If you're in Guwahati, you should visit these places
    1. Kamakhya temple
    2. World's smallest river Island (Umananda)
    3. Guwahati-North Guwahati ropeway
    4. Brahmaputra Sunset Cruise
    5. Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre
    6. Assam State Museum
    7. Sankardev Kalakhetra
    8. Deepor Beel
    9. Belle View
    10. Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary
As an Guwahatian, I would recommend you to visit these places.

I'm a HUGE Indian fan, been there 4x now, so had to stop by and see your perspective. In particular, I've been to the NE as well (Mizoram), it is crazy how unique and different each region in the NE can be. Your mannerisms are clearly more youthful which is great, nothing wrong with that! I'm an old fart, so I tend to travel more in pants and collared top, but to each is own right? I must watch more...thank you!

LOL, there wasn't much of Guwahati to see in this video. And whatever little there was, just looks cr@ppy. What with that dubious cab rental centre at 27:04 and the miserable traffic at 28:55, it just looks like any other Indian city/town - too full of people and vehicles. ☹
I think the "amazing" part that you are referring to is that hotel, which looks like a five-star affair to me.
Guwahati is actually not so bad, but you need to head out of the city centre to see its real beauty, from what I remember of it.

1:04:32 those are beetle nut tree. In Assamese it's called Tamul Gos(Tamul mean beetle nut, and gos means tree). Beetle nut is eaten as mouth freshner along with Paan in Assam. Infact the name Guwahati is derived from this word. Guwa in Assamese also means beatle nut and Hati means market. So the name of Guwahati is came from those two words. Assam is famous for beetle nut, coconut and bamboo trees.

In North east India when they say spicy it means they are really spicy. We mostly use king chili in our foods. You are warned 😂

please keep in mind in some of the northeast States unit you need permit to visit.
foreigners require Protected Area Permits (PAPs) for only Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. In Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland, foreigners are required to make a simple police-registration (often facilitated by guest houses or travel guides) within 24 hours of arrival.

I have many Assamese friends in Guwahati......one is the owner of a tea plantation. If I'd known you were going there I could have set up a meeting. My friend Sajid is a street food addict and he knows all the best places to go.....it annoys his missus and he prefers street food to home cooked, lol.
