RIP Scott weiland. That solo album was tremendous. I was always baffled at the label not putting anything into it, promotion-wise. I mean that record is stacked with tasty treats!
ohh que joya este video, del primer album solista de Scott Weiland, un album completamente despreciado que tiene cosas fantasticas. Gran aporte, Saludos.
The whole part from 1:30 is really sad “it wears me down, I’ll be your clown” He actually looks so worn out and at 1:48 that look in his eyes is depressing to see. Looks so tortured and a hostage to his own habits
oh amen so stoned on smack i wonder how they played it this is so mega rare from a vhs recording but than k god for the historians like me who did this with sympathy to the changing digital world. whomever posted this i have written about 3 posts but wow. i love this rock n roll roxy/bowie/beatles love, william "the joker" glasscock
Cheers Andy, Scott's Avant'e Garde musical journey clearly shows his eclectic style and tastes. He was much more than a rock singer and front man extrordinaire. He was and always will be an inspirational artist who produced a rich, diverse catalogue of interesting ideas and imagery with sounds to match.
Johnny Carson you're absolutely right, Johnny Carson. This will surely get me some negative feedback, but even though I loved STP and saw them in their prime twice; once during the Purple tour, & again during Tiny Music SFTVG @ Desert Sky Pavilion in Phoenix, I always felt like the band, powerful as they were, kind of held Scott back. This truth was further validated when I saw him touring in support of 12-bar blues, with Daniel F-ing Lanois on guitar! Scott just killed it. They played the entire album, in order, in its entirety! He could've easily busted out an STP hit to gain the audience's love, but he didn't. He had that small crowd in a trance. As you said, frontman extrordinare, indeed. And I say this as someone who practically worships Dean & especially Robert DeLeo (and Kretz is no slouch!). Cheers to you!
high on the smack but this is why twelve bar blues ruled peter distafano and martyn lenoble were really out this is shambollic in quality versus the album but great in all circumstances so high but blows your mind. love, william "the joker" glasscock
Easily Scott at his Cracked Actor/Bowie level of low here physically. Much like Bowie at the time the performance is surreal. As for the song, I see it as a tip of the hat (a very flashy one at that) to I Want You (She's So Heavy). That waltz time when blended with Rock n Roll always gets me, "Junkie Swagger"
+ASocialCJ Yes, SHES SO HEAVY.... He is not only channeling Bowie, but vibing heavily in a Tom Waits trance.... The band is like a circus freak show... Dig this...

Daniel Lanois is playing in this performance and he is one of the greatest musicians and producers and does do drugs so im sure he played a big part in the show ans sound
I miss him, he was like a supernatural here...

He thought it wasn’t accessible enough! I say it’s perfect
Mike Wilson
I had tickets in San Diego.
Greatness from another time in a galaxy far far away..
Rest easy brother.
MMM, gotta love that outfit ;) Beautiful voice
Talent: singing in tune and tempo in spite of being doped as hell, unlike Winehouse.
how come he rarely plays this song its freaking amazing
I would love to see/get this in a better quality!

Berlin cabaret with a Beatles "She's so heavy" soundtrack. I like it....
Best way I've ever heard this sound described.

+MetalheadYA Its a bit Lady Grinning Soul, a bit She's So Heavy and a bit Vaudeville. Comes out sounding incredible in my opinion.
@Mzzy1979 ... it is included on "Great expectations" soundtrack !
This must be very rare.
Oh hey this is my video taken from an old VHS tape which I guess I need to dig out and see if there's any other old stuff on.
+Loungefly37 Sure thats not Tom Waits singin?...haha

@Mzzy1979 Scott Weiland. 12 bar blues. A very strange record. Well recorded. but odd for sure
Some dig their holes so deep the only thing left to do is go inside and lay down. I say he perfect what he did and is right where he need to be!
Nuns on the strings
Heroin 👍🏻
the whole band is into this i believe that is scott weiland's brother love, william "the joker"
Sounds and looks like a heroin high. Arty and tragic at the same time.
is that Josh Hommes playing bass??
Martin LeNoble
@Mzzy1979 buy the record
weird crowd he's rollin with here
Sound Is Lovv There are nuns playing the violin. Are you sure the problem is with the crowd?

@Loungefly37 only a matter of time before youtube yanks it again, I'm sure. Still, this is outright stolen footage for sure.
is this the Del Monte Speakeasy?
Kids......Don't do drugs.
Did he have white makeup on?
No. Lol.
back before scott weiland sucked.
we all suck in our lives, sometimes...
Definitely lip-synced. Who cares, what other rock god would dare write a waltz?
+zstevens7 What video did you watch? He's most definitely NOT lip-syncing. Why would he?
+PinappleDave2000 Sorry, you're right. I was thinking of a different video. My bad!
+zstevens7 Your bad indeed. Scott sang pretty much every live and sounded great.
lip-synced my ass pal.
