My friend Dhiraj and I visit the Bihu Festival (Rongali 2023) in Guwahati Assam. It was an incredible experience and I share with you my experience being the only foreigner there. I had an amazing time and met many kind people. The festival had so many things to do and places to eat at.

@@Halftimehero573 Basically, I'm not familiar with facing camera. This is my first time I'm facing a camera (video will published publically). And that day is my first day with camera. I don't know about others, they may have experience of facing the camera or they don't get shy at their first appearance. But it's completely different from me. I have already informed him about my issue with camera, before traveling to Guwahati.
And second thing I might don't have that much of knowledge about every part of Assam. As being a college student it's very hard to get a leave from college to explore such places.
Only TH-camr who is capturing Guwahati properly. It is so much more than tiny shack like restaurants in older parts of Guwahati. There are so many hip places, wonderful little concept cafés, great music and cultural scene. There is also an awesome night life. It is so much more than just Fancy Bazar and nearby old delhi like areas, the heart and soul of the new Guwahati is in GS road today.

Great, you enjoyed Bihu festivel. It's harvest festivel of Assam. There are three Bihu celebrated in Assam, Bhogali Bihu or Magh Bihu in January, Rongali Bihu or Bohag Bihu in April and Kati Bihu or Kongali Bihu in October/November.
Rongali Bihu or Bohag Bihu marks the Assamese New Year. People wears new clothes, make tradional food and dance in Bihu songs. It's the main festival of Assam.

Bihu is the state festival of assam. There are three types of bihu . First is rongali bihu, celebrated in the month of April( starts from 14th april signalling the onset of spring , second is kongali bihu, signalling the onset of autumn, n the 3rd is Magh bihu , celebrated on 13th or 14th Jan,also known as the festival of harvest.
If u had come on 13th April,u could have witnessed largest bihu dance performed by 11000 artists making its way to guiness world record.

This not bihu...this is just a bihu related fair. Bihu is a cultural festival and we have several rituals and a beautiful dance form to celebrate bihu. You should have visited bihu world record program on 14th April.
