I always felt so bad for the foster parents. Especially for Joann. She just wanted to be a mother and help out these kids. It was a little heartbreaking for me as a child.
I don't remember the story much. Why was Andy's mom NOT around? Why was he suddenly in foster care? In the 1st movie they all seemed just fine as a family. Now he's in foster care?
Because his mother got sent to a nut house because no one believed her about Chucky. That's why he was in foster care. What I didn't understand though was that they never followed up on the cop (Mike) and the other cop that Chucky almost strangled in the apartment. They both witnessed Chucky trying to kill them so why wouldn't they defend the mother?
I saw the film on TV for the first time when I was a kid (it was one of those channels that adds commercials). And I totally remember that version using this alternate ending.
They should've just used that alternate ending as the opening for Child's Play 3, no point in making a new opening that's almost identical to this alternate ending
Yes, Child's play 2 and 3 have no special features in the Blu-Ray besides the theatrical trailers, they should release especial editions of the whole franchise especially part 2 and 3 and also bride with more especial features to be honest.
These scenes were shown intact during it's run on USA and SyFy during the 90's and early-mid 2000's to hype the premiere of Seed of Chucky which released in 2004.
It was drawn out, and why would he have case files about charles lee ray and a picture of his body? But the scenes where he calls his wife that he's working late again then right afterwards makes the phone call to his "girlfriend" that we see in the movie, this way you want to see him get killed but he seemed innocent without these scenes.
yep i remember this version being on tv back then, it was pretty cool and I certainly noticed the difference when I got my copy of CP2 a couple of years ago, I was a little freaked out because i was so sure I remembered it differently
I'm a big fan of the chucky movies and I've seen all 6 of them. Out the six movies, I'll to go with child's play 2 and curse of chucky because they had an unraveling twist especially at the ending of the movie 😊

Okay, so I remember an alternate intro to Child's play 2, if anyone else knows this, that would be great. Now, I remember Child's play 2 having an alternate intro where it starts where the previous movie ended. The scene begins back at Andy's apartment; inside Andy's mom room. Two men in blue uniforms pick up and collect the burnt chucky head and bring it back to the shop. My memory is fuzzy and I saw this on cable tv back in the early 1990s, around 94-95. I even looked up all over youtube and the internet. Apparently there was such a scene as it has been mention by others. But no such luck on it. What do you think poster?
I remember watching this movie on VHS when I was 5 and holy hell did it scare the crap out of me. I would watch it all the time when it would air on USA or Syfy (back then it was still "Sci-Fi") back in the late 90's, early 00's and I always thought that the scenes in this video were part of the movie, not deleted or extended. It all makes sense now though because I was watching it again a few weeks ago on IFC for Halloween and I thought I was going crazy for thinking that there were some scenes missing.
The scene where Chucky rummaged through Mattson's Briefcase and comes across his human picture and flick through documents and files is so AWESOME, they should have added it in
You know, this was the first horror movie I ever saw, catching it on TV as a kid. It freaked me out pretty bad and stuck with me for a while after that, and interestingly... I distinctly remember that last scene with Chucky's new head being in there. So I can only assume that it was added back in for the TV version. Not sure about the other scenes.
The last deleted scene should have been in the movie, such a cliffhanger! Would probably make everybody want ANOTHER movie. (I mean, before the 3rd one was made.)
@@thedarkcreole Yeah, mine too, I love all three but the 3rd one has some of his greatest lines and I love the "carnival" scene at the end, not to mention the president of the toy company getting massacred in his own penthouse by chucky, that was pretty sweet too.
I love Child's Play 2, but one problem I always had is that Phil and Joanne needed a little more development. Adding at least a couple of these scenes would've helped with that.
Can someone please tell me what year and version of this film *doesn't* include these scenes? I know all of these scenes have been included in broadcast copies (specifically the one licensed to the USA Network), and most of them I have on my personal VHS copy of this film. From Wikipedia: Child's Play 2 was first released on VHS in North America on April 11, 1991. The film was later released on DVD in 1999. Child's Play 2 was also re-released in The Chucky Collection (which also featured Child's Play 3 and Bride of Chucky) in 2003. On September 19, 2006 it was released as part of Chucky - The Killer DVD Collection (alongside Child's Play 3, Bride of Chucky, and Seed of Chucky). On October 8, 2013, Child's Play 2 was re-released on DVD and Blu-ray as part of Chucky: The Complete Collection (alongside the original Child's Play, Child's Play 3, Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky, and Curse of Chucky). So which of these releases does not include the deleted scenes shown here as part of the actual film?
All releases you mentioned (VHS/DVD/Blu-ray) do not include the scenes. I own all of these editions and the scenes aren't on them. These scenes were included in TV broadcasts of the film to help fill the allotted time frame that the movie was scheduled to air. They no longer air on TV because commercials run longer than they used to, making the extra scenes unnecessary. If you own an officially released edition of this movie on VHS with these scenes included, it's some sort of rarity. You might consider uploading it on TH-cam for the fans.
Sorry for just now seeing your comment, as far as I know...I previously owned the Killer DVD collection from 2006. That was before a friend lost my disk for parts 2/3. But on that Killer Doll collection they did not have these extended/Alternate/Deleted scenes on it. If my memory serves correctly...I've since gained a two pack with just 2/3 on a normal DVD that might have it...but I haven't watched the disk of that yet...
i think this was on the bluray series box set. the color is a bit bleached but u can tell it was fixed a bit and the audio is smoother than a virgin's vagina so there was obvious enhancement from a VHS release or film strip rerelease.
Child's Play 1 and 2 were really good, but the third was... ok. But it was good, but dang, 3 were just enough, the other 3 involved Chucky having stitches. Thank you John thank you so much.
I'm glad that they decided to cut out #7 scene. It gives the character more empathy when he is killed, and he not made to be just some adulterer who got what he deserved.
This is just about everything, but one thing missing is, when Kyle is chasing the newspaper truck towards the end, there is an extended shot of her cutting down a side alley waiting for the truck to drive by.
I don't even think the now out of print, extended cut DVD of Childs Play 2 had some of these scene's. Not to mention that alternate ending shot was exclusively aired to the Sy Fy channel, thx for the upload!
I remember seeing the alternate ending with the credits when I was a kid on HBO one Halloween while hanging out with my sister and babysitter the time Halloween fell on a weekend. I sure wish they kept that on the DVD and VHS Version rather than the way they ended in with Andy and Kylie just leaving it makes it more creepy and also leads into part 3
No. Joanne was worse than Phil. She felt for Andy just a selfish love, because she saw him as a means to fill the void in her heart for the fact that she could not have her children. For it is with Phil death that the selfish nature of Joanne emerges, because it is something really inhuman to blame a child for the death of a person. And Joanne sent Andy away because she wanted to hurt and traumatize him.
Joanne said while packing Andy’s clothes that phil would still be alive if only she’d listen to him and just send Andy back. If she would have agreed to send Andy back then Chucky would have followed Andy and left the simpsons alone. Then Phil and Joanne would have lived.
I definitely remember seeing some of these on TV growing up and sort of recall it being in TV again not too long ago. Where I live we have an on demand option and on Showtime it has this and three on. I feel like some of those scenes were added in... Maybe it's just me.
That alternate scene where the worker flies through the glass and lands on the floor dead looks more tamed and not bloody at all (and adding a temporary power outage to it gives a nice touch). Personally, I felt that scene should've stayed instead of the final cut that remains now.
What I don t understand is everyone knew Charles lee ray. Is a real person a killer Andy knew all about him and people still refused to believe that he was in that doll Andy knew personal details about Charles lee ray
omg, I always felt like my mp4 version was missing something, I remember watching CP2 on VHS back in the early 90s and it had all of these scenes. (T_T)
I honestly prefer the alternate ending over the one we got. It would make sense to return to it at the beginning of three and start from there. Maybe Child's Play 3 wouldn't be so shitty if they kept this ending and started the third with them rebuilding Chucky (Again) and have him go after Andy (Played by Alex Vincent) and Kyle (Played by Christine Elise) for revenge and new body. Not have his blood drip into the molten plastic 8 years later and make that the way he came back. Plus cut out the whole 8 year jump and military camp bullshit.
@@AJice1980 In the 5 years since this comment, I've gained a bit of an appreciation for it. It's definitely not as bad as Seed, but not as great as the first two in my eyes
I remember seeing that original ending and when chucky smiles you could see one of the crews hand move..perhaps it was not cropped out when I saw it a while ago
I seen this on vhs way back in the day,and seem to remember an alternate death scene for jenny agutter involving the sewing machine shes seen using in a couple of scenes. Can find no trace or reference to this scene anywhere..making me think my traumatised mind made it up! Worrying :/
those parents were told that he was scared of good guy dolls why did they get him one?! as a kid i had an amazing ally doll which is basically a real version of the good guy doll minus the killing part.
I bought an extended edition of Child's Play 2 on ebay. In fact I have 2 copies of this and the scene where Phil and Joanne stop to talk to Andy before they introduce Andy to the inside of the home is still cut from both discs I have of this... the rest of all the scenes though are all still in it. Atleast my favorite deleted scene is in it.. the brief case scene is my favorite... it looks so stalkerish seeing Chucky dig through all those personal papers about Andy. Edit: There is a deleted scene you forgot to throw in there. The scene where Kyle is chasing Chucky and Andy in the Delevery Truck and she stops and looks for the truck and sees it passing by.
I have the scene, but I must of just forgot to put it in. I actually have a TV version downloaded onto my laptop that was aired on Sci-Fi in 2004. It has every deleted scene except for the one where they stop in the driveway before they go in the house. I had to get that clip from a youtube video.
I have Child's Play 2 recorded from Sci Fi and that scene where they stop and talk to Andy in the drive way is in it. Its on tape though and its not uncensored of course due to the prophanity cut out and commercials added to it.... And its on tape. well im not sure as to why it isn't on your copy. So your copy of CP2 the bootleg you got on ebay has that scene in it? where they stop in the drive way?
No. It doesn't. I downloaded a TV rip of Child's Play 2 Sci-Fi version off of a website called TehParadox and it's not in there. After the deleted scene where Joanne asks Andy if he's okay after they almost gets hit it fades to black (because there was a commercial) and comes back on when Andy is walking through the living room of the house.
that deleted scene with Andy and the doctor is what helped me catch up because I haven't seen the first one for so long, I never really knew what was going on.
I wish they included all the deleted scenes in the blu ray collection. its obvious you can tell they cut out the rest of the scene when the orphanage lady says "Andy just wants to get on with his life..." i remember her continuing to talk after that and the blu ray version just cuts off right after that.
I swear on my DVD the Part at the beginning when Andy is talking to the therapist guy all the sudden I can hear a growling noise. Creeps me out big time! Is this on anyone else’s copy? Or has anyone else noticed this?
I always felt so bad for the foster parents. Especially for Joann. She just wanted to be a mother and help out these kids. It was a little heartbreaking for me as a child.
Ruben R. I wonder what was their reason for not being able to have kids
I'm guessing that Joanne was unable to become pregnant.
I dont think Phil had a weiner.
I don't remember the story much. Why was Andy's mom NOT around? Why was he suddenly in foster care? In the 1st movie they all seemed just fine as a family. Now he's in foster care?

Maybe Child's Play 3 wouldn't be so shitty if they kept this ending and started the third with them rebuilding Chucky (Again) and have him go after Andy (Played by Alex Vincent) and Kyle (Played by Christine Elise) for revenge and new body. Not have his blood drip into the molten plastic 8 years later and make that the way he came back. Plus cut out the whole 8 year jump and military camp bullshit.
I must be the only person in the world who liked CP3
@@AJice1980 In the 5 years since this comment, I've gained a bit of an appreciation for it. It's definitely not as bad as Seed, but not as great as the first two in my eyes
My dvd has all these scenes in
I WNAT it n mine
Sorry for spelling
I like the alter ending
I remember seeing that original ending and when chucky smiles you could see one of the crews hand move..perhaps it was not cropped out when I saw it a while ago
It is cropped out in this video.
The last bit should of been left in, it looked creepy as fuck.
A lot of these scenes should of been kept.
Joanne delt with killer werewolves in the past a killer doll should be a walk in the park
I seen this on vhs way back in the day,and seem to remember an alternate death scene for jenny agutter involving the sewing machine shes seen using in a couple of scenes. Can find no trace or reference to this scene anywhere..making me think my traumatised mind made it up! Worrying :/
anyone else prefer this movie to the original?
MrBibi86 me
They should of kept them in.
Deleted Scenes are the best. They should stay in the movie😊
those parents were told that he was scared of good guy dolls why did they get him one?! as a kid i had an amazing ally doll which is basically a real version of the good guy doll minus the killing part.
I hope one day to get an extended directors cut of this!
How did you get these Scenes?
I bought an extended edition of the film off of ebay and burned it to my laptop.
MF MT
illegial
The movie was a bootleg and not an official release. There was no warning about duplication of the film before it started.
Ok i see u
+MF MT You mean the composite dvd from Retro Horror Remix ?
11:55 sounded cheesy
It is pretty cheesy, but it's alternate so I included it.
Hi, thanks for the video, sorry? Might put the scenes in HD? Thank you.
Im missing of the best movie i was scrared but know chucky is like the best know
I bought an extended edition of Child's Play 2 on ebay.
Damn! I thought I had all of them in here. Thanks for pointing that out though.
yw. don't worry as I mentioned, im missing a scene too. I always wondered if the directors filmed these scenes when they made the movie.
That's actually a social worker at the Children's Crisis Center, regardless I do agree that the deleted scene does help sum up the first one.
Is it just me or Andy's adopted parents home looks like a doll house inside?
Nice vid I love chucky im subing
I wish they included all the deleted scenes in the blu ray collection. its obvious you can tell they cut out the rest of the scene when the orphanage lady says "Andy just wants to get on with his life..." i remember her continuing to talk after that and the blu ray version just cuts off right after that.
So and the deleted scenes Phil was more of an asshole!! Glad Chucky got him
When mattson called his side chick after he called his wife chucky gave him that face like really dude??? 🤣🤣🤣
I swear on my DVD the Part at the beginning when Andy is talking to the therapist guy all the sudden I can hear a growling noise. Creeps me out big time! Is this on anyone else’s copy? Or has anyone else noticed this?
1:18! It is on there! I wonder if that was done on purpose. Or is it possessed?
