The “sugga -bougie ones look really great dyed as well if you give em a real good char and hit ‘em with a brush to bring back some light color vs the char. Maybe not for this project to keep the time super low…. But an idea to throw out there for other projects people make. You can actually dye them with a whole bunch of different things including RIT and food coloring lol.

I put a couple of 1/2" rare earth magnets in the handle, and it is sitting on the side of my fridge. My kits only cost 30 cents each. The scrap bin is going to get depleted making a bunch of odd-shaped bottle openers before the next bazaar.

That first coaster that you did with the top design... That would be a great trivet idea for putting hot things on the table at the holidays so that you don't have to put potholders on the table! (No bottle opener of course..lol)

Rockstar! It took until you were sanding the thumb book holders for me to realize what they were! I've been making them but with a scroll saw, your way will be far more consistent.❤
Rockstar, I have not figured it out yet but sure do like that tip on using the edge of the sander. Every time I go into the soap store I see those things and think "I could make them except for the little curve." Now I know and don't need a spindle sander to do it.
