    Yes, a "gumption block", just like in the book; my son bought me the anniversary edition, and am reading it again. Pirsig stated on the first page that his book had little to do with Zen, nor motorcycle maintenance. How true!

      Thanks for the comment. It has been decades since I read that book, but I do recall that the contents had little to do with the title. It's chock full of wise philosophy and a worthwhile read for anyone, biker or otherwise. Cheers!

    Those older Nighthawks were the best looking motorcycles Honda has ever made. Nowadays everything looks like it stepped out of a Transformer movie 😢

      I agree! The 82 Nighthawk had a bit of a cruiser look, but it was done in good taste, not overdone like so many other bikes of that era. Cheers!
