The Tyler and Andy scenes add a lot to their relationship I think, he feels as significant as Kyle was in part 2 instead of just being a random little boy who also goes to the school where Andy does.
The weakest movie of the original trilogy perhaps. The reshots are kinda censored, so they would at most increase runtime since they don't add much to the plot unfortunately :(
Tbh having that scene with the teacher wouldn't be so bad! Pretty good quote I must say that would show Andy giving up his fear and showing progress on his character development

The classroom scene should have been kept in the final film. Not only was the teacher the only nice adult at Kent, but what she said about never underestimating the enemy was symbolic. Andy remembered to never underestimate Chucky, which pays off when he defeats and kills Chucky later on.
That last deleted scene is exactly how it should've been in the actual movie. Who agrees??? Cause if you look at the regular version, when Chucky lands on the fan, his face is facing up towards the camera, but here it's facing down at the fan how it should be since he landed facing down at the fan. So how did he quickly spin and make it so he landed facing away from the fan and to the camera???? Yeah cause it's wrong. This alternate cut is how it should've been and Idk why they didn't add it. It's so stupid that the kept the wrong one.
My first time watching this and childs play 2 was on the USA network and SCI FI Channel. So I had no idea that these scenes were originally deleted scenes until years later when I saw the Theatrucal version. I was quite disappointed for sure.
You're killing me with that USA Network logo, KILLING me!:) The more Andy AND Andy/Tyler interaction the BETTER since those two are the whole POINT of the movie:) The lecture about underestimating the enemy would have been SO PERFECT for A Nightmare on Elm Street except Napoleon represents Freddy:) Methinks this movie removed these scenes just to tick me OFF because as small and brief as they are they actually add a LOT:) Sheldon is the BEST human antagonist in this series, and Tiffany COULD have dethroned him if Mancini had written 'Bride' better...
The school went bankrupt in 2002 & has been repurposed as a YMCA center, other portions serving as a public park & the campus became a community college.

I wish they kept the scenes with andy and tyler it shows how two characters can relate to being separated by their parents and it would have given them more character development.
I know! We totally NEED those little bits of them meeting and talking and starting to be friends so it REALLY means something when Andy is later so determined to protect him from Chucky!

Hopefully Shout Factory will release both Child’s Play 2 (Collector’s Edition) and Child’s Play 3 (Collector’s Edition) on Blu-ray someday with these added deleted scenes and behind the scenes something like “Sorry Jack Chucky’s Back”: The Making Of Child’s Play 2 and “Looks who’s stalking”: The making of Child’s Play 3. That would be nice similar to what they did to Halloween II and Halloween III: (Season Of The Witch).
They really should've kept all of these scenes in the movie! i mean it only would have added a few minutes more to the movie! which barely sits at an hour & a-half as it was released! & the scenes would have added more context to the film! imho!!...

I just don't understand why Brad Dourif and the writers said this movie was their least favorite. This movie was panned by critics as well,because people were upset that the kid playing the original Andy was not in it. If anything people should have been annoyed at Childs play 2,because it was literally almost the exact same thing rehashed. Only Andy was in Foster care instead of with his mom..whoop de doo. At least Childs Play 3 tried some new concepts. Andy was at a military school for youths,which was an interesting twist. Also ten yrs had passed,and he was now a teenager.Which was interesting because we got to see him deal with the typical teenage angst,hormones,friendships,bullys,and even love interests.I don't care what people say,Childs play 3 was great.
I know, right?! Andy is my entire reason for even LIKING the first three entries before Chucky became center stage (I literally threw out those 'of Chucky' discs that came in the set I was gifted) and Justin as him is actually my favorite because he's weathered a storm and is on his own just trying to get through and he's so sweet and relatable not letting any of it show. I'm curious to have seen exactly what he did that was so bad in the years between 2 and this one because honestly he would have just been in tons of different homes ANYWAY because that's how the foster system WORKS, and like DeSilva commented he was quiet because he WAS a foster kid. I'll bet he ACTUALLY acted just like he did in the second one and everyone who knew who he was before they got him judged him...I love that in this one he was officially Nancy Thompson, going from victim who depended on adults to help him to victim who had to learn to protect himself in 1 and 2 (her journey in just the original Nightmare) to teenager on his own who has to become the protector of a kid just like he used to be going THROUGH what he did:) PLUS being a teenager and being bullied by the other teenagers, getting a crush, AND being in a place where I believe he would have gone ANYWAY for school credits and learning important skills even if he didn't actually join the Army:)
I could be wrong, but I swear the TV version I saw back in the 90's had Tyler screaming "a good soldier is always prepared!" to Andy right before he cuts off Chucky's hand in the final fight. Like as a callback to the earlier scene in the bus. I'd like to see these scenes properly restored at some point. Some of them are actually pretty good.

But the reason there wasn't another for a long time was to make the 4th one land on 1998 for the 10th year anniversary of Child's Play 1 and so that the release date correlates perfectly with the actual timeline cause Bride takes place exactly 10 years after Child's play 1.
