How To: Denman Wash n Go Routine for Defined Curls

- Lately, this has been my super quick wash n' go routine for curls that stay neat and fresh throughout the week. The Denman brush has made my hair much easier to style and it gets the job done in 15 minutes, which is way faster than my finger coiling routine. Hopefully you find some of these tips helpful and I'm always open to questions :)

@@joe1535 9 months later, my hair is healthy and beautiful. It doesn't get frizzy anymore which is good, it's long, silky, very defined. I love that I can have afro one day, and long curly hair the next.

Within this last year I recently discovered that I have had a relaxer on my hair my whole life till I chopped my length dramatically 5 years ago, was completely devastated when I found out, just wasn't having it with my natural hair, decided to relax it again to feel normal, but there really was no change back to the way my hair used to look before. And it wasn't till I came across one of Ms. Camille's videos that I have found a love for my natural hair and are interested in taking the same if not similar hair journey she has🥰🥰🥰

Great video! My favorite parts were the comparisons: dry hair with/without product, curls with/without the brush, and post wash day maintenance. Including these factors made this video soooo helpful. Smart!
THANK YOU so so much for this tutorial!! I am mixed race (black African + White) and I grew up in an all white world. For that reason I always felt that I had to somehow "hide" my blackness, so I used to relax my hair and destroy my curls. Thanks to your videos I've learned to embrace my afro, I love my curls now and will never go back to relaxing them. They look amazing, I keep getting compliments.
More women like you need to show us how beautiful our hair is and how proud we should be of it.

I have SUPER long hair, like 34”- 36”, and I’ve always been afraid to wear it out and curly because I feared it would get tangled too much. Yet, seeing how pretty your hair turned out, I think I’ll take my first courageous step!!!! I hope mines turn out as pretty as yours.🥺

@@H_kiyanna_interiors Jamaican black castor oil is amazing for hair growth! there’s loads of tutorials on how to use it but my 3b/3c hair grew 10 inches in 10 months from using it! hope this helps ❤️

Well THIS certainly is 💯% FACTS since I tried it immediately after watching this one. I already had a Denman 7 row and used product I already have which was Carol's Daughter, Coco Creme Coil Enhancing Moisture Butter. I was having issues achieving the look I wanted so THANKS!!! 😍🙏🏽🥰

After introducing the love care oil scalp massages, I can see my hair growing so much fuller now. Of course I’m eating healthier and plenty of water to which have been great help as well. Thanks for your advice. 🤗

omg yes! finally a method where i don’t get so much frizz… my old method doesn’t work anymore so i went searching and my hair is finally back to being fully voluminous. so grateful for this video.

I did my big chop in June after finding your videos. It had been two years since I stopped using relaxer and I went from about waist length to ear length 😂I went too short lol but I’m able to use your techniques more and more and things are going well. ThankyouThankyou for your posts😊
Thank you so much for this video. I have almost the same hair routine. Will definitely try the brush. I use a wide tooth comb right now after washing. The cream i use is Garnier Fructis 3-in-1 hair mask either the cocoa butter or the watermelon extract. They both smell amazing and very affordable. The diffuser is a curl life saver lol! I love it! 😇😁💖💯

OK, I'm done now! Solid technique. I love the definition AND volume. The only thing I did differently was apply a little leave-in conditioner to my ends along with the multicultural curls!

How long does this regimen take from start to finish compared to your finger twirling regimen? Also, does your hair dry faster with this method and do you feel that your hair is staying moisturized?
This takes about 15 min vs 30 finger coiling. My hair does dry faster but sometimes it’s extra dry if I skip leave in conditioner. If I want more moisture I use Camille rose moisture milk first!

Thanks for that information. Even though you and I have very different hair textures (I am 4a) your videos have really helped me perfect my wash and goes. You also have me incorporating oil into my hair. So thanks for the effort you do to help me and others with our hair.

Your hair SEEMS to be so much like mine but I deal with single strand knots when I wear my coils. Do you deal with SSKs?
I have the same curl pattern also and single strand knots, are my nemesis lol 😄.
Interesting. I have a tighter texture at my crown and her texture everywhere else and I only get SSKs on my tighter texture.
Go in and dust your hair. It takes a while but it prevents you from cutting inches off of a chunk of hair

Idk if I’m using the wrong curl products (Aussie curl cream, gel etc.) , but I’m trying to make my curls more like yours. I know it won’t be exactly like yours , but when my scalp dries , it gets more “puffy,” and then my hair will still be wavy in the middle and towards the ends … so maybe if you have some additional tips and tricks for wavy hair , send them my way! 😊

Am I the only human who can’t reset my hair for a wash and go ? Like how she let Hers dry then just sprayed it ?? That doesn’t work for me! And I have to redo my hair EVERYday like re wash I can’t get second day hair at all :/ HELP
I usually can’t either! The best thing would be just to put your products in and style it straight out the shower

I wear the hijab (I wear a satin cap underneath) and let me tell u this routine is very helpful and my curls stay looking good and they last for days I only wash my hair once a week! I do need to refresh it from time to time to give it more volume!! 💟

@@Jacob-wz7pm yes! i use it with product while wet. the right side of my head is curlier than the left, the left is like 3b/3c and the right is like 3c/4a, still having a hard time figuring out my curl pattern
@@aleishit try different products. Maybe the side with tighter curls needs a heavier product

@@aleishit try a leave in first and then a gel also use a spray bottle. I’m a Cantu rub conditioner in your hair and shake until curly kinda guy, so take this with a grain of salt but my hair is also 3c and usually works best when drenched and then with eco styler gel. I’m just trying out this brush and all the fancy curly hair tools now because I’m tryna step up. 🙏🏼
