Puerto Rico= great food, beautiful beaches, great nightlife, peaceful areas, a ton of U.S. stores and and pharmacies, No Passport, U.S. Currency and bilingual people. Local stores may be a little bit more $ but buying local boost the Island's economy. Welcome to Your own little piece of paradise 😊🇵🇷😊

I became addicted to PR food. There's nothing like it on Earth.
The food is AMAZING... I've visited about 12 or 13 times. Going back in July for 3 weeks. We rent a car & drive the entire island. Definitely a good idea to get with the locals so they can show you the secret spots...

Thanks for visiting us.... I hope you have a really good experience in our island.... The best lechon is in guavate, please go there to El Pino where Antony Bourdain rolled a chapter of his series... And el Rancho original also in La ruta del Lechon Guavate... If you go there in a Sunday you will see how a boricua party... In el rancho original its always a music group with live music kind of guajira its a mix of bachata and merengue... And people have their own style to dance it... And of course it's loud and crowded everywhere.... But its amazing!!!! Also, you have to go to Piñones, that's a street full of local street food.... Bacalaitos, alcapurrias, it's a must.... Also you have to visit Boqueron in Cabo Rojo.... The best pastelillos de Chapin are from there, well also in El Malecon en Naguabo there its a really good place to visit and eat.... In every corner of this island there is something to see, experience, visit or eat.... It's not just San Juan.... It's a lot more...

I liked how you mentioned that you were visiting less than a year after the hurricane that destroyed so much, and that the people were still being as vibrant as they could be, you could see it physically but you couldnt feel it, that vibrance is still there. I love that. I was there for my tenth time in august last year and I noticed the same vibe. I love puerto rico , the culture, the landscape, the beaches, food and culture, I care for these people so much and I hope things continue to get better. I will be back soon!
This comment made me so happy. Their spirit is the one thing that has always stuck with me, its hard to forget. We are definitely planning on coming back as soon as possible.
@@juandelatorre80 if you go back, book before you go with this company called East Island Excursions. They will take you sailing to Icacos island, its my most favorite place in puerto rico. they also feed you and make you rum drinks all day and provide snorkle gear, and pick you up from wherever you are staying too. ive gone with them times now. its about 70 a person or so. best experience ive ever had in puerto rico.

Nooo! The best lechon is in las lechoneras en Guavate.... Antony Bourdain said it specifically in El pino in Guavate....

You have to plan a trip where you can see the sunrise in the east of the island, going thru amazing spots, beautiful sights, couple of different historic places, great food and then that same day finish it having a piña colada on a beach in the West in front of a spectacular and colorful sunset.... I have make that trip once and was the most perfect experience that I had being a boricua in the island....

You have to return. San Juan and what we call Metropolitan Zone has over 1,000 places to eat. We have 78 town in total.

No No Ahh the mofongo was delicious. We actually did have mofongo but werent able to capture it correctly for the video/: But it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a staple of Puerto Rican cuisine

It is the best food in the world. Platanos are not like bananas. I oould eat those everyday, fried, boiled, broiled, as mofongo, amarillos, tostones, lasagna de platanos.... I can go on and on. It is one of my favorite places. The people make it even more special.

Dear Americans tourist dont fly drones over La Perla. Also wath out taking photos down there too, Your drone or Camera might be get confiscated by residents. They aint going to steal it, but they might make you erase some photos.
Thats because people be up in their business. As long as no one mess with the underworld in PR they will be fine. I haven't said anything thats not known already.

The best roasted chiken whit fries in Santurce, you guy pass El verde in Rio Grande best roasted chicken whit yuca ever. Guavate is where you can experience more about Lechon.

Great food, wonderful people. We visited there Jan 2020 for a week. Mainly around Durango, it was great. When you want to take break from PR food for a sec, there is a pizza place called Pirilo, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life.

Sullivan's is my favorite!!! I used to live down the street from it, calle Betances. Place has been around forever. It was back in the 90s when I went there.

Just to clarify, not all places make mofongo with fresh plantain. With fresh plantain is wayyyyy better.
