Thank you,@@alexpage3413. The river looks like a blast. I'm an old fart, 62, have never whitewater kayaked, but am planning to. I paddle a lot - have all my life - but most all of it flat water.... That's pretty much all there is here in a natural state. My only whitewater boat is an OLD RPM (late 90s) that I picked up used 3 years ago. Even on flat water I've begun to favor it over my solo canoe and touring kayak. Now I need learn to roll. Is that some sort of nose guard on your boat?
@@jeffolsen4983 Awesome to hear, yeah this has to be one of the best rivers in the UK! Good choice on the boat too, it's a fun one to progress in - hope you enjoy stepping up to whitewater in it, and take care out there :)
Most guides suggest these rapids are all 4 assuming medium levels (aside from lower Kisdon which gets a 5), river classification is pretty subjective though.. I'd probably still say it is on the hard end of 4 at these flows.
Looking very meaty.
Nice lines.
Cheers Dave, it's a fun level to catch it at
That was a jaw droppping watch, well done.
Good work not getting swallowed up in some of those stoppers.
