Topped off with Mediterranean ingredients and it's perfect for me. Whether it be Italy, Spain, Portugal or Skiathos, the best pizza I've had is in those places and they were woodfired.
True, there's nothing better than woodfire. You should try German sourdough rye bread baked in a woodstove and also flammkuchen or tarte flambee baked in a woodstove!

So I think the profits from more pizzas sold will make it up. Edit: And if this is a restaurant specifically serving tourists then the customers wouldn't mind the price, since there's a reason why people want to eat Italian-style pizza over fast-food imitations

Outstanding! My buddy’s dad built a rocket stove style brick pizza oven outdoors. The temperature reached up to 1k degrees on a digital thermometer. It could cook a pizza in about 90 seconds. Best darn pizza I ever ate!

Had the pleasure of eating in Rome's local pizza restaurant and it was amazing even the owner spoke to us, even in broken english. Way better than Domino's or other brands. Will be coming back to Italy for sure. Great place to visit.

I went on holiday to Rome this summer and I went to that Pizzeria (il's also a Restaurant). I also made some photos in front of it like it's a monument. No city stated this. I’m Italian and Irish, I know great old Italian spots that make better pizza than many places in Italy. Don’t forget many many Italians migrated to America especially New York, they all brought their recipes and culture here as well.
Reminds me of the good old days of Montreal, 70’s, when pizza was great.
