      For anyone new to the Armored Core series:
      - Your play style should really determine what and how you build. If you prefer to tank hits, do that. If you prefer speed, do that.
      - Dont be afraid to fail. Failing is a huge part of the series and even opens paths you normally can’t get.
      - There is no right or wrong way to play, only a preference.
      - Don’t be afraid to experiment. Close combat it unusual and fun. Super range is cool! Machine Gun Queen is great! Never let others say it’s wrong.
      - My personal recommendation: bring a friend. To this day, the most fun I’ve ever had was taking turns on the controller in older AC titles and then playing with a friend in AC5. A copilot makes the game better!
      - Try every build possible

    Armored Core is the series that kept FromSoft alive. Calling this new game AC 6 is a commitment to the few but passionate fans that supported From through 3 console generations and haven't gotten a new game in 10 years.

    • @Dawings21
      @Dawings21 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Pretty sure everything between 2 and 4 (and both games sub titles) propped up From for long enough to make it to Demon Souls, which while not selling well internationally did really well in Japan. Poor Armored Core always gets shafted in talks about From, even though a good amount of their core fan base was from long before Dark Souls 2.

    • @StrikeNoir105E
      @StrikeNoir105E ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@Dawings21 AFAIK isn't it the reverse? Demon's Souls wasn't successful in Japan, but a hit overseas since the Western audience took to the novel difficulty of the game a lot better than the Japanese did.

      I'm pretty sure AC 3,4, and 5 are reboots. They always rhyme the title when making a sequel, like AC4 and AC "for" answer and AC5 for AC "V"erdict Day. Which makes AC6 more likely a reboot.

    On the subject of Armored Core 6 not being a reboot, there is no need for a reboot, the stories of the mainline AC games are not really connected, with some exceptions, it's like the Final Fantasy series where every new main game is in a different universe. So essentially every new Armored Core game is itself a reboot.

      @@666slateran666 people can't help but compare everything to souls nowadays. Have some interesting armor designs? "Looks like dark souls armor." Have a new game being made by From? "They might make it more like souls." If only people realize how nauseatingly dull it is to make the same/similar thing over and over with nothing to change the pace inbetween. I'm glad Miyazaki didn't steer AC towards being another souls game. That's not what the game is supposed to be.

    • @666slateran666
      @666slateran666 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Silver-yy3so To be fair I LOVE the souls games, played pretty much all of them to completion and then some. Still, not everything needs to have souls elements. Games like God of war ape a little bit of it which is fine because the old GOW gameplay was getting stale. However hardcore AC fans do not want that, they obviously want something that's faithful to the older games with a bigger budget. Which by the sounds of it from the dev's interview they are doing exactly that. Get ready for the avalanche of bad takes from your Vaati vidyas and the like.

    To clarified with your comments in the Armored Core section, When it comes to this franchise, Fromsoftware decided to make it a numbered series rather than a reboot is simply because there's no need to follow the whole franchise in terms of story or lore. It is like Final Fantasy, each Armored Core games, even the numbered ones are different, even its expansions. So you don't need to worry about catching up and just play it fresh.
    Also to add, Armored Core 6, If I'm not wrong, won't be souls-like and more close to original series which is mech building customization, mech combat akin to a mix of Ace Combat and Daemon X Machina, and great boss fight. Talking about Boss fight, apparently they are going to take out from their previous works such as Elden Ring, to make big boss fights. Really looking forward for that.
    If you haven't seen an Armored Core gameplay, just check it out. I think most people liked the Combat PVP from AC4 and AC: For Answer.

      It definitely won't be souls like the devs doubled down on deconfirming that already. Yet everyone is running with it. I can't wait for souls players to get stomped on and whine about it being to hard because it actually takes real reflexes

      @@666slateran666 Why did you have to be edgy about it? New players will adjust to the game's demands or they won't. Simple as.
      And AC games take more preperation, not reflexes, over souls games, you'll learn this when you play your first AC game

      @@lamellarm6546 I've beaten and played hundreds of hours of the other ps2 Era ones. It definitely takes more skill and reflexes than you're average souls game. Preparation is also a huge part sure, which will be doubly as sad when content creators make shit sorties and complain the game is bad

    I’m excited for armoured core 6, 5 was fantastic and to see what a good few years of polish can do to a genuinely fantastic franchise. I don’t think it’s gonna be the mainstream hit people are expecting it to be just for being a FROM game but I think it’ll be absolutely spectacular for people who are open to that niche.
