    I would think a Sporty would be easier to wheelie than a Dyna because of the shorter wheel base and a lighter bike overall.

    great take on the Harley wheelie game. I been working on my 18 fat bob and man it is a beast and does NOT like to come up... sort of beating the bike up because of my level... just really hard to get consistent pull and lift. love the ride of it though. I like the 1200 platform for a wheelie bike though...
    tks

      Get rid of the FatBob front end and go with a super glide front end. It'll make all the difference in the world.

    Shorter, lighter, fork parts readily available. No sump mods needed! Far less expensive to buy and build. 883 can be a better option over 1200, lower geared and often found with super low miles cheap! The 1200 costs more and does not have much more power. 883 with a performance big bore kit is the way to go.

    • @JIMBOBALOU
      @JIMBOBALOU 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    S&S makes 2 Hooligan kits Jon. They make a 883cc to 1200cc with 9.6:1 and a 1200cc to 1250 (a 10.5:1 with forged flat top pistons and a 11.2:1 with 5.5cc pop up dome pistons) but unfortunately they don't make a 1250 for the 883 because the 1250 requires 1200 heads for the S&S kit. I have the 1250 Hooligan on my 2018 Forty Eight with Feuling Reaper 505/515 cams, Feuling HP+ lifters, Feuling Endurance valve springs, Hammer Performance solid pushrods, Buell bronze oil pump gear, TBR gen 2 stainless 2-1, S&S teardrop air cleaner, Vance and Hines FP3 tuner, Screamin Eagle plugs and plug wires and a Dynatek EFI ignition coil, along with many suspension (13 inch progressive 490 shocks and adjustable monotube cartridge forks kit with a Daytona steeringdamper, brakes (xr1200 master cylinder, braided lines, radial 4 piston Tokico caliper, Brembo pads, Brembo floating rotors front and rear (waiting on an aluminum swing arm with a 4 piston Brembo caliper and a matching caliper to replace the Tokico in front) and body/aesthetic upgrades. I did carbon fiber side panels and front fender (waiting on a rear fender but I think I got ripped on that) TMF chain conversion, seat, bars, gauges (fuel gauge, tach, oil temp and level lcd dipstick) added gloss black HD chopped cam cover, primary cover, derby cover, lower rocker boxes and flat black HD upper rockers with a Feuling points cover, LED lights and entirely too much money but it has been an absolute blast transforming this bike. The bike is very similar to this bike. I have a video of it recently that is relatively close to how it looks now. I have added a few small things like a sprocket cover, chain slider and some other do dads since then haha. That being said, it is an incredibly fun bike to ride!

    • @jonnymac8925
      @jonnymac8925 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RandyNachoManSandwich the only Harleys that have stock Brembos are the Touring models and they are axial, not radial, made for Harley, and they aren't that great. The only Harleys with radial Brembo calipers are the sportster S, the Pan Am, Livewire. Axial brakes auck compared to radial brakes and the Harley Touring Brembos, are again, axial. I did go with significantly larger rotors, from 11.5 to 13 inch. The stock calipers on my bike were not Brembos and not all Brembo calipers are created equally.
