FYI, I have a Jetboil plastic fuel canister stand, very similar to the green one in this video, but just small enough that it fits perfectly in the Petrel pot. I put the folded canister stand in the bottom of the pot, upside down fuel canister next (the valve & cover nestle into the round opening in the center of the stand), then the stove + backup mini Bic lighter in the stove bag, and last a folded bandana, lid, latch, done. My collapsible cup and long handled spoon (rolled in a plastic bag for cleanliness) drop next to the pot in the roomy mesh bag the petrel pot comes with... and there you go, complete kitchen in one bag, lightweight and compact. There enough room left in the bag that I think my insulated meal warming pouch will go in there too. Gotta try that out next weekend.

Thanks for coming along Marc, I tell you what it sure is a smooth little cook kit. Of course, it has its limits, but that's how kids go. I appreciate you watching and commenting . See you in the next one.

The handkerchief in the pot is a great idea, because you could use it to filter out large particles from a water source in times of an emergency.

Thanks. I've found very precious info. The new Green Peak II is not compatible with petrel, it is a shame cause it has both pressure regulation and piezo.

Fire Maple has a canister holder for the Petrel pot. I was looking for a side-by-side comparison between the GreenPeak and the Polaris stoves using the Petrel pot to see their speed to heat water and fuel efficiency as they are two Fire Maple stove options for the Petrel pot (along with the lightweight Hornet). Maybe that could be the subject of another video.

Sure thing. I'd love to do a video on them.

Good idea, I would be interested in that comparison also since I have both the GreenPeak and Polaris stoves. The GreenPeak has an igniter and the Polaris doesn’t but the Polaris is regulated and the GreenPeak isn’t. I normally use the GreenPeak with the Petrel pot because the lack of a regulator doesn’t seem to matter in my mild climate and I like having an igniter.
