      While I 100% agree with you that they deserve life in prison, I’m guessing the prosecution didn’t go for attempted murder because they couldn’t prove mens rea (criminal intent) to actually unalive the children. As messed up and evil as these women are, in their twisted/disgusting minds, they were trying to “save” the children and not unalive them (even though any sane person would know that would be the obvious outcome)
      It really sucks when morality and legality aren’t aligned 😞

      @@DianaLynnZz yeah, i have a JD and that has crossed my mind. but like, the parts where she says "i will fight until the day that YOU die" (not a typical parent's promise which would be "until the day I die") or whatever - i guess she could have been talking about the "demon" or whatever, but to me, it is just too ambiguous. but yeah, you're probably right. they probably figure better to for sure get them on the abuse charges than go to trial where there's a chance the jury doesn't buy it and they go free.

      "maybe a week" is an assumption. Those first journal entries was more than a week before the kids were found. While I agree that they are monsters and deserve to rot, creating lies based on your own assumptions based on what you're able to see online doesn't help anyone and takes away from the actual story. Fairly confident you weren't there, you didn't examine those children, I'd even venture as far as to say you're not a doctor. You're probably not qualified to determine that they were within a week of their life.

    It blows my mind that Ruby never recognizes that her son might be soiling himself as a direct response to trauma (conscious or unconscious), stress, physical abuse, CSA etc. Instead of looking what could be the root cause she only considers defiance. I pray for these children, their healing and that they never see her again.

      There were stacks of diapers filmed in that desert fortress, I think they were used because the children were unable to go to the bathroom as they were forced to stand for hours in one place and tied up.
      Plus secondly as detailed in the journal used to see how much fluid the children had managed to find.
      It's beyond cruel.
      Just sickening.

    I cannot believe that these journals exist. I’m horrified but also thankful that Ruby was delusional enough to keep a record of her abuse. The fact that this isn’t a story, it’s a real life account of how Ruby abused and tortured her children, is bone chilling. Ruby is the Devil, she is the demon that she claims to have seen in her child’s eyes. She is the pain and the torment that they endured. She is their worst nightmare and she is the reason for all the trauma they will have to work through as they grow. Ruby deserves life in prison. She does not belong in the free world, because this is what she does with freedom.. she makes others (her own children) her prisoner, and that’s unforgivable. “Do you know that I love you?” What an absolute mind f!ck

    My mom is bipolar with episodes of psychosis. She has been psychiatricall hospitalized many times. She always had problems, but it got worse as she got older. There are 6 of us kids, my older siblings had moved out when it got super bad so I was the oldest in the house there's an age gap then I have 3 younger brothers.
    Let me just say, we were like frogs in a boiling pot, we all made excuses for her delusions and it's much clearer looking back than it was in the thick of it so I do feel for the older sisters who were also in the home. That being said, I do wonder what they even knew or what she was telling them because even with that fog, I physically fought and restrained my mother from hurting my brothers. I was 14 the first time I really realized that something was seriously wrong with her, she cried and apologized and I covered for her, but it never got better. She said very similar things to what Ruby was saying about demons and such. Finally it culminated in her attacking me in the middle of the night thinking I was possessed. Thankfully I was 17 and able to fight back, but I will never forget the empty look in her eyes as she started screeching like Smeagol that I was going to kill her because I had restrained her.

    What's even sadder is that Russell wasn't looking for help. He was looking to go to jail/prison. He was asking that neighbor to take him to jail just as he attempted to runaway and take himself to jail.
    That poor boy was lucky enough to wander to a home with people who LOVED a stranger. People who loved a hurt child. They fed the needy and stayed with him.
    Yes, his actions saved him and Eve. I have no doubt! Running away, for whatever reason, was a brave move. I simply find it terrible what saved his and Eve's lives was thoughts he needed to be in jail.

Then JODI is the person who told them to send Chad to the Arizona dessert 12week therapy in the desert. THINK WHAT HE WENT THROUGH. Then Jodi wanted to get Ruby and they open THEIR OWN CAMP and would have unlimited access to ANY LDS CHILD.
      All of this is EVERYTHING Jodi did to her Niece in the early 2000's. If you watch Mormon stories podcast interview her they did EVERY SINGLE BIT OF THIS. Jodi has been doing this since the late 90's!!!! The hair cutting, tape over mouth, sleeping outside, no clothes. KEVIN KNEW RUBY WAS DOCUMENTING ALL THIS. This is recommended by the church "to show where God works in your life". The REAL DETAILED VERSION is still missing. He thought his daughter Sheri took them. That's why he wanted to press charges. However it would be up to a jury- and the rules for convicting someone guilty of something aren’t based off of what seems obvious to us on the outside. (I think she 100% would have killed them both if R didn’t escape and save them.) In trials you have to follow the rules of evidence, which are tricky, so they wouldn’t even know everything we do. I bet the previous ‘no lunch, no bed’ stuff would be prejudicial since it’s a prior act and not directly related them being tortured at Jodi’s, and not even allowed in. The jury would have no idea.
      She could have gotten away with it. But felony child abuse… she got the max charges. If the parole board has any sense and does their jobs, they’ll keep her in there for the max!!

If I were any of those kids I'd not say a word until I knew they were locked up with no chance of acquittal.
      We can't put that on the kids, it would be the ultimate torture and what would it serve? These vile women lost all the things that matter to them - power, money, status - and authorities always take the kinder route for this very reason; better to lose two years off a potential sentence of those are two years in which the kids are healing and can speak without any legal implications. It's much more cruel of us to demand a trial, altho I really do understand it. I'm just satisfying myself with the thought that they're exposed and within their milieu that is far, far worse than any prison. R was a perfect example of what is meant by "turn the other cheek" in the Bible. To turn the other cheek meant if a Roman solider hits one side, offer the other in defiance/strength. Good for him, strong boy

    • @truthhurts2879
      @truthhurts2879 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Actually, Jesus didn't mean to offer the other cheek as a form of defiance, but actually in submission, as violence has no place in His world as it only begets more violence, just as He said if someone were to steal your overcoat, instead of punishing them, offer him the shirt off your back also, and if someone were to steal 30 coins of silver, offer him another 30 more.
      "Turning the other cheek" and offering it to also be slapped is the polar opposite of defiance, but is in actual fact submission to your oppressor, as to react in a similar manner to the oppressor is quite possibly the easiest way out and path of least resistance. Where as it requires far, far more integrity and moral fortitude to be able resist the temptation of hurting those who hurt you in return and is possibly one of the most difficult things you can do. Just like how I want to hurt the Roman soldiers who mercilessly beat Jesus Christ, where as Jesus wouldn't hear of it even though he knew he would die at their own hands. ❤❤❤

      This is a MORMON CULT TENNANT. QUOTE "How else can you SEE where God works in your life, or when Satan strikes at your weakest moments"
      If you listen to Kevin's AUDIO only 2nd interview he says - Ruby was keeping 2 sets. 1 detailed (still missing) & one third person scaled down THAT WILL BECOME SCRIPTURE when Jesus returns for his 140,000 chosen & will be read on Judgement day to others BY JESUS.
      She & Jodi thought THE SAME THING AS LORI VALLOW. They thought they were FEMALE PROPHETS doing God's work ministering to families and casting out deamons of BYU & LDS parishioners.

    • @kelliintexas3575
      @kelliintexas3575 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is NO Scripture because Ruby 100% is trusting EVERYTHING Jodi is saying. She already abused her kids and now she found someone who gave her the greenlight "from God" to take it up a knotch. This is 100% the same as Lori Daybell. Once you understand the core beliefs of Mormonism its SO CLEAR. They believe God has millions of souls waiting in line and they have unlimited kids to give them chances to fulfill their destiny on Earth. The more kids they have the higher your spot in heaven. The Dad can even earn his own heaven over a different solar system. She was willing to kill her children to allow his soul (Russell the one God sent to her) to go back to heaven, and to force the deamon out.
      They talked about Chad not having a bed when he was 12 and sleeping 7 months on a bean bag. They made a video JODI was the professional who told them to do it. Then JODI is the person who told them to send Chad to the Arizona dessert 12week therapy in the desert. THINK WHAT HE WENT THROUGH. Then Jodi wanted to get Ruby and they open THEIR OWN CAMP and do this to all their customers kids. They were given the green light by BYU & THE LDS "Prophets". That little boy fled cause he KNEW he was gonna die if not.
The REAL DETAILED VERSION is still missing. He thought his daughter Sheri took them. That's why he wanted to press charges. I bet 100000000% he knew every bit of what was going on. He didn't contact his kids because they were away being retrained EXACTLY LIKE CHAD WAS IN THE DESERT.
      Why Arizona? Why Lori Vallow in Arizona? BECAUSE THIS IS ALL BASED ON LDS CORE VALUES. They believe Mormons are God's chosen people and that Utah/Arizona is the REAL Israel.its insanity.

    As someone who grew up in the same church that Ruby (and I think Jodi too) follows, a lot of the language that she uses is very familiar to me, especially when she talks about doing things out of love. The amount of times I was told by the adults around me that they did something -that looking back was abuse- "out of love" is honestly disturbing. All the things she says about her kids being "evil", "possessed", and "of the devil" are things things that I grew up hearing about myself and other children. In my experience, parents in the LDS church like to use fear to control their kids, and will say things like "You're evil, you need help", "God sees everything and if you don't behave He'll see it", etc. to get them to listen through fear. Also, I've seen so many parents who force their kids to "fast" as a way to repent from their sins. This behavior is not limited to Ruby, it's everywhere.
    I apologize if I rambled a bit, I just wanted to share my thoughts and experiences. I hope these children get the help they need and are able to heal from the massive amounts of trauma they must have. And, lastly, I know not every Mormon is like this, there are good and bad people in every religion, this is just my experience.

      You are both correct but it's likely a combination of things. There may be purely physical reasons for loss of continence, but this is also an extremely common trauma response in children. Sometimes it's due to regression or going backwards developmentally due to stress, sometimes it's literally the only thing they can control and it's in defiance. Super common in both sexual and physical abuse cases because it discourages the abuser from touching them and requires cleaning which might be the only access to water, alleviate pain or be the only caring touch they receive. It's really situational as to the purpose of the behavior and if it's voluntary or uncontrollable, but it's extremely common in all cases of abuse.

    16:14 that’s hard to believe after hearing her jail call to Kevin, reminding him that adults aren’t going to buy that children can be evil, though she and Kevin know different, and she hopes he doesn’t forget that and how they’ve dealt with the problem in the past. (paraphrasing here). He’s just as involved with that as she was when he was home.
    Also, listening to his first interview (haven’t heard second yet), he seemed more concerned for his wife than anything. He can’t claim ignorance.

These kids can look at this journal and think, “yep, my mom thought I was a demon and tortured me accordingly”. Holy $hit.

      THIS! THIS! THIS! People do NOT understand the LDS church OWNS 4 states at this point. THEY HAVE THE SAME MONEY AS THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX & theirs is TAX FREE. Every Senator, Congressman, investigator, Police, Detective, DA, IN EVERY CRACK of Utah, Arizona, Idaho is 100% LDS CONTROLLED. Now Nevada, Wyoming & Montana is about half controlled. It's insanity. People ASSUME cause they use Jesus' name that they are the same as any Christian. There is a REASON L. RON HUBBARD based Scientology on Mormonism. They have a man named Jesus in their story because when they were founded they were avoiding being burned at the stake. THEY ARE FOUNDED ON OCCULTISM & 100% practice from their own written book. 99% of ALL Mormons have never READ a real Holy Bible. The LDS is fostering this insanity BECAUSE OF THEIR CORE TEACHINGS. LORI VALLOW was not a "one off". They believe they are the TRUE ISREALITES & Utah/Arizona is ISRAEL. 🫣

    • @kelliintexas3575
      @kelliintexas3575 7 หลายเดือนก่อน
