Yes, "This is what happens in... " is one of the best series that Ghaststation does. Looks like a lot of work.
I agree completely. It’s one of those series that I can just rewatch over and over again because they’re all so amazing and have had so much work put into. I’m glad that Ghast enjoys making them, as he said in this video, cause I’d miss them a ton if they were gone.

You're acting like Surtr was any better. He was basically a mouthpiece to the flames of Ragnarok, nothing more. Probably just organized (and by organized I mean forcefully conscripted) an army and lets the rest of his nation go to shit. Honestly Laevatein is better, at least she's not violent unless told to be.

Laegjarn was clearly the best choice to be ruler of Múspell (since she's the only one who's head is screwed on straight), but I guess IS took a good look at the backlash Camilla (and also Kagero to smaller extent) get on a regular basis and said "guess we have to burn any curvy character we create in this story because of the community's burning hatred for these characters" (which would explain why both Gunnthrá and Laegjarn were burned alive)

Also, can Múspell really be trusted? We're talking about the same country that produced Surtr and followed him on his warpath, so they could strike when they have the chance. Even if Laevatein is all rainbows they could just depose her for "shaming" her kingdom. I don't expect much worldbuilding from a mobile game but they really should be a bit more descriptive with the enemy kingdoms.
God those roasts were as strong as Sinmara, I don't know whether to be insulted or impressed. High quality as per the usual, these are probably some of the funniest plot synopses' I've watched and I've seen quite a few funny ones.

Book 2's big bad evil guy is that edgelord who joins your d&d group, minmaxes the hell out of his character in a way that's incredibly annoying, uses his OP stats to torture NPCs while screwing the party over, and whines and says you didn't actually kill him when everyone turns around and kills him. Helbindi deserves a better group.

I'm calling that Loki doesn't even serve Hel either. Something about her place in the book 3 trailer and the significant differences in design to Eir and Hel just gives the impression she's not on their side either. Perhaps she'll just eternally go around helping more evil dudes for fun.
I still think that she's just using the best opportunity to get dying people to kill Hel or something like that, so she's looking for potential. Supporting Veronica and Surtr's wars at first, leading the Askrians (whatever they're called) to Hel later.

At the time of Book II, Gunnthra was one of the ONLY characters I liked. I'd be down to seeing her again. And maybe having a second chance at life. Same with Fjorm.
Kopaka is my favourite fire emblem character.

Laevatein was by far my favorite FEH OC of Book 2. I thought from her voice lines to her awkward dialogue that she was abused by Surtr to become a loyal killing machine, but lost any common sense and emotion for others in the process. All she knows is how to kill and how to follow orders, because Surtr abused her into thinking like this, he did this to his own daughter. Laegjarn's interactions with her also reinforce this, especially in the chapter where they were trying to chase the askrians and Fjorm. It made me that that she's trying to undo all the awful things Surtr did to Laevatein and try to get her to act like a normal person. Her confession also proves this:
"A blade has no feelings. A blade has no thoughts. I am a lethal tool, my father said. Nothing more.
But spending time with you...I have thought about many things.
My sister said she wants me to live. And...I want to live... Together, here, with you.
Is this my idea, or is it my sister's? I am unsure.
And now...this feeling... I do not dislike it. Even if it is unfamiliar."
She's just an interesting character, to me at least, that needed more development imo. Helbendi and Laevatein stole the Book 2 show, while Surtr was just the conductor.
I was thinking that when I saw that too. Like as she gets new alts, she's slowly opening up and learning to feel. In fact, this applies to the other Book II characters.

Something More Original Surtr literally ruins the game for some people. Annoying people (totally not me) have 4 surtrs on aether raid defence
@@davidwang2853 But he's easy? Like, very easy. Circle affinity + Axe Breaker, always bring a unit with both. Add a firesweep blade if you want to be a better coward. I say that even knowing that it completely gets destroyed by everything else. You'll only need 3 units for taking down everything else, anyways.

I'm so happy I found your channel, because your review was both funny and also super helpful in actually remembering/understanding FEH's plot for Book II. I especially agreed with your overlap on Fjorm/Azura characterization, since it really is a bummer that Fjorm didn't develop as much as she should have through the Book. I'm hoping she'll get more in future chapters, especially when dealing with her curse-cold thing, but honestly, she really did deserve better 😭
My experiences with each book...
Book 1: Meh, about what I expected.
Book 2: Wait, this is actually interesting and good?
Book 3: *What the fuck? How is a free mobile game getting my attention better than a Fire Emblem game I spent money on? (You know which one)*

Wait til you get to the part in Book 3 where you find out Eir was murdered by her mother every day for basically her entire childhood to grow Hel's power, and how the game describes how Eir could see the corpses of her former self on the floor.
Don't forget about Eir seeing Hel as her biological mother constantly, and _despite_ what happened.
Mother of Eternity prize goes to Hel, with a stamp that says "Get fucked, bitch!"

and yeah, meanwhile the Rite of Frost requires 2 mcguffins, the sacrifice AND rite preformer gets nothing since chances ae the Nifl royal doing the rite of frost is not the choses one for Bredablik, and it only counters the flames that make you fucking invincible, and not the riteof flame itself so you have to solve that issue the hard way

Can't say I agree on Surtr. He's "good" as far as Heroes goes but is pretty much trash otherwise. His shtick got old fast for me.

You're right, but then again, you shouldn't have high expectations for a mobile game. Surtr has a lot of screen time and he doesn't mess around. That beats just sitting on your throne until endgame like Garon or Medeus do.
I did, however, find it really annoying having to listen to him.
@@extrahachse3118 I mostly agree, but that point shouldn't be used against Medeus. In a series about armies and countries, it's pretty silly to expect the big bad to make an appearance and do shit when he has a chain of command doing that. The actions of Dohlr and its human allies/puppets speak loudly enough for him. He's the "Shadow Dragon" in more ways than one.
@@BifronsCandle Sure, but from a narrative standpoint it means meeting the Big Bad at the last second without any build up or any reason to feel really invested in him as a character. You play Shadow Dragon and during the Last chapter you meet some generic egghead sitting on the throne you're trying to seize, on many ways not different from all the other bosses in this game.
Zephiel, Hardin, Ashnard, Travant or Arvis were all Kings and did way better than that. Ashnard does not even leave Crimea's castle, but you see him order armies around etc. or have meaningful dialogue
Anyway, I like an antagonist who takes action because antagonists are supposed to drive the conflict and I take generic shitheads like Surtr or Redric over Medeus any day

This video (and the one for book 1) are videos I would legit recommend to people who want to start book 3 right away and haven't played the first two. It's very accurate to the source while having that Ghast style comedy.

Y’know, I actually just remembered you (I think it was you) going on record saying that your favorite villains were big, bulky knight-king guys like Zephiel. And Surtr is basically defined by exactly that.
