These are some serious nifty speakers with both 3.5mm connection and Bluetooth too.

The highlights of the SoundSticks include:
Dual connectivity - you can listen to both a 3.5mm source and Bluetooth at the same time. So, for example, I had them plugged into my PC and playing games while also being connected to Bluetooth on my phone where I could play music, TH-cam videos and more.
A really nifty design that is both see-through and looks like glass. These are also high-quality and boast an impressive sound. Also ridiculously loud considering the size.
Easy touch controls on the satellite makes it simple to adjust volume.
The downside is they look a little phallic.

The satellite speaker with the sound controls goes on the right, not the left. The ring on the base of each satellite is supposed to be folded backward behind the speaker (out from under the speaker) so the speaker angle can be adjusted toward your ear.
I don’t think that’s correct. Every picture/ display shows the rings directly beneath the speakers

@@robertburrowes9893 even the box pictured at the start of the video shows the cock rings folded behind the speaker shaft, perhaps it made some people wince.

@@TheProvokedPrawn I've been toying with the idea of buying a Soundbar for movies instead of using Sounsticks 2, do you think it's worth it cause they still sound great to me?
you're supposed to swivel the stand rings backward, so you can angle the speakers back a bit on your desk. They were dirty because you had the bottoms facing up.
Just bought some and wondering if there would be a away to hook them up to a record player? Maybe through the 3.5?
Hard to tell from video - does the sub still have the pretty blue light like the original? Would you know where to get replacement sticks? I have the sub but through the years the sticks have been dropped a few too many times.

I love harman/kardon. Glad you like them. I am not the biggest fan for the soundstick (I am into BDS, HK980, HKTS, AUra etc. stuff) but I can appreciate the design and achievment of this set - just probably not going into my collection this.

I just found a set of these in a box at somebody's curb for trash. Perfectly intact, sound great. I just can't believe the things some people throw away.

Seeing as I already had the best speakers in the universe, a pair of Radio Shack ones the size of mini-fridges each, which I bought on layaway right after graduating high school in 1992, have moved a thousand times and sat in hot and cold storage units (and pawn shops) numerous times, but still sound so incredible you'd think the music or speaking is happening live in the room ....breath ..... I decided to give this little space-age set to my friend. And he seemed to want it, but to this day he hasn't gotten around to setting it up!!!

Only missing feature for this HK speakers is... etched speaker drivers on the back of them... I wouldn't mind the price if they had some designs on the back of the speakers or an option at least for buyers to have unique/custom speaker designs instead of blanks.

Nice....little ditty at the end....I have the original Apple version of these and the optional subwoofer on my G4 that is now a photoviewer library in my study...still work perfectly and have not yellowed sadly like the keyboard, where did you get your little I think Pacman toy from by the way pleae, thanks....? I was disappointed that they did not release a Led wash effect with this version would have been a nice add.

Anyone have an opinion on leaving the harmon kardon soundsticks on 24/7? even when not playing music. this would be to avoid the hassale of bending over and turning them on/off everytime i use them.
Mine has been left on 24/7 since I bought them 2 years ago. No issue.
have you had a problem with the popping sound they make when you turn off your computer? people are saying the popping sound is bad for them and can cause serious damage. after learning that, i have been unplugging them BEFORE turning off my computer to avoid the popping

Ha! I found a set of soundsticks 2 while trifting for 7 euros. PSU was missing, but I got a suitable one for 2 euro's and converted it so now I have this glorious design and sound for less than a tenner!
There is no mids to balance out the full range sound

I am sure its in the instructions, but I never read them anyway.
It’s on by default, you can't turn Bluetooth off. It's discoverable by anybody around and can be paired without pressing anything… I do not recommend these if you have neighbors.

Hi, I enjoyed the video. I'm sorry to ask you, but I can't find a lot of info on the Bluetooth type that these speakers use.
I'm really curious if these use the BT low latency technology. So that when you watch a movie, the audio actually matches up with the characters lips. I've seen other speakers at this price point not implement this tech, which just kills the usability for me.
Sorry to bother you, I did look it up, and I don't see that the tech is supported, but that doesn't 100% mean that it isn't, because these days so many manufacturers skimp on writing full product details.

15 years of computer generated bliss. Best to put the subwoofer on the floor with a rug underneath or else you get vibration. The on/off switch is on the sub but I have it plugged into its own little surge protector that I have on my computer table so I can turn the speakers off by clicking the surge protector off. You just wouldn't think this speaker set up from Mars could sound so good but it does.

Have you seen how much these cost now? These are great PC speakers but the housing is glued together and it comes lose after a few years. You can re-glue it and get many more years use from these.
I need help! Mines stopped working and no one where I'm at never seen something like this so they can't fix it 😭😭😭 Harman Kardon company is no help in solving the issue it's having.
go to the little volume controls that are on only one of the sound sticks, these are located on each side of the open hole at the lowest spot right below the 4 speaker openings. These are silver.
On the left this is the symbol on the control “_”. the right side has this symbol ‘+”. As you are playing some kind of audio, hold the right button. this turns up the volume on the speakers. Mine was turned all the way down before I ever noticed the controls, I called Harmon kardon and no one could help me. I ordered a new set and they arrived and I hooked them up and loved them. I had my old set sitting near my door and a friend asked what I was doing with them. I told him I was throwing them out because they stopped working. He offered me $50. I tried to tell him they were not worth it. He insisted that they were. We hooked them up and just as I told him they were silent. Then like a magician, he reached over and pressed the silver control on the right side and the volume started rising up . They were fine. check your volume control.

I really thought the speakers would do some light show with electric waves going up and down or side to side in that dome. A bit disappointed. Why would i pay $280 for a dome of glass/plastic that does not even light up.

The 4 looks ugly, the 3 looks better, only things I hate are the touch controls and the wireless satellites.
A big disappointment. I bought them because I always liked them, the Harman / Kardon company speaks for itself. Unfortunately, the bass is boxy and wheezing. The satellites are prickly in the ears. My old Creative P380 sound much better.

It's royalty free, not exactly good quality shit when you're trying to avoid a copyright strike. That being said, I actually like it. Love the Drunken Sailor song, I like classical music, and I like colonial music. This ticks both of those boxes.

@@TheProvokedPrawn It was. Great video, great review, and saved me $200 when pricing the EvoDesk. They have an option to have these added with the package. I was seriously excited when I thought they were glass. Less so when I saw that they were plastic.
Plastic see-through speakers aren't as interesting as glass speakers.
I recommend an inexpensive, very loud speaker I've had for a year now. He still works great. Recommend dindinmodern
