I'm a filmmaker for the National Geographic and have to say I find your work truly amazing, and organic. You make other 'bush-crafters' on here look like they're 'playing house' - Good on you!
This is how a lot people enjoyed nature and perfected skills and hobbies before cell phones! I remember my grandpa doing these things and it was fantastic. Like fishing using a trout line, using a net and respecting tools of everyday survival created used by our hands, and appreciating everything. You set the stage for a revolution, are a role model as to how to respect those things again. Who knows, one day soon we may depend on them again.
I have watched a lot of bushcrafting videos on TH-cam and I gotta say, that no one holds a candle to you when it comes to your axe chopping skills. You really make it look so easy. You never seem in a hurry with anything you do. I understand why you have a lot of viewers.
I have recently found this channel. You are teaching Bushcraft, woodcraft methods and techniques that nobody else on you tube that I have found yet. As well as true living off the land style cooking etc. I will definitely be going through all your videos to learn more as you are truly teaching and not playing. From AL USA.

I also love to know why things work, which took me to investigate what the heck is amadou and tinder ( my language is Spanish), and I found a great video by Cimbrer Brushcraft about it. I love to know that cider woods have all these chemicals that are used for explosives and therefore using ashes from them impregnates the fungus with ignitible properties and that is why it works so well.
Man, the move with trypod rope is brilliant. I have never seen a person that used a stick with hook-like piece at the end to keep trypod still and as a pot holder at the same time. Great video!

Rune has such a calm and relaxed manner when doing things that I often find I have to re-watch some things because it's so enjoyable to just watch that I get drawn in and just enjoy seeing things develop and unfold. I've never seen anyone process amadou like that before, particularly the pounding/flattening part. I can see some real advantages to doing that. It seems so obvious after the fact, but something I had never thought of. Thanks for sharing another great adventure with us!

Thanks for that, I have never seen tinder made that way before. I have always just used char cloth when I lived in the UK. No tinder fungus though where I live in Spain now but we do have yucca which works very well for tinder.

Love how everything seem to have a slight metal hue to it. The trees, mushrooms, lake, sky even the dirt. Very easy on the eyes.
