In the almost 31 years we've been coming to PF, we have never ate at the Old Mill. We always eat at the Pottery House Cafe. It's our #1 favorite restaurant.
Agree, my in-laws live in Kodak and we frequently visit. This is our favorite restaurant in Pigeon Forge
Ate at both but Old Mill is my absolute favorite!!! Love it!!
We been coming down there twice a year for about 15; years.and the pottery house is my daughter in law and my favorite place to eat.
I’ve been using the “apple” app y’all mentioned on one of your lives and I like it better than other calorie apps. I don’t like when that apple turns from green to orange when I have eaten 15 calories too many lol! It’s almost like using a child-like behavior system,
Where we don’t wanna change our color and get “put on red.” I’ve lost a couple lbs so far!

I’m so glad we decided to go to Gatlinburg NEXT week, because we were incidentally in Panama City one year for Jeep Fest and those people made it absolutely miserable. Everyone in the hotel was complaining about them driving down the strip in front of the hotel way past midnight (even 2, 3, 4 o’clock in the morning) screaming at the top of their lungs, honking their horns over and over and over and over and over, playing super loud music and revving their engines. We will never knowingly go anywhere with a Jeep festival happening again. What a nightmare.
Not to mention every Jeep driver we encounter on the roads seems to be the rudest, most selfish and horrible driver ever. I thought it was just us, but I Googled it and apparently lots of people have had the same experience with Jeep drivers. There’s so many threads out there asking why Jeep drivers are so awful. 😂

We LOVE the Pottery House Cafe, we eat there every time we go. However, The Old Mill was one and done for us.
The pigeons from which the city gets its name were a species called passenger pigeons. Those were hunted to extinction. But you are right, there is no shortage of common pigeons! Pottery House is one of our favorites. We ate there 3 times last week. Thanks for the videos!
I normally love the old mill but last visit the food wasn't as good.. hopefully it was an off day

Pottery Cafe, love that place
Enjoyed the video. I'm gonna have to try pottery house Cafe. The food looked really good especially the grilled chicken. I'm proud of yall for eating more healthy and yes I can tell you both have lost some weight. The more you lose the better you will feel. You both are awesome. God bless yall..

Hey I was in north conway and took the same train ride that you went on,it wasn't that great not for me, I did like the town of north conway, also was in Portland Maine and did a hour and a half cruise where they talked about the history of the area very educational I liked it a lot, just wanted to tell you that.

So proud of you and Dawn in your desire to be healthier. My husband and I stared using the Auto Pilot Diet app. You’re basically just recording the food you eat. It’s always about the calories consumed. Mike and I just love everything you guys do!

If I may offer some advise on your weight loss journey... And you may already be doing this, but get yourself a fit bit and the app has amazing features to have you easily add your food you eat, and it continually compares it to your calorie burn during the day. You always know where you are at in your calorie consumption. And entering food (counting calories) is really easy to do because you can find almost everything in the app by simply searching. Your daily calorie intake is surprisingly high (yeah!) if you balance it against a good step goal--maybe say 8,000 steps a day?

Pottery House Cafe' is by FAR our favorite restaurant in PF..........prefer it over Old Mill in fact. Love your videos as always.
Love watching your videos. We are coming up there on Sept. 11th. Can you tell me how crowded it is Monday thru Wednesday of the fall rod run? I know it will be packed Thursday thru Sunday. Just trying to get prepared. Thanks for sharing all the reviews. We will have to try the Pottery House.

You definitely make pigeon forge look like a place to visit, but it's a 16 hour car ride from New Jersey maybe 12 hour ride, my wife and I have talked about going, do you recommend a nice hotel to stay in?
Never been to the Pottery House Cafe. Always have gone to the Pottery Barn. It looks so good! We have to try it sometimes. It's hard to break old habits! Good luck! Lol! Thanks for the video! Enjoy!!!

I've eaten at the Pottery Cafe prior & the food was delicious. It's pretty noisy inside the restaurant 😞 It's a big area to visit.

Hubby corrected me...our great take out orders were from The Old Mill. We have never eaten at the Pottery House. But will try this year for sure! Hugs from Maumee!
We just ate at the Pottery House Cafe last Saturday when in town, but I’m definitely going to get the grilled chicken next trip.
My favorite shop is Pigeon Ford Soap. I love the Old Mill area. It seems like it is always so crowded. Your best to go early in the day.

(Notes to self) 1. Don't watch Will & Dawn eat your 2nd favorite comfort food at your favorite local cafe at 1 am.... I'd have got the potato soup as first choice Dawn, 2! Send them the bill cause now I'm going to Waffle House for a late night snack because someone! Made me hungry 😂. But another great video, I am dreading the Jeep invasion & Creepycon overflow traffic this weekend! OH WILL, did you ever eat at Rumors Cafe which was in the old Heidelberg restaurant behind the old Putt-Putt on Airport Rd? It was a Greek style restaurant back in like 90-92 I think. It was spectacular food.

I like the gift shop, lots of variety. That apron you saw, was a vintage style flour sack.
During the Great Depression in the 1930’s, women would use the flour sacks to make clothing, dish towels, curtains. When the manufacturers heard they were using them for clothing, they starting selling the sacks in pretty designs, & prints.
By the 1950’s, flour sacks were no longer sold in fabric sacks, only paper ones.
Today, you can still find the flour sack material, people like to use them for dish towels, they’re lint free, compared to the terry cloth ones. 🙂
