the outer edge with a round compartment in the middle) I like to fill the vegetable tray with all my taco fixins (example: shredded cheese~ tomatoes~ small diced avocado ~ refried beans~ Black Olives & the hamburger meat... then in the middle I like to put my salsa!) then I set it in the middle of my table so it is easier for everyone to make their tacos ( I have found it takes up less space on your table than a bunch of little bowls and its so much easier for everyone to get what they need! But it's just an idea...Also I have a lazy susan like that that I use for my spices in my cabinet by the stove ...
I also have to keep my spices/herbs in my pantry. If you do, I suggest separating them A-L and M-Z. Sweet spices are just kept together but the savory things, I alphabetize. I never used to but then I could never remember which was a spice and which was an herb (I had them separate). Now because they are in containers that are alphabetized, its very fast to find them and not searching for 10 minutes. And, you can just pull out the container when you are cooking and return it when you are done.
Enjoyed your video. It was more realistic than many others I've watched. I like how you showed the entire process. Also wanted to say your genuine happiness and excitement when you started putting the first cans away brought a smile to my face.
When you are redoing your pantry, it is best to measure your space first. Then do a drawing of your ideal layout. You can look on-line for potential bins and jars to see dimensions.
Love wire baskets and clear stairs. Less waste if you can see what you already have. By going on line to look up how to store fruits and vegetables. Maybe keep potatoes in a brown paper bag in the refrigerator. There should be a couple Bay leaves in your flours, corn starch to keeps critters out of it. Saving food as well as looking well organized. 👍 if you decide to put some totes on the floor think about putting some felt pads so not to scratch the floor and making it slide smoothly.
My pantry is exactly like yours (including the "before" look). You motivated me to purge and organize. I mostly used containers and baskets I had on hand, but I did purchase the clear carousel with the high sides to hold condiments and sauces. Great video!

I thought my pantry was organized as best I could until you posted this video. I am now on a hunt to find that stair thing for the cans. I don't have a bed, bath, and beyond by me, but we are about to drive to Ikea today to pick up a new kitchen island and I will be looking to see if they have one there or if there is a bed, bath, and beyond near there. Great job. Little tip dont store onions and potatoes near each other. Onions emit ethylene gas which makes the potatoes go bad quicker. Learned this when I was organizing my pantry and fridge and trying to figure out how to make fruits and veggies last longer

I hope you read this, i learned this around the time of your post, putting onions with like less then 60 cm or more nearnypur potatoes will rot your onions really fast like not even a week :( and wire baskets also rot them
@Emily Dawn It came out very nice!! Get yourself a brown sugar disc online, do a search for it. You soak it in cold water for 15mins and then pat it dry and add it to your brown sugar. It keeps it soft. Repeat every months if you still have brown sugar in there. So glad to see so many organic brands in your pantry. Sooo much healthier for you guys and the kids!!! Must be where you got your great skin from (wink wink). I use many of those brands too. Make sure to get your spag sauce and picante organic too since tomatoes are heavily sprayed with pesticides and insecticides. Blessings!!
TFS.. my pantry is pretty much the same size .. i did find that Amazon had their clear containers (and pop/airtight) for a much better value than i found anywhere else... so just in case anyone else planning to org a pantry, you may wish to check there too. i enjoyed watching your video and especially appreciated your showing the “before” 😎 I think it’s helpful and inspirational when vloggers are honest & transparent. Loved the video. So pretty. Also thought it would be good to know that you are not supposed to store onions next to potatoes. The chemical reaction causes potatoes to age more quickly.
Lovely btw potatoes and onions don't go together hun they last longer separated, something to do with the acidity, they're their best in baskets or sacks.. besides that beautiful pantry 11/10
I like the jars and canisters. Very clean and organized. However I have 15 times the amount of those groceries that tiny space would not hold my groceries
Every where I look for those contain, it's so expensive and I only purchase what I can afford. I also shop at the dollar tree, family dollar, and dollar general for my containers.
Mines a bit smaller even but close. Some videos hav massive sz. No matter how big or small if its not organized it just causes u stress. U can't see what u hav or need. U may think u hav somethin u don't or wind up w duplicates u don't need. So gro shoppin & meal makin wind up way more difficult than it should be

Step one- my family needs to stop buying so much food we don’t eat
You may want to store your onions and potatoes separately. The gasses released from the onions cause the potatoes to sprout faster and rot.
