I am from a ranching and farming family. I married a man from the same type background. We both worked other side jobs at times but, the country life is the best and the best way to raise children. It really teaches them so much more than just what they learned in public school. And there was always time to go to the lake, BBQs, rodeos (we're Texas people,) sports and friends.

You take extremely good care of your animals and I love to see that. I am so impressed with that young family. They are giving their children the training they need concerning responsibility and accountability. They are also teaching them about the basics of life (the creation and beginning of life) and providing them the foundation for becoming responsible adults. Would that more parents took that approach to child rearing. I love your videos.

Awesome video! Every kid in America should be required to watch this. When I was kid, a family friend was a large animal vet. I spent a lot of time trudging around on the farms of Lancaster PA in rubber boots and jeans getting filthy helping that man work on farm animals. We did births, surgery, vaccinations you name it. It was really cool to have that opportunity. I loved every minute of it and developed a true appreciation for the farming lifestyle. I did not grow up on a farm and I don't have that kind of property now but still envy those people.

We used to have piglets. When our neighbors bought a few, they build a nice pen and fence. But after 2 days the piglets were everywhere but in the pen. They dug their way out underneith the fence. We found our neighbors chasing the piglets all over place, it was hilarious. Of course we helped catching them, and it's now a great story on birthdays 🙂What an awesome family.

I'll just put in my order, now ... for 20 pounds of ribs -- barbecued! And The same, center cut bacon, applewood smoked! THANK you! 🙂

Great to see this, the childeren work on the farm and do there job.
The kid sead, no work no food.
    That is whrigt.
Here in Holland we have a big problem,a lot of farmers hase to end of there farms.
The must stop because to muche stikstof in the ground.
The wil not stop but Europa said to much farmers and that is not good.
But the farmers saying, no farmers no food and thats what it is ,NO FARMERS NO FOOD.
I hope that the farmers can stay and do there job .
Thanks fore making this film .

We, I used a drill with a dry wall mud mixer to mix water and wheat middlings as a wet feed for pigs. About 2.5 gallons water 💧 and rest wheat middlings the water 💧 helps with digestion and helps keep them hydrated too. When I was younger we used wheat middlings and a 55 gallon drum and it would ferment during the week I use middlings/shorts interchangeable the pigs are always trying to knock you down to get to the feed.

Just a comment, nothing really to do with this particular video, although it must rate as one of the best ever. But , just in case you have never come across this, fix a standard vehicle tow hitch to the front of one of your tractors or a useful similar truck etc. I spent years moving trailers, towed vehicles of all kinds. Because of the fact that the steering front end moves virtually instantly it is so much easier to reverse anything into a limited space for storage etc.. It is quite easy to make up a universal front towing hitch assembly. My personal favourite was on a medium sized Kubota unit basically used with a grass cutting set up, but was used regularly to push stuff around. Forgive me if you already have such thing.
Born and raised on a farm some 80 years really enjoy your videos,if we knew then what you know now.

Country life is a great way to raise a family and so is a city/town life, it all depends on the people doing the raising ... lol. We raised our two boys in a neighborhood where everyone knew each other but had a big yard (2 or 3 acres) that was just outside of town so, it wasn't rural and wasn't a city neighborhood either. They both have their own families now.. well, one has three kids, and the other is just about to have his first but, they are wonderful husbands/fathers that my wife and I could not be prouder of. It's like everything in life, there is good and bad in just about every situation it just depends on the individuals.
