It's a very beautiful dried flower! I also have some dried flowers in my room. It is very beautiful and healed every day. It was a very nice video! I will come to play again. With love from Japan :)
One way to avoid fading is to keep the pressed flowers away from sunlight. The pigments will naturally fade as the plant dries, so we suggest selecting a vibrant bloom.
I have read that several sealant types have uv the uv protection to help keep the flowers from fading. They also mean that moisture wouldn't be able to get at the flower once dried. If you look up sealing pressed flowers you can find comparisons on types, their advantages and disadvantages.
Does the Parchment paper have to be a certain kind? I’m looking online and all I’m seeing is “pre-cut nonstick full parchment paper for baking, grilling, frying steaming” Is this the same parchment paper you’re using? Or is there a different kind I need to buy? Im going with the ironing style for my flowers
i love to make journal. so i use dry flower often.but after some while days this dry flower are rotten. can you tell me please, how can i avoide that problem
If you are looking to add a whole pressed flower to homemade paper, we think that would work! You would prepare the paper as you normally would, lightly set it into the paper, and let everything dry. We have not tried this before - so if you do, we'd love to hear how it goes for you!
@@meijergardens yes I had to be very careful inserting the flowers in the pulp without ruining the paper so it wouldn't have holes. It really helps placing them in the water right before taking the filter out with both pulp and flowers in it. Remember no to use big ones since it represents more weight. Thank you for your help
Wonderful video. Thank you. I am excited to begin craftibg with these. If i were to iron them lets say twice a day will that speed up the process even more?
They are different but I believe both will do the job because it’s mostly about protecting the flower from its surrounding during the pressing/drying stage
@@allialli4406 of course!! I used parchment paper myself to press my best friends wedding flowers and I will be checking on them soon and can give an update hopefully!
I have dried a few flower using pressed book method.. all of them have dried but why when I put it on resin it turn yellow and green? Someone please help me 😭😭😭
I found a video about it.. Before putting your dried flowers, use clear paint/spray paint or clear varnish to seal it so the colors won't spread on your resin

But how do you keep the colors or enhance them after? Sometimes they fade and I haven't found any paints or dyes that work... Thank you!

Is the parchment paper the one you use in the oven? And can I put a very thin layer of cotton in between iron and paper?

Can I keep it on a book once it dried? tyy ^-^

Try sealing the flowers with a collage glue or a spray fixative
Thank You @@helengrunow5094 I'll try this ❣️
I want to recycle my own paper and I add it to the paper. Will this work because I’d be adding moisture back to the flowers?

Do you separate the flowers from the parchment paper after waiting 2 days or after you finish ironing them?
yes
This is awesome and happy crafts
Can I use coffee filters for the iron
Tells you at the start of the video you can use coffee filters!
This is awesome! Will it work for fall leaves?
Maybe I should finish the video before asking questions 🤦🏽♀️ yes it will work
Iron 4’o clock flowers, place between 2 printing papers , failed flowers fake a little & stuck on the papers.
I have dried a few flower using pressed book method.. all of them have dried but why when I put it on resin it turn yellow and green? Someone please help me 😭😭😭
It is because of the reaction of the flower towards the resin.
@@kristinamasaya5512 do you know how to avoid it?.. and how can I store my dried flower?
@@Phia_Sophea look up “Artsy Madwoman” I believe she’s talked about “slower curing resins” and how to use a different kind of resin for flowers

Is it ok if i use tissue paper instead of parchment?
We would not recommend tissue paper - parchment paper is made to handle the heat from the iron!

Can i use anti oil craft paper?
We have not used this before, but if the paper can have heat directly applied to it then it may be an option. We recommend parchment paper.
