Oh my goodness, you’re the first curly girl I’ve seen to NOT bash silicones and not make me feel guilty for needing them! I’ve used silicones my whole life but I’ve been trying to be silicone free for about a year because that’s what I heard from everybody else, but my hair has just been worse without it. Thank you so much for giving me some peace of mind ❤️
I did the same and ended up going back to my tried and true Aussie Moist conditioner especially as a cowash/detangler midweek, besides using silicone free conditioner for wash day!! But you have to find what works for you!! Over the years through trial and error, I've learned what works for me and my hair has been growing!! And following curly girls who not only test the products on themselves, but especially, do research to back it up and the proof by their hair's health overall!! Along with trusting Cheli, I also trust @themestizamuse and @curlyproverbz.
First of all, a big CONGRATULATIONS, girl!! May God bless your marriage ALWAYS! After watching my very first of your videos about a year and a half(?) ago, I fell in love with your curls! My kids all grown, I could dedicate the time I needed to experiment with my own hair. So, at the ripe ol' age of 53, I discovered how beautiful my curls could be with the proper care and attention. I have you to thank for inspiring me to go on this journey with you ! ❤ Disclaimer: keep reading if you're open to listening to unsolicited advice. If you're not, then STOP right here. Ann's know that your videos are a blessing for people like me. You're awesome ❤ We were blessed with our 6th grandchild, so between helping my daughter out of the hospital, my part time job, my painting hobby, managing my own chores around the house, helping care for our little newborn bundle while mom works, plus reserving enough energy for my wonderful hubby, my hair took a seat on the back burner. Lately, I'veI been caring for my hair as quickly as possible and without fussing to much over it. I forgot to dedicate the TLC it requires 😑.. Eight months later, my hair is still curly but it's getting dull and dry and breaking... it's actually starting to look a lot like it did before I decided to go on this journey with you. So, I thank you for once again inspiring me to do something with this hair! And, I'm only just the grandmother.. I care for baby minimally (oh, and I raise and homeschool my grandson too). A lot on my plate, I know, but I had it all under control at one point. What I am I trying to say here is that having a new baby will turn your life into one big challenge -which, rewarding as they may be, babies are still one big challenge -even on a weekly part time basis. If I may, my suggestion is that you pick up (another) hobby (if only temporarily) and see if youatte able to dedicate round the clock time and attention to your new hobby even when you don't want to. If you feel overwhelmed or your hobby (or any aspect of your life), takes a seat on the back burner for too long, then leave the hobby... and with it, any fleeting thoughts of newborns in your near future. I'm not trying to meddle... just trying to keep it real using my own life experience(s) as an example -because I care. I wish someone would've done the same for me. You may be hella-great at managing your time without burning yourself out and that's great. If that's the case, I offer a thousand apologies for my intrusion. Take care, girl. And, if you've read this far, allways remember that you're doing a great service for people like me with these videos. You rock! ❤
Congratulations on your marriage. I hope you guys will be very happy. Your curls are amazing. My favorite curly cocktails are Pattern Beauty Leave In and Curlmaker, Miche Leave In and Twisting Cream with Curlmaker. I usually get 5 day wash and go's with these. Thanks for sharing.
LOVE this video! I can't wait for your life update video 🤩 I also learned a couple new tricks from this video. 1 use clips at the top of my hair while drying to get more volume and 2 spray oil on my comb when I fluff out my hair 🧡
Ppl are still figuring out. It was good info bc it got ppl thinking- maybe silicones aren’t going to murder my hair if I clarify regularly or follow her advice 🤷🏾♀️
OMG I was so impressed with your results I went out and bought this whole regimen! The 3 part OGX line & the lemongrass spray, I subbed the jelly u used for a Shea moisture wash & go Gel oil I already had. I applied in small sections much smaller then my typical half and half I usually do. I have been using the Denman brush but didn’t know to use it this way! It was amazing! Only thing I’d change for myself is creating a part. I like the way my hair sits in a part. Although I used to love the versatile flip whichever wherever look. Thank you!!! Ur curls are poppin & now mine are too 🤩🤩
I'm excited to recreate this. I'm so happy you are constantly looking at different AFFORDABLE products and sharing what works best. I'm hoping to get similar results as you.
I like that you still show all the steps you take to do your hair because some times I will look back at some of your old videos and realize I forgot a step.😉
I'm going to try this wash and go for my curls. I want them extra popping and moisturized for my engagement pictures. I'm obsessed with your channel and all your tips
I love your wash n Go’s ! I just have been having problems with my hair not looking stiff on day 1, it looks good on 2 and 3:( do u have any tips for your curls not to be stiff on day 1 and move like yours ?
I have learned that my hair responds well to silicones. My curls hold better (understandably so), the silicones provide crazy slip for detangling, & since it has been compared to a "plastic", I feel like my hair is being protected from the elements when I use silicones. I just have to make sure my hair is moisturized before using the silicone product.
Loooove your videos girl! Bought the styling cream cause of you ❤️🔥 (Random note: that beeping in the background is your fire alarm saying you need batteries which is super scary for dogs (Milo) and gets them super anxious and they actually hate it) just thought I’d let you know!! 🙏🏽
The LCG method in action!!! Love it... Thank you for the visual. I've been trying to figure out how to try this. Your results (as always) look Phenomenal.
silicones are not bad for your hair. social media has made things so extreme. too much silicone can make your hair feel plastic-y but if you use a good shampoo it will wash out fine. if you use little to normal amounts of silicone, you really shouldnt have an issue, EVEN if you dont believe in shampoos, i know a lot of people dont. instagram has led to people using products in extreme fashions and thats the problem. franchellis hair can handle SO much product, if you notice from all her videos.
@@jenniferrestrepo5118 but isn't it funny? CGM doesn't allow silicones but it allows oils and butters which act exactly like silicones! CGM doesn't allow shampoo and we all know water and oils don't mix, won't that cause a nasty build up? One thing I understood CGM and Science don't go together 🤷
Everyone’s hair is different, we have similar hair texture and I used that OGX line and it is so drying on me, like the shampoo leaves my hair straw like and the conditioner barely does anything to restore the dryness!
How often should I deep condition? I dyed my hair blonde so now often would you recommend? Also, how often should I do a mask? And do you suggestion more deep conditioner vs masks?
For the LIFE of me, I still can’t figure out how to do the top/front of my hair. Can you PLEASE do a video on you styling the top of your hair, specifically, in detail? Or send me the link to the video where you are showing it (in case you’ve already done so and I just can’t find it.) Pleaaasseee!!! And thank you in advance!!!
Hi Chelli! I’ve been watching you for a while now and I love your curls!!!! I’ve been transitioning for over 2years now and finally cut off all the relaxed ends. I’ve been trying to do wash and go’s but I feel like my curls don’t last once it’s dry. The curls look beautiful up to about 60% dry, after that it just gets frizzy and like a puff ball. Am I not using enough product? Or am I not applying the product on soaking wet hair? I need help! We have similar curl pattern 😩😭😭😭😭😭 i just rock my hair in low buns because I feel like I can’t wear it out. Thank you so much!!! 💕💕💕💕
Immediately liked this video cause of the intro. I feel like after not using silicone in my hair that's when everything sorted to go downhill! What is your lipstick by the way lol
Love you suggestion. I think you have very similar hair to me. Are you Dominican like moi? Anyways I used silicones and I clarify too so there is no negative effect for my hair. I’ll have to try the apple cider trick.

Wasn't subscribed but this showed up in my recommended videos, and I saw millions of curls in the thumbnail, so I clicked. Now I'm subscribed.
Congrats on your marriage!!! Can you do a video on clarifying shampoos, your favorites? And how often you do it? Along with the AVC rinse
LOVE this video! I can't wait for your life update video 🤩 I also learned a couple new tricks from this video. 1 use clips at the top of my hair while drying to get more volume and 2 spray oil on my comb when I fluff out my hair 🧡
So sad you have to get the silicone speech - but that’s our curly society. I learned my hair likes sulfates ... so bottom line use what works
my hair loves sulfates and silicones.
Ppl are still figuring out. It was good info bc it got ppl thinking- maybe silicones aren’t going to murder my hair if I clarify regularly or follow her advice 🤷🏾♀️
i wish i was the same. i tried silicons again and it dried my hair out hard! :(

Ooh can't wait to try the pracaxi line! When I first started my journey I swore by the coconut milk shampoo and conditioner
I'm excited to recreate this. I'm so happy you are constantly looking at different AFFORDABLE products and sharing what works best. I'm hoping to get similar results as you.
Wow, you use a lot of products! Your hair is SO beautiful! You are gorgeous 💕
I don’t have curly hair but this was so satisfying to watch😍😍 love your curls
I’ve been using the combing cream because of your video and I love it! It makes my curls so soft and hydrated
I like that you still show all the steps you take to do your hair because some times I will look back at some of your old videos and realize I forgot a step.😉

Jennifer Restrepo but It’s not good for the planet Silicones are not biodegradable. They accumulate in the ocean
Cgm doesn't use shampoo
Aleksandra Lempart i know. they also dont use silicones.

How often should I deep condition?
I dyed my hair blonde so now often would you recommend?
Also, how often should I do a mask? And do you suggestion more deep conditioner vs masks?
You also mentioned that you shampoo once a week or how often do you recommend?
Hi saw your post on instagram . Congrats on you wedding wish you both the very best. I have say I was pleasantly surprised and excited for you .
I just bought all these products! Except the lemongrass leave in... does that product make a big difference?
How do you refresh your curls on day 2 and 3?
Does the pracaxi cream elongate your curls? I love definition but I reeeeally don’t want my curls to be elongated
Your curls look stunning! How do you maintain them overnight?
I can’t wait for a wedding video!!!!😁😁😁
You have the most beautiful curls in the world omg!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Silicones work for me. Thanks for this!
For the LIFE of me, I still can’t figure out how to do the top/front of my hair. Can you PLEASE do a video on you styling the top of your hair, specifically, in detail? I love that spray bottle! Where is it from?
Se te ve precioso el pelo! Felicidades por tu boda! Cuando subes un video de como refrescas tus rizos entre lavadas?
I do believe that it's good to once in a while you can use silicone to clean the scalp and remove reciduos of other products
Can you do a new wash day cocktail for the summer weather? It’s hot and humid where I am.
Do you rinse your hair with just water (hot or cold)? Or do you actually wash the deep conditioner out?
That 8oz deep conditioner I don't know. I tend to stick to 16oz deep conditioners

My hair is always so frizzy! Is it because my hair isn’t wet enough or I’m not using enough product?
Your hair is gorgeous! 😍🤩🥰
Can you post a video describing your night routine and a second day curl video?
Love love love your hair 😍
Hi can you do a video on expired hair products and weather it is ok to use it after its expiration?.
Immediately liked this video cause of the intro. I feel like after not using silicone in my hair that's when everything sorted to go downhill! What is your lipstick by the way lol
Your hair looks lighter at the ends what color is that? And what did you tell your stylist or what did you do?
Loved this! I’d love to see you review the emerge line from target.
How long do your curls last?
Hi there, please can you tell me what make the purple brush is...it glides through your hair... thank you :)
Love love these perfect curls !!

Hello
What do you think about skala?
do you know them?
I swear your a brain ninja!!!! I was just looking for this exact thing curly coctails
Do you ever experience moisture overload?
What are you using now on your hair?
Looks so good 😍
How did you air dry and STILL have a moveable top layer of hair??? (Where you can flip your hair from either side; I can never do that 🙃)
Why Denman brush 9 row vs 7 row, and is it the D4 or D5? Thanks.
what’s the purpose of a curl jelly? is it worth adding to my routine ?
How many days a week do you deep condition?
