somtimes you have to make the first step i did
one of my favorite bible verse.This verse was given to me in a dream when i was a young lady struggling some 30 years ago.I got out of bed that very night searched for a bible and read it and prayed to God and my life took a turn for the better.If l should wake up in the morning and there is no food i don't have to worry all i have to do is just ask my father to provide.Over the years i have witnessed the power of prayer by fervently asking God.

KNOCK knock. father I ask to see people through your eyes , to love my neighbour more , and to draw near to you . Fill me with the holy sprit so I'm able to share your wisdom and love , to be a example , help me stay or lead me back to the narrow road. Farther i pray this in your mighty Son name Jesus Christ who you sent as a example of you love . Amen
I graduate from rehab for the second time tomorrow. When you graduate you get to put up a plaque and put a little quote on it. I chose simply Matthew 7:7. I will quote it aloud for sure.

Knocking, seeking, asking
When I first practiced reiki before I began the first session I heard someone say 7...it was angelic and very audible I thought it was the person on the table...I feel what's going on. I felt here numb hand from a stroke. It scared me...now I know sometimes God gives me a glimpse. He asked me to trust my intuition and continue working through him.

for me the 7 also is the six days of creation and the 7th day of rest, but in rest we can reflect and communicate and ask God now that it is a sacred day and also David was the six-pointed star that open and closest, to me is the heart because in John it states God is LOVE

Do you not know that Jesus is addressing Israel under the Law of Moses covenant God made with Israel alone? Jesus is addressing the body of Christ through his disciples in the Epistles, especially his DOCTRINES to us, being under grace- not law- through Paul. In 1st John 5: 14 that we are to ask according to God's will.
The believer is born of the heavenly Adam per 1Corinthians 15:44ff, given the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, etc. In Matthew 7 Jesus also says many who say Lord Lord will not "ENTER" the kingdom, Israel was under the Mosiac law for their righteousness according to Deuteronomy 6:25, the believer- under an entirely different covenant and all that ramifies therein- is under "GRACE" and has been "...RESCUED US FROM THE AUTHORITY OF DARKNESS AND TRANSFERRED [us] INTO THE KINGDOM OF HIS BELOVED SON" the Father has done this according to Paul.

The gospels are ACCOUNTS OF CHRIST SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSING ISRAEL UNDER THE LAWS OF MOSES AND JESUS IS ALSO UNDER THOSE SAME LAWS. After Christ is rejected, he is murdered by men/sacrificed by God and is buried and raised on the 3rd day according to the scriptures, he ascends and sends the Holy Spirit and begins taking a bride/consort, a HEAVENLY PEOPLE from the command of God that all people everywhere (MANKIND) repent and turn to Him and believe the gospel of God about Jesus the ANOINTED ONE- not the gospel of the kingdom, which was near for Israel the nation in the gospels.
We are already in the kingdom as believers IN CHRIST (Spiritually while waiting for the adoption of our bodies), heavenly citizenship, seated in the heavenlies with Christ, works that have been created for us to walk in, we can go directly before God's throne as priests, asking according to his will, knowing his will by being transformed by the renewing of our minds, which are to be on things above, etc. see the Epistles of Paul for these above claims specifically under grace not law. That what matthew 7:7-12 means?
I have an issue: what if i pray for something like money? What if i love money and want more of it? Just pray for more and I'll receive it? Someone i work with presented this scenario and i knew what needed to be said but i couldn't find the right verse that goes along with this. Does anyone know what to say to someone who thinks they can just pray everything away? People die of disease and hunger all the time. I don't want to just say pray because something is missing.
I’d start off with 1Timothy 6:10.
As David shared, it’s not prayer alone, but also faith. Good things don’t always come to believers, but it all works together for our good, even when we don’t understand (Romans 8:28) because His plans for us are for good and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11). There are many models for us in the Bible that show us that in the midst of the struggles, injustices and tribulations there is only one place to go, and that’s before God. He can give us wisdom and peace, but we must seek it out almost like one who is parched in the desert seeks water. God may not change our circumstances, but He will mold us in the midst of it so we are not overcome by it. However, if we seek more the gifts than the Gifter, than I’m not sure if we had a real encounter with God and I would pray we would experience that. Hope this helped! No. God knows your heart when you pray. He also knows what you need and do not need. If your motive is greed and love of money which is the root of all evil you will not receive.
God promise that he will supply our needs.If we come to him in faith he will come through for us.Years ago my infant daughter was sick so i took her to the doctor.I was there with her from Sunday afternoon until Monday morning when i was given permission to take her home.On reaching home she got worse by Monday evening and i said i am not going back to the hospital.I reached out to God with everything i had in me.After praying for her my oldest child who was in the room with me said Mommy look at the baby.See her face is fulling up .I watched in awe as her sucken eyes and bony face filled up in minutes to look normal again.In less than an hour she said mommy i am hungry and started eating again.That was the end of that sickness.There is power in faithfully praying.

So, is Matthew 7:7 the most encouraging Bible verse? Definitely not, it's the most disappointing. It would be easier if this exact verse wasn't in the Bible. Because now you have to ask yourself, was this verse added by people or is it a lie? And if it's a lie, isn't the rest true at all?
It's not a lie you just have not seen it yet. God won't lie Truth hidden in plain sight.

Knock on a metaphorical door and it (the opportunity/request) shall be opened onto you. I can’t lie, I would’ve thought Matthew 7:7 would be one of the least difficult to understand of all the verses in the Bible.
