Love ur videos and so nice to see Rebecca❗️. U guys work so well together.. Priceless how she walked up to the turkey , picked him up, put him back on the pen!…Awesome..👍👍😊😊😊
“ I smell pig” - I would always feed/check on my pigs before going to school and sometimes I would need to step in the pen. I always clean off my boots if I got something on them. In my 9th grade English class I sat in the back of the room by the heater. I remember my teacher stopping her lecture and asked “where are the pig farmers in this room”. You maybe able to clean your boots but when you heat them up the smell comes back. From then on I always wore my rubber boots when checking on the pigs before catching the school bus.
I must say Rebecca you sure have come a long way with these videos! You guys sure do make a great team. Still chuckling about when Rebecca reached in her jacket and said... time to bring out the big boys!
Hello I'm sure you got a good deal on that trailer I like it. Your pigs they are big nice looking. Can see you take good care of them. When I was a kid we had 30 pigs and nobody had the brains back then to set up the trailer before loading day. During the storm of 77 if you know of in Ontario and New York Pennsylvania etc. we had a pig that broke out the barn the day before the storm. She was out in that storm and for 3 months never saw her. She showed up one day her hair 3" long. Have a great day.
Those are some chunky pork chops! Like others have said, love seeing Rebekah feeling more comfortable with the camera. Always love it when you two do things together.
If you end the fence at the bottom of the ramp instead of the top, there would be no gap for pigs or dogs to squeeze under the trailer - and no need to use cinder blocks. Also, with the fence ending at the bottom of the ramp, if the ramp is wide enough, you might be able to position the tee posts in front of where the ramp touches the ground, instead of to the sides of the ramp, which would pin the ramp securely in place. This would prevent the top of the ramp from slipping off the trailer if it is jiggled loose by those heavy pigs going up and down it.
Love the idea that Rebekah is taking a more active role in the Vlogs. Rebekah you have been at this long enough that your input is important and it matters. Both of you make a great team. Keep it up guys…
Suggestion - Make a permanent opening into your pig area that is just wide enough to place the ramp in with removable wires or gate between those posts. Then you just remove the wire gate, place the ramp and back the trailer up. Don't have to worry about them or others getting in or out through the gaps .
My wife was feeding our turkeys and they became domesticated... On Freezer Camp Eve when we went to load them, the first three practically walked into the crates... by the 4th and 5th ones they were getting wise and realizing what was going down... by the 11th one, which we'll call Tom Balboa, it gave my Son who was snagging them up, a whompin like I've never seen. That turkey knew that when the human males catch ya, ya don't come back
Your doing fine fixing the electric fence. When I'm bringing my electric fence around a metal pole to keep it from grounding out I cut a piece of water hose and run it through it, lol it works.
Always expect the unexpected and just do the best you can do. Thats where a husband and wife teamwork is the greatest thing cause you have the common goal
You definitely have a muddy mess like you said. But with all the rains it's hard not too. Marshmallows have always been my magic weapon to get all kinds of farm animals to do what I want them to do.
A clear indication of what goal-setting and hard work combined with marital teamwork, can accomplish. And I love Miss Rebekah's greater participation in the on-cam announce! Nicely done!
Lovely way to wake up. Living through your eyes. Nice to see you guys expose a little more personality. That pig is HUGE!! You've done so great this year on the farm! Everything is really coming together so nicely.
Freezer Camp! I am dying here...that is hilarious! Thanks for sharing your journey, our family enjoys watching your channel. It gives the city kids a chance to get a little glimpse into Country Life!
So good to see Rebekah taking such a lead role in the video ❤️ Those pigs sure do look tasty 😋🥓 🐷 Oh...I forgot! Do you still have the boy goats? We haven't seen or heard about them in a long time Joanna Corpus Christi TX
That’s hilarious that Scout is head over heals for marshmallows of all things. He stayed glued to whoever had them. Wow, these pigs did load easier than the previous two. Good job!
Hello from the Netherlands . maybe it's an idea to weld on those hinges that have a grease nipple on them. this makes it easier to keep the hinges moving if it has not been used for a longer period of time. thanks for the video . Sincerely Hollandduck from the Netherlands
The marshmallow treat works for pigs and dogs and that was a good idea. Rebecca just picked that tom turkey up with no problem and that is unusual. Rebecca has a special bond with the animals and you can tell they love her. The training the pigs by feeding them in the trailer worked well and worked for the cows also. Looks like every thing is working well on the farm.
Absolutely wonderful video, I loved when the turkeys followed Rebecca around (I can never remember how you spell your name, I feel so embarrassed about it every time!) and you could just pick them up, never seen turkeys being like that, its cute! :) Also very funny how the pigs and dogs loves marshallows ^^
Love those early-misty mornings when everything is fresh and the whole day lays ahead. Smart thinking on the loading situation. That can and often does turn into a fiasco come day of departure. Great video coverage guys looking forward to the next.
I've watch your videos for a while now. I've noticed your very organized. I'm the same way I have bad OCD about being organized. When I was growing up my dad used to always yell at us to put tools back when we're done. I catch myself saying the same thing to my kids. Enjoy watching the way you plan things out and your organization. Mahalo
Rebekah would say otherwise. TH-cam may make it look that way. I do plan ahead, and know what I want to do, but my stuff is not organized, I am always looking to misplaced tools.
@@CountryViewAcres from what we see it looks that way but keep up the good work I enjoy watching you guys go through all the seasons. Where I'm from it's hot year around it gets cooler in the winter when we have snow on the mountain. Low 60 for us that's kinda cold cause we're use to 80 . Aloha
No treats for Maggie? Sitting there licking her chops while the other two were getting all the attention and treats! Loved all the animal and nature shots. What's happening with the goats?
Wow Evan. I've been a watcher since the beginning and it's unreal what you'd have done at the farm..great work and always injoyed your videos thank you.
I noticed you mentioned processor in Sumner IL. My brother farmed inin Lawrence and Crawford Counties until he passed. His son continues to farm in those areas. Lives in Pinkstaff IL.
Great job Rebecca and Evan , that was a good training session with the marshmallows. Glad you’re getting the pigs trained so easily and will make it less stressful for them and you both too. You’re doing a great job around there. Really enjoy watching your videos. Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻
And marshmallows really are delicious !!!! Great idea training the dogs with them also. Thanks for sharing the video. I think you need to get some Wellies before you go back into that pig area. Have a Blessed day.
Just a thought for next time….. end the electric fence at the bottom of the ramp. Then you don’t have to worry about them getting out (or critters in) underneath the trailer and it’s a smaller opening you need to make in the fence line. It might also be a great place/excuse for a future fence gate… It makes the whole process simple; back up the trailer, set up ramp, tie open gate and you’re done.
Evan, them Ariat boots are tough as nails... what model did they send you? I'm looking at getting some new ones, and I have Parkinson's, so I'm giving up my lace up Combat Boots, and going for pull on type. Those are Ariats are really cool!
It did great lots of fruit. The problem was, it got swarmed by hornets. I didn't know hornets ate fruit, but they do. You could only pick fruit during the rain or when it was cold, or else it might pick a fruit that had a hornet in it.
Really enjoying the vlogs! Are you still in the same Ariat that they gave you to try out for them? I’ve got 5 or 6 pair and mine have lasted a long time. But I’m only around horses and the barn. Not as much as you are around on the farm. Just curious if yours are lasting
Thoroughly enjoy your videos.
Thanks for taking us along! Have a blessed day!
Love ur videos and so nice to see Rebecca❗️. U guys work so well together.. Priceless how she walked up to the turkey , picked him up, put him back on the pen!…Awesome..👍👍😊😊😊
Gotta love that photo-bombing turkey! He is quite handsome.
"Want a hug?"...lol
That turkey for sure knows when a camera is on!

Great having Rebecca doing videos with you. Great job. Now you'll have marshmallow flavored pork? Lol
Those are some chunky pork chops! Like others have said, love seeing Rebekah feeling more comfortable with the camera. Always love it when you two do things together.
I remember our neighbor pig farmer spreading pig manure on his fields with a high pressure gun over 200 feet radius. What a smell for miles around.
Love to see you two working together, makes me 😂 you are an awesome team...

Who knew marshmallows would be the magic food treat. 😂
We kept pigs for years, and we would've loved knowing that little trick.
Miss Rebekah is quite critter-knowledgeable!

Nothing like pig fragrance. Lol.
Great Job!!!

Looking forward to some of that smoked bacon. 👍👍💚🐖🐖
Your property is beautiful !
Would never thought to use marshmallows. What a clever thing
A clear indication of what goal-setting and hard work combined with marital teamwork, can accomplish. And I love Miss Rebekah's greater participation in the on-cam announce! Nicely done!
The two of you work so well together. It's nice to see so much cooperation!
Those are some fine lookinge Herefords y'all have there.
Those turkeys are beautiful.
"Freezer Camp"..............So funny.
Lovely way to wake up. Living through your eyes. Nice to see you guys expose a little more personality. That pig is HUGE!! You've done so great this year on the farm! Everything is really coming together so nicely.
Hmm... if the hogs don't want to load... just break out the stihl trimmer... push them right on in! LOL
You’ve got them all sorted.
Freezer Camp! I am dying here...that is hilarious! Thanks for sharing your journey, our family enjoys watching your channel. It gives the city kids a chance to get a little glimpse into Country Life!

Love watching goodbye pigs! God-blessy'all!

Wow, these pigs did load easier than the previous two. Good job!
Our best training tool for our Black Lab were cubes of cheddar cheese!
Good job 👍
You guys make a great team 👍
Rebecca...the brains of the outfit, hahaha. Naw only joking. Great teamwork.

I love the markings on Scout, he's beautiful.
Cool animal shoot that’s a muddy mess
That turkey is just like a dog! Lol to funny 😄

Marshmellows???😋
Forget the pigs! Train me!!! 😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻

Hi Miss Maggie. I’ve missed you. 🐾 🐾 💕

On the ramp add plywood to the inside, as long as the pig 🐖 can only see in front and not to the side he will go in easier
You guys have launched a new marketing strategy: Marshmallow flavored Bacon!
No treats for Maggie? Sitting there licking her chops while the other two were getting all the attention and treats! Loved all the animal and nature shots. What's happening with the goats?

Always something to fix on the farm
Great job Rebecca. You’re getting more comfortable on camera. We love watching you two work together. Keep up the great work
Does Evan do what he is told for a marsh mellow 😂
Alright ,Rebecca ! Great job . You to Evan .lol
Yeah Rebecca!
Soon there will be pork chops and bacon in the freezer. Yum-yum-yum. Full-watch. 👍🏽🙂
Good video
I love the photo bombing turkey strutting his stuff.
Freezer camp …. Love it.

Did the little pup get a marshmallow too??? It was sitting there saying what about me??? LOL
thanks for explaining about the ramp. that ramp is really nice.
You need Muck boots, thanks for the informative video I’m setting up a pig pen next year and hopefully get some piglets in 2023!
What a pretty view you have! Stubborn pigs ?🐖

Pigs are always a challenge to get loaded up
Howdy Evan and Rebekah, my wife has used marshmallows to train me for years....now I have Type 2 diabetes.... Have A Day! ;~)
I was thinking maybe you could buy an old trailer and set it up like that for a shed nice work you guys.
pigs/mud
One of the things I hated was mud when I had hogs and I didn't want them confined to small concrete slabs.
I would like to know how much they weigh. Thank you, and have a blessed day🙂
You can keep marshmellows in the freezer. They thaw fine.
Cool
So cool to see and have your wife talk on the video, ask her to raise the hat some.
Hmmm..... this pork chop tastes a little like????? marshmallows!
Oh boy...First Steak now Bacon......
I think I put some straw here on the ramp
I hope Maggie got her share of marshmallows.
Bacon!
Lol farming with marshmallows. What the heck
Wellingtons for xmas ? 😂😂
Very humane!
Poor maggie dog didn't get a marshmellow
Still looking around here for pork, I’ll ask the butcher.
Smells like Bacon 🥓 right.
Evan, them Ariat boots are tough as nails... what model did they send you? I'm looking at getting some new ones, and I have Parkinson's, so I'm giving up my lace up Combat Boots, and going for pull on type. Those are Ariats are really cool!
I don't remember the model. But I have been wearing them 2 years. And they are still doing good.
Tell me about your stock trailer, make, length, bought new/used? I'm looking myself and debating new or old for a 16/18 foot one. Thanks
Just wondering.....how did the orchard do this year??
It did great lots of fruit. The problem was, it got swarmed by hornets. I didn't know hornets ate fruit, but they do. You could only pick fruit during the rain or when it was cold, or else it might pick a fruit that had a hornet in it.
Really enjoying the vlogs! Are you still in the same Ariat that they gave you to try out for them? I’ve got 5 or 6 pair and mine have lasted a long time. But I’m only around horses and the barn. Not as much as you are around on the farm. Just curious if yours are lasting
Yes, that is the same pair of Ariat boots they sent me.
Please guys don’t feed your dogs marshmallows. AKC says they can be toxic. Sugar not good for dogs. We used kibble bits as treats to train. ❤️
