I LOVE pillow soft curls!! It’s something that I always have in my product arsenal. It’s super moisturizing, smells amazing, and doesn’t leave any flakes. For me though, it’s definitely something that has to be used with something else with great hold. If I just use it alone, my hair will be super frizzy by the end of the day. Good for moisture, not good for definition, but it pairs nicely with pretty much everything.
Speaking from personal experience. The Denman brush is not magic. If your hair sucks without the Denman it will suck with it 😭. But if your hair is beautiful with the Denman then it will also be without it.
Thanks for this video. I'm Mexican and Navajo with a "Spanish wave" and my daughter is half Black. I've been struggling with her 3C hair and my 2B hair, the weather has been extra dry. This worked on her curls and my waves. We've used Kinky Curly Knot Today, a few years ago. The Miss Jessie's was new, but I like the gel, it's not too sticky. Your makeup is gorgeous! I must say while the Denman brush does give your curls definition, I can't split or divide my hair in sections while using it because it's thin, I envy your thick hair 😔. I've tried it before and I even did the parting technique and my hair was flat...so what I do is I use the Denman brush in the shower while I have my deep conditioning products. After I'm done deep conditioning I style my hair with my head down and use the Denman brush. It might clump up my curls but the result and volume I get is great. I barely seperate my curls though they just don't give me that problem...or maybe they do and I'm just blind 😣. I don't do anything with my edges, they're pretty decent or at least to me they are 😮. I'll try sectioning my hair again though. I know for a fact that I cant use a lot of product because it does weigh my hair. I'm usually a one product do-er hence why sectioning my hair isn't a necessity. My neice has similar hair to yours and I did section her hair. The results were JUST like yours so I have hope that if I keep trying I'll find something new. It's cool to know that not everything is going to give you the same result. This leaves room to experiment and find out what works and what doesn't. You rock!! Your curls looked ah-may-zing!!!

Your curls are poppin girl! I just found out about that brush... The Denman brush, I don't have one but I use one very similar and I've noticed how it makes my curls come out like ringlets, similar to yours. I love that look! I personally don't mind a little shrinkage in my curls, so I'm ok on that part. Thanks for sharing! 😍😍😍

Kinky curly custard is great but if you don’t use it correctly your screwed. I found the best way is to use it by itself on damp or very wet hair. You really have to follow the instructions with that product. But I love the leave-in by itself too but both together are bomb it’s just tricky when you use it.
My hair has loved Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave In/Detangler since about January 2014, and I’ve known about Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls even though I haven’t tried it since I’m all about CG friendly natural hair products. Your hair looks amazing, and great EcoStyler edges tip. I’ll have to scrunch my hair before diffusing for my wash & goes to see how that makes my wash & goes better. I want more volume for my shoulder length (when shrunken) medium density hair, so will using less product help, Chelli?

Hello It's Moi She has a video where she does with and without. But she said she uses the 9 row and said get it at Sally beauty store. She claims knock offs are just as good. I’ve seen reviews where they show the difference and I think legit is better. It’s an investment. Not super expensive. I pd $12 on eBay.
I actually like shrinkage ,and month by monthly hair shrinks more as I'm healing my damaged curls but I m8ght try this for days when I feel like I want my hair longer

the pillow soft curls was great on the first day, but did not make it to the second. to give it a fair chance, i didn't use a denman brush and i didn't sleep with my hair in a bonnet when i tried it. it did however leave my curls suuuuper soft and bouncy

I HATE the custard. It made my hair feel very very dry but i love their knot today product it makes my hair so soft. I havent tried the miss jessies jelly soft curls but i do have it so maybe ill try this combo on my next wash day

I have very very thick hair!! Like absolutely thick, and I don’t think that I’m doing it right. At all I am looking at every curl video I can find that is close to my hair texture and thickness but you are the only person that I can compare my hair thickness to. All of the other you tubers have either too thin of hair, or too loose of curls. Now kind you I still have kind of loose curls too it’s just really thick. My sister has very tight curls but her hair is hydrated all the time. However mine isn’t and when I do my hair out of the shower and style it, my short baby hairs on top of my hair won’t stay down. It is ALWAYS dry. I wish you could help me one day to do it 😂 it’s crazy how dry my hair is

She talked about a deep conditioner in this video, I did some research and picked up the tgin honey mask...it hydrated my hair and kept it from frizzing. But I did use like a 1/2 a cup of product and left it for twice the time. I also used the 2 products in this video and used a ton. I section my hair similar to hers. I like her videos, because she explains everything well. I think she has a few favorite product videos. I'm looking for them now.
