I'm a township trustee in Central Ohio. We are looking at buying one this spring. Your video was a good , hands on look at what it can do. Thanks for the great video !!
That’s great! I’m glad it helped! I live in central ohio as well. Foltz Ag in Lancaster is my local dealer and they are awesome to deal with. Thanks for the kind words!
I have a Ls MT225e with the Lane Shark LS3 brush cutter. I use it mainly for clearing brush that’s too thick to walk through. I’ll try to post some videos of it later. I haven’t done any in a while, been busy with other things.
Proper install of the hydraulics will prevent heat buildup. Lane Shark recommends installing a C-Flow kit from WR Long. The allows the return line to bypass valves and go directly to the sump. This prevents heat buildup from friction in the valves.
Since tractors are not optimized for back and forth movement (like a mini-excavator), I would suggest leaving the cutter a set height and make a full run the length of your brush line. I would then return to the beginning, set my height to the next level, and go. The stop/start and up/down doesn't seem as efficient as using it as you would a bush hog.
I’m the same way. I don’t like music and videos so I don’t use it, but there are a lot of successful channels that play music all the time. I guess there’s an audience that likes that.
@@TripleTAcres Mike Morgan is like my hero as a TH-camr and he plays music all the time in his videos. So it’s personal preference not right and wrong but for me I just don’t like the music.

I run one on my tractor (JD 3033R) and just love how easy it is to use. Also the company is great to work with.
Heck yeah! They are great for sure.

That’s great pal! These things work really well!
Cool tool. I think I'd want a cab or at least a windshield with that thing though! Tractor Hard!
I agree! I never had anything fly at me. Maybe I was just lucky. 🤷🏻♂️
Agreed. Annoying music. I stopped watching with sound.
@@jimmerrithew453sorry buddy. I’m still figuring this TH-cam thing out. Thanks for the feedback.
That thing looks handy for Trail maintenance !
For sure! I was super impressed with it so far. I have a few other projects I can’t wait to use it on.
That's a really cool mower right there. I can see this in my future !
It’s super cool!
What is the advertised diameter of brush/limbs that this thing will cut?
2”-3” diameter limbs. I have found it has no problem with that.
Hydraulic fluid temps get hot and how would you know? Will the tractor tell you fluid temp?

Great point!
I want one for my open cab tractor this is the first open cab tractor lane shark equipped video ive seen have you got hit by any flying debris?
They are sweet! Nope, nothing has ever come close. It seems to keep it all in front of it.
Which ls tractor do you have?
I have the LS XR3135. It’s a 35hp shuttle shift with 8.2 gpm hydraulic flow.
I’m not a big fan, it obviously works but it’s pretty limiting.
Have you personally used one?
I used a buddy’s and it really takes a lot of back and forth , kinda chews more than cuts … not worth 10 k …
That wasn’t my experience and it definitely didn’t cost 10k more like 5k.
Please use Safety glasses.
I like these types of videos, but man you have to ditch the background music. People want to hear the machinery, not that garbage.

@RockhillfarmYT for sure. This was an early video of mine. I’ve learned since then.
