From the popular and long-standing “Civilization” video game franchise, Sogne di Volare is the stirring and popular theme from Civilization VI. This powerful adaptation is taken directly from the original version and is compatible with the composer's own arrangement for choir. Whether performed with band alone or with the addition of voices, this is a stunningly beautiful concert work portryaing a sense of conquest and wonder.

This is a beautiful arrangement of an amazing song, thank you for blessing my ears Matt. Wish I was in a band that was able to play this masterpiece.
I'm playing this this year with my band, sounds great already. I can't wait to perform it.
I’m playing this for a band (as a flute player) AND MY FINGERS CANT MOVE THIS FAST 😭
omg same but im clarinet 1 so its practically the same 🥲🥲🥲
I hope you figured this out, but practice with a limping rhythm (taa-ti, taa-ti, taa-ti, etc) then swap it (ti-taa, ti-taa, ti-taa, etc.). You're purposefully messing with the rhythm, but you're training your muscles to mark those movements from note to note. Then, when you can do that rhythm, smooth it out to the written rhythm.
They need to put the woodwinds on front ensemble / percussion
This piece is so damn epic. Would absolutely love to play it. Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to get the high trumpets at the end in tune with an amateur orchestra.
Played this in a honor band recently. Learned it in 3 days. A bunch of High Schoolers.
@@curiousbean761 it takes time
Yeah dude if you have an oboe they would have a nightmare
Oboe player btw
@@thatonetrombonist9385 Not to worry it's gone thanks to practice
@@thatonetrombonist9385 I can't see the Choir part. They probably forgot to add it to the sheet music.
Such an awesome piece, alto part is nice. Playing this for concert this week
Once you've had a taste of flight, you will walk the earth with your face turned skyward, for you have been there once and long to return once more.
beautiful comment
@@czechistan_zindabad It´s actually a quote from the game. On discovering a new technology, one of two quotes is displayed. For Flight, it´s either this quote, by Leonardo Da Vinci, I think, or another, really funny one by Chuck Jeager: "If you can walk away from a landing, it has been a good one. If you can fly the next day, it´s an outstanding one."
@@derchonepernhart2597 its also the lyrics from the song lol
i am fond of pigs
Love this piece but man the flute part
ik the flute part is awesome to play
My school band is playing this and OH MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!! It is such an amazing piece to play!
Once you have taken flight.
You will decide...
*TO GLORY*
Hal Leonard Concert Band Another awsome Choir, & Band arrangement.
This is the best song in the world and I love playing it in band. Unfortunately, I play the tenor sax part, so I have straight 8th notes for a while. But, it's worth it!
Tenor sax is a sweet spot, it sits perfectly in the middle chilling sometimes with low brass or with high woodwinds. Just sad that it's not used more in symphonic orchestras
I have the awesome opportunity to play this song with my highschool band (im in 6th grade :p) on june 3rd with all of our choirs. Im super excited to play with them, and having an actual song to refrence to with all of the parts helps. I get to play flute 2 and its nice to reas your sheet music and listen to the full song with all of the parts at the same time. I still can believe this was made for a video game though. Its sounds so cool!!!!!
Oh. Hi me. We lowkey kinda sucked but whatever, we were in 6th grade lol
my absolute favourite :)
SID MEIER’S CIVILIZATION GANG
We are doing this piece in my band, It's so much fun :)
Soooo much work for the Clairnets
if you are with a couple you can alternate... I'm the only clarinet in the band where I play.
I looked at the score for this in person, played it with a reading clinic. There are a lot of notes for sure, but the clarinet part is fairly straightforward with easy patterns for most of it.
Gotta love that viola part eh
@@brettjacobson4600 How are you tonguing it fast for that long?
@@lifebeautiful6389 As hard as the line sounds for the clarinets, each part only plays one beat of triplets to the next downbeat, then the other part takes the next beat, so you play one beat plus 8th note down beat then rest a beat, then do it again. So it sounds constant but its not constant for each player.
Very Nice Song
The trumpet council approved this piece
congrats! absolutely perfect
would love to play this with my school concert band, except the price is so expensive for the music
This sounds like the Industrial theme era of The republic of Earth or Earth Empire whatever the government is, when our world united as one and meet alien civilizations. The atomic would be the original that include the choirs.
Probably if the great war was actually the war that ended all war, people had knocked in senses that we need to look upon the infinite starry skies.
Amazing music, awesome trumpet part
Wish I played trumpet and not flute.... for this piece at least
Well Done, very nice song 😀
It's not a doing it's a piece!!!
Hi, what program do you use to create this music sheets?
you can try musescore ;)
Sibelius is good, but expensive

FOR THE EMPEROR!!
Singing this in a choral concert-trying to see where the bass singers’ line is ;-)
Anyone else hear the Finlandia influence??
Biiig time
lot of john williams influence too
The guy who arranged this is clearly not a horn player
the original is quite better but i think with more instruments this version would better too

I don't see the choir part anywhere on the score.
it’s an arrangement for wind ensemble so no choir part
@@brokencablemusic I mean this is playable with Choir & Band but they should've added the SSATBB part to it.
