    Hi, just wanted to say thanks for the video. Installed the Heed bars today on my 2020 1050 XT and your video came in handy even though I had the instructions. Also no spacers needed if you have factory lowers👍

    Hi. Great vid. I plan on fitting some to my 1050. What torque settings did you use to tighten the engine bolts??
    Thanks👍👍

    Hi I have just fitted a set of these to my 1050xt and like you I used the bolts that came with the herd kit but the original spacers as Also have the lower engine guard bars. Have you had any issues since doing this ? I’m finding I have a little more engine vibration? Could the longer bolts maybe alter the engine alignment if not used with spacers supplied by heed? I may take one out and measure it against the original bolt measure how much longer it is. If I then take away the depth of the heed mounting point, my thought is that it should then give the same thread depth as original bolt? Or am I over thinking it?

    Great video! I just purchased a 2022 V-Strom 1050XT Adventure with the lower crash bars and the Heed Upper bars might be the solution I am looking for. You have had them for awhile now, do you still like them and have they caused any issues? Thanks again for a great video!
    Cheers!

      I still have them on, but they give a lot of extra wind noise on the highway. I hvae considered to remove them when I'm using the bike on a daily basis and just mount them again when going on long road trips.

    I instaled them but i have some vibration (not to much).Going to put today ruber washer to reduce vibration .i have questions ,did you must remove them when you change sparks and air filter?

  • @taol3944
    @taol3944 ปีที่แล้ว

    nice video, but when it comes to the air filter changes, do we have to dismantle everything? We need to remove the fairing and petrol tank to get access to air filter on this on right ?

      Yes you are correct this makes basic maintenance a huge pain in the butt. However makes offroad riding alot more fun because you can be dumb without too many consequences

    Another clarification, please: to be able to move the suzuki crashbar supplied, in addition to the two upper nuts, have you also loosened the central pin, or does it not touch?

    • @kers2008
      @kers2008  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no I didn't touch that. All that is replaced, loosened or tightened are shown in the video

    Sorry, I don't understand from the video: when you inserted the spacers, did you remove the exsisting ones, or not? And did you inserte the spacers on both the right and left, on both sides?

    • @kers2008
      @kers2008  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the existing ones because I have the lower crash bar from Suzuki. The spacers should be used on both sides.

  • @dirkstrunk8587
    @dirkstrunk8587 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi,
    I would like to mount the crash bars as well. However, one thing is not clear to me when mounting. Do you loosen both front screws of the engine mount at the same time? (rigth and left side) In the instructions from Heed is warned against this.

    • @kers2008
      @kers2008  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t remember but I’m pretty sure I did the left side first. Just follow the instructions from Heed then you should be safe. Mine came without the instructions, so I emailed them and got it later
