Yale rectorate has the highest density of based paths. So cool that the literal sun god option is considered meh.
Based zombie Emperor is the better path.
It's somewhat dated and limited - your cores are limited to just Herzland, there's plenty of filler foci, from what I've seen fate of Grover isn't even mentioned

Yeah they tend to be a little dated, so is most of griffonia. They prywhen tree is practically older than even the Aquila update and nova griffonia has always been same shit different day. And sadly they will never, ever bring back the communist equestria tree
@@lamb5440 Prywhen has been unchanged since Griffonia got added in 1.0, while Nova Griffonia had like two updates - first the update for coup paths, which got dated since then and the revamp of democracy path, which is... alright in design, but in practice it just gives you alliances with two countries with very weak FTs and one without even that
If you're willing to play the same country again, the other project of raising the Dead brings back Grover II, the emperor who pretty much conquered the entire continent. Pretty much imagine if some school in Germany just resurrected Charlemagne. The path is insanely fun and lets you go about and conquer the entire continent with massive bonuses. Plus the Half-Skeleton portrait of the emperor is amazing.

I Personally perfer the other Yale Branch in the facist tree, where you ressurect one of the ancient emperors, because you get claims and cores over the entire continent for free, but the holy leader is fun too.

@@YurieSnowie well, almost entire continent. the path leads to conquer the new and old area of the empire (which is from the north, until the south of the left side of griffonian continent), then conquering the ponies federation on the right side, before conquering/reclaiming nova griffonia on the equestrian continent.

Future playthrough suggestions : Chiropterra (secretive slave-raiding high technology ultra devout to Nightmare Moon country.) Star Father (quite specific to achieve but the largest tree in the game, requires specific actions through 3 civil wars in Colthaginian Republic but includes a choose your own adventure style system, alchemy system and lots of conquering/focuses/events) or Libertalia (ultra ancap trading port becomes an entire subcontinental region.) Hippogriffian Communist path would also be a good change from supremacist and has lots of events.

oh, never played those 3 path before. what country does those 3 starts as? the communist path already done (and quite fun to play with) but then again, the griffon continent is best to play with communist and supremacist path imo), sad they still not re-implement back the communist path for equestria
@@ethanbell4724 The dread league is widely considered terrible by the community. Its theme is cool but it is very poorly implemented. A much better alternative to playing an army of the undead would be to play Barrad and support Silver Star, he turns into the Lich King and makes an army of the undead.

Actually, they did! A few of the events, and I think the harmonic party, are theater based, if memory serves.

Im so happy you played this mod again, most TH-camrs do one and never come back. If you ever consider another go, Hippogriffia is a newer country with a lot of content, but of course there are dozens and dozens of interesting countries to play, usually newer ones have more content tho, like the 4 suggested nations in Zebrica as that came out a few months ago

Also, I wish I knew how to mod Hoi4, because I always wanted to make a submod for this about a sci-fi humanity hopping into the dimension and attempting to take control. It would be like a weird mix of Avatar and the Enclave Reborn mod for OWB.
I like how twice now a TH-camr who went down the Yale route, saw the choice between God or Necromancy and picked God.
It's also a bit unfortunate, as the God route is way less well written and have as much depth as the one you get with Grover II.
With Grover you basically get cores on almost the entire continent...

Yale is a fun country right in the middle of a really fun region indeed.
If you want to see some of the freshest content in the mod, the north of Zebrica is what you're looking for, Chiropterra and Hippogriffia in particular seem really well liked.
As EaW player for years, ill spam link to this video to all my friends, so you will do at least 5 more episodes about this mod
Brony mods are so detailed and well made for a few reasons:
1 They use already established lore from both series and fanfics (plus some headcanons)
2 Brony fandom have many great artists, editors adn so on.
3 and the most important thing: they are made with love :3

As an Equestria at War fan, I have to ask you to play County of Greifwald. The supremacy path is extremely fun but you have to be able to bash a major as a minor. Equestria and New Mareland also have absurd amounts of paths which can't be seen on the focus tree.
PLEASE do Barrad Magocracy next it's one of the truly wacky nations in this mod, featuring paths with mind nukes, a Warhammer 40k titan, undead legions, demon summoning and more

This mod is quite on cannon with the show, Griffon empire does collapse and them being behind in technology at the beggining is also seen in the series

I heavily recommend playing the Star Father's path, it is the single most evil path in this mod.
Hey, I gotta say this, if you wanna play actual humans, there's a mod called Escalation 84 (a submod for Equestria at war) that adds the EU, the Soviets and the USA in the game, basically they nuke our earth and fled through portals and ended up here (that's simplified but you get the point) some more nations are gonna be added later, but it's overall pretty well made, you should at least check up the steam page !

I'm way too occupied with other grand mods to give this pony realm a go but seeing some of the paths in this format is so entertaining and interesting.
Huh, interesting that the Griffons now have a literal God leading them, meanwhile Equestria has 2, and they don't do anything but leave it up to Twilight and her friends all in order for them to retire and prop up Twilight as their new God-Princess.
I found you on a Hearts of Iron 4 play about a year ago. Never played it, but your knowledge of the world and the podcast keep me interested in between your Hoi plays. Now I wanna see more of the HOI MLP mod! Keep up the great videos in the new year!
If you want a huge reserve of hoi4 MLP videos, I highly recommend the TH-camr "DShakey". He has done like 20+ campaigns in the mod and showcases a lot of the unique content.
(I have no relation/connection to him or his channel, but he's a huge advocate of the mod)
If you circle back to the Yale Rectorate again, try the undead path. It sounds like it could be fun.
I went to a public university in South Florida, so it wasn't as much looking down on people who lived there (most of the student body is/was local) as much as it was face palming at everything about the state.

Dread League attacks but the Arcturian Order defeats them
Yessss embrace the mod and play many of the many different focus trees in the tons of different countries!
One nation you should check out is Lake City and look at the prince’s path.

I just got here, but I wanted to ask, are you gonna just keep skipping the story text? Because they really contextualize whats going on in the game and are really cool. You can even cut ahead once you're done reading them if you're concerned about saving time in the video. I would hate to see the game's writing go to waste on jumping around, but if you do still skip it, fair enough. That said, you do seem to skim and understand the gist of what's being said, so perhaps you ARE reading them and I'm just not picking up on that lol.
EDIT: You seem to do that already for certain events, so yeah, that's good!
I like seeing blind playthroughs of the game anyhow, so keep up the good work! I will recommend one thing though; the super event submod. The super events really add a sense of weight and epicness to the most important events in this mod, and this mod feels so much more complete with that mod installed.

I went to a private engineering college in rural midwest. There were 3 groups of people in town: The college kids/staff, the Townies, and the Lakers. College kids got on well with the Townies, who lived in the town all year round, but we both, townies and College kids, hated the Lakers. They were rich people who looked down their noses at the poor midwestern townies and were super judgemental about the college kids.
Maybe the existence of the Lakers prevented us from conflict with the Townies like you seemed to have experienced.
I recommend playing as tobuck into zarrantia, long story short the first year of the game you play as the president in the biggest money laundering scheme ever, then you give the country to zarrantia and I won't spoil anymore
I won't be able to sleep tonight because of voices and pictures in my head, byt this channel is worth it and that had always been this way
Edit 2/5th the way in: a nation that has to balance relations politically for some years before it can become powerful in tech but not too capable of big long wars is the most creative thing I've seen in hoi4 modding

You should try the Escalation 84’ Submod for EAW. Brings humans into the world and it can get quite chaotic
Definitely a like from me! Can't wait to see more of this, though I'd recommend against any of the southern Zebrica nations. They're not finished and generally only have default focus trees as a placeholder.
I went to a very isolated college as well and we jokingly referred to our friends who were born and raised in the town as townies... granted that was out of jealousy because their parents were amazing cooks and moving out of the dorms (when they lived in them) was very easy for them
Seeing you try this makes me want to throw Old World Blues or The Great War out there for suggestions to try out

You should run the super events mod for this mod. Adds much more flavour to it. And play the either one of the river coalition countries or the barrad or mareland with maresoc in it. Super events in my imo, even though small, enchance the gameplay for me

I would like to see you try going down the Lord Protector's path given how difficult it is I think it would be a fun challenge (you play as the main Grifonnian Empire nation and need to make a few decisions to lead a coup)
Having played this mod after you shown it. It's legit a good mod. Lil buggy and a pain in the ass about supply in my first run but still rather nice.
I honestly find it less bugged out than Kasierredux or other overhaul mods, as for supplies you either love it or hate it, I like it because it punishes larger factions when pushing into more underdeveloped regions, giving minors a bigger advantage when controlling supply hubs

Hey stakuyi I don't know if you are taking any suggestions but there is an interesting nation in griffonia called the dread league that is just vampires and zombies. It's a bit harder because the nation next to it has a focus they run down that will destroy you if you don't get it first but it's pretty fun using undead magic.
This was oddly entertaining, good stuff.
