@@Abcdghii Not the specific day, but I do remember what I was doing. My family moved from Nevada to Michigan and it was one of the flowers I picked up along our U-Haul road trip at one of the those rest stops.
I use regular paper so the moisture is absorbed through the pages. my problem is to preserve the color of the flower. maybe that's why she uses parchment paper I guess, I'll give it a try.
I can't wait to try this however, I wish you would have showed us how to do the flowers between glass. Do you glue or Modge Podge in place for that as well.
I have the similar frame in a hexagon. I noticed there is tiny opening and I want to completely seal my frame so no air gets in to ruin my red carnation. Any tips? Err gorilla glue the frames? I pressed my flowers for a week now, it's flattened but the petals still look "fresh". Maybe 2 more weeks. I also read some people spray their pressed flowers before framing it??
Oh yeah. Maybe look up putting a thin layer of varnish. Probably the spray. Or lightly painting varnish on top. Makes the colors pop too. But Google it first. I've never experienced varnish on flowers. I just know it's a good way to preserve colors & drawings on artwork.
i've dried pressed tons of flowers before, unfortunately when i took them out of the book they were littered with mold, and the ones that didn't mold had petals fall off :( does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?
Hey! What do you press your flowers on? If you press them in a book then maybe you just didn’t have enough weight. If it was a thin book then possibly there weren’t enough pages to absorb all the moisture!
@@ericc2198 i did press them in a book :) put a basket of books on top of it, pretty heavy if i say so myself and they were around the middle of the book, i'd say it was around 200 pages and a decently sized book, there was moisture on many pages after the flowers when i opened it :D
I was told hard to press roses as they're too big, I took them apart and did the petals instead. The more delicate the flower the better I think is the idea
One of my houseplants looks like it's about to bloom and I want to save the flowers because this species doesn't bloom often. Is it okay to leave the flowers on the stem to preserve the entire flower spike? it's not that thick of a stem but the leaves on it are very fleshy since it's a succulent so I'm wondering if there will be too much water.
if you had a whole stack of heavy books WHY would you put the book with the flowers in the middle??? then the books underneath it are not weighing down on it. that is so pointless hahaha
Thank you so much for this. My grandfather just died today and I want to press flowers in memory of him. I love him and will miss him very much.
Oh, thats so sweet. I'm sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss
Thank you!! My youngest sister brought me flowers for my birthday and i just want to keep them forever 🥺 this is the best way
Figuring out how to press roses my boyfriend got me. Thank you for this!
this was so much fun to watch, I can't wait to get my hands on some flowers to do this.
I have a flower that I put in a book about 40 yrs ago.
Does it still have it's color???

Thank you for that beautiful work. So Motivating
Thank you! Going to do this with my graduation flowers! 🥰
thanks you for this informative video! i'm so happy at how simple it is.
Excellent presentation. Thank you❤
This is very help full i enjoyed theis.the flowers are lovely
So beautiful~ I love stock!
I get confused with moisture in the flowers. Did you have to change out the paper within those 2 weeks of drying time?
I use regular paper so the moisture is absorbed through the pages. my problem is to preserve the color of the flower. maybe that's why she uses parchment paper I guess, I'll give it a try.
You don’t want to use very big flowers when book pressing there are other ways of pressing but flowers
I’ve never changed out the paper. Put it in a book and forget about it for a few weeks
Can you press any type of flower? And will they always retain the colours or is that lost in some?
I can't wait to try this however, I wish you would have showed us how to do the flowers between glass. Do you glue or Modge Podge in place for that as well.
it’s trapped between two panes of glass or at least that’s what it looks like!
I used thinned Elmer's glue when I volunteered at an herbarium. Then use a small brush to paint the glue on the pressed flower.
You're lovely and beautiful. Thank you for this tutorial 🌸🌸🌸
No point in putting the pressing book in the middle of a pile. Put it at the bottom.
Nice and simple tutorial.. thank you!
This is off topic but holy shit she is so gorgeous
So beautiful! ❤️ Thank you
Will the flowers decay once in the frame or will they preserve??
what’s the best kind of glue to use that won’t damage the flowers?
is there a way to preserve the color... most flowers and leaves I have pressed lose alot of vibrance
Just asking if this actually removes moisture and preserves them? Just curious because of the baking paper which isn’t absorbent
What type of glue do you use?
I would like to press my Edelweiss flowers, the way you have shown will this be ok with the bulky Edelweiss?
What baking paper works best? Wax or parchment? Help please 😊
How long does pressed flower stay
May I ask where you got that golden pic frame? It is so beautiful
Search for 'glass frame for pressed flowers'
So beatiful thank you
Are the pressed flowers dry enough to be placed in between two pieces of glass without creating any excess moisture?
hei! From where you purchased the glass frame? Is wonderful!
You don’t need to spray the flowers with hairspray if putting them in a glass picture frame?
What if the flowers are frail already and dried out? I’m assuming pressing will just crush and ruin them.
What is the purpose of putting the flowers in a vase?
What would be the best way to do a rose?
Fantastic where can you buy the clear frame?

Resin maybe?

My flowers got fungus 😩 is it because book wasn't pressed properly? Is there a way to press when flowers are bulky ?
Yeah some air probably got in. You probably needed more weight if they were bulkier.
Where are the frames from?
I did the process you showed but found the flowers moldy at the end of the two weeks. Suggestions?
make sure the flowers are dry before you place them in the book
Use blotting paper to absorb the moisture.
I have a question...Sorry to ask but How must I paste in the frame ?.I mean any glue or what?
Can i repeat the same procedure for bougainvillea petals?
i've dried pressed tons of flowers before, unfortunately when i took them out of the book they were littered with mold, and the ones that didn't mold had petals fall off :(

How do you press larger flowers, such as roses and carnations (and those 'enormous' daisy like flowers)? TIA.
I was told hard to press roses as they're too big, I took them apart and did the petals instead. The more delicate the flower the better I think is the idea
Does anyone know where she gets the glass yo do this flower pressing project?? All and any help qould be appreciated!! LOVE and UNIVERSAL LIGHT 🎆🎇🌠🌌
thank you! :)
I bought a flower press but my flowers had mold after 3 weeks. Why is that? This is the second time with different flowers. 😢
Without alcohol can be dry?
Only need baking paper+book?
how did you make the flower art in the frame

Thank you for sharing
I like poisonous flower they are very pretty so I’m doing baby’s breath but it’s very little so will it press?
How do you get the stems flat? I pressed some and the stem of the rose won’t fit between the two glasses. Hope that makes sense
You might just have to use flowers with thinner stems! like wild flowers and such
This is so easy but the flower will not turn into withered color when pressing in book? Is it a must to use baking paper?
Doing it with my snakes shed
if you had a whole stack of heavy books WHY would you put the book with the flowers in the middle??? then the books underneath it are not weighing down on it. that is so pointless hahaha
You shan't be so rude.
Doesn’t need to be smashed to death hon
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂
This triggered me so hard
I found a four leaf cover and want to save it
Why in middle ? And not bottom? Jc
I was looking for this comment lol
Here for the same reason 🤣
What were the names of the flowers please ☺️
this lady is so finee
