In Madeira now off the back of some of your videos mate and done this walk today and it was absolutely breathtaking. The 25 fontes is beautiful aswell relatively quiet during this time of year. Cheers mate
This was Mum's favourite part of Madeiera (we visited annually for 20 + years). Mum was a very quiet woman but to see her eyes light up in wonder when she saw those waves hitting the rocks there spoke volumes.
Well, what can I say. I think WOW just about covers it. That drone footage aswel, take a bow. I think one of your best videos yet for scenery. You are making me want to go there for sure. Thankyou both.
I would not be able to do this hike. However 2nd best is being there with both of you. I was holding on to my chair as you walked through some spots, such sheer rock walls!! Thank you so much! Absolutely stunning! - Ontario, Canada
❤❤❤❤ love love love such a great video and great having your partner in it … not seen the others yet as we were away for three weeks. Thank you for all the personal time you take to share this with us
Did the same walk about 28 years ago, Nobody there, its a totally differant place now.. There is another walk starting from the same location that follows a path along the northern cliffs, along with massive drops to the sea. Such a stunning Island. Keep up the good work
This has got to be my favourite of the Madeira series so far, just WOW!! Reminded me very much of Skye, Harris and Lewis, absolutely mind blowing scenery and geology, those volcanic dykes!! The colours!! Incredible. Thank you again Glenn, showing me somewhere I'll never have the chance to see
Thanks for taking us all along with you to Madeira, what stunning views. 👀 The later in the day walk, worked out really well. The cliff tops at sundown, wow. Thanks both, a great watch.
Spectacular view there, would love to do that wander. A lot of people there, but not surprising really. Nice to see Dina again on your travels, she looks great fun to walk with.
Great video Glenn. 👍 As others have said, the drone shots are 👌. Thank you for putting this together and sharing for those of us not yet able to visit🙏 Thank you also to Dina for showing us your stunning homeland🙏. All your films are great, whatever the location.
Thank you for taking me somewhere I'm pretty sure I'll never visit to enjoy it's beauty. It reminds me a little of Big Sur and Northern California coast in places, which I have visited on several occasions.
WOW! What a beautiful walk! The views are breathtaking. You do an amazing job taking us through the walk. I felt like I was there in person with you. A wonderful job capturing the beauty of this island. The drone video brings this to another level. Great work, and thank you for sharing.
Sailed here before covid and stood right on the edge pretty much where you are, it was one hell of a hike up from the anchorage to the summit of that cliff, la Gomera was even sketchier but man, what a place. If you get the chance to see Gomera do it, it's even more majestic. Just watch out if your bare foot on the black sand, some of it got stuck in my foot and is still in there today because the knife we had on board was blunt 😂
absolutely beautiful. Our National Parks have also become incredibly crowded in the summer months. You can still manage to lose most of the crowds in the back country.
Your island is stunning Dena! Thank you two for taking us. Question: what are the eight circular things lined up in two rows in the bay? Are they boat or aircraft warnings?
10.05 and the different coloured rocks.I think I remember being told that the brown rock are from lava flows and the grey are lava dykes which fed the volcanoes. The 2 bays earlier are the remnants of small volcanoes that blew out and then what you see is the guts (leftovers ) of the small volcanoes. Think I got that right if not someone will correct me. I had a bustup with one of our group because she thought I was spending to much time taking pictures of the area and that she wanted to get to the far end of the headland. After the third moan I lost it and told her to fornicate off. After all we had all paid for the trip and she had to come back the same way. Sorted in 2 words.Patches of, What the hell is it, lava bombs!
Lovely scenery, does look like the Scottish Highlands in places. It seemed to get empty and dark pretty quickly. Food looked scrumptious! Thanks for upload, great watch.
What a spectacular walk - thoroughly enjoyed it. A while back I did a number of guided walks on the Island and came across the glum faces you describe. Hate to stereotype but I think it’s a nationality trait (not the locals, Dina!). Nuff said.
Five minutes in and you appear to have arrived on the NW coast of Skye! 🤣 Really stunning scenery and it made for a heck of a video, even if coping with all those people would be difficult. Really enjoying this Madiera series and it really shows how your style of filming and nattering to us works in any location.
The colours everywhere in that land and seascape are something else. They pop out like they've been enhanced by a phone camera. Except they haven't! The lakes weather was more like Madeira when I was up there last week. Got frazzled on striding edge and Helvellyn, not used to that! Cured my stinking hangover as well..
Madeira is just breathtaking in all weathers! I'm curious, that did not look like your usual Sony clipped to your rucksack, so what was that camera/lens combo? Olympus/OM System perhaps?
'Bucket Lists', selling 'experiences' and Insta have killed most places these days. The only thing will be going out of season, along with the bad weather. Try the Canary Islands, maybe? (Grumpy...Germans)
Regarding the complaining about all the people also there on these beautiful places, you do seem to be forgetting that you are tourists too, taking up space in that environment😜
It's also Glenn's right, as it's his channel, to wish there wasn't as many people there. And alot of us want to see other places as well as the lakes 'too'

Outstanding Glenn lad. Thanks for bringing us along. I’d love to visit Madeira, need to put it on the list after seeing this!
My stomach couldn’t take this ..when you were so near the edge ..I got knots in it 🥴

I was there in the 70s and 80s, only saw a couple of people, can't believe it's so busy now. Great vid thanks.

Brilliant, what a stunning place! 👍😍
Really enjoyed that, unreal landscape.
Also can I add the enjoyment was second to none as the ads were few and far between, also short.
Much better.
Great video as always. Thanks to both of you for allowing us to share in your awesome adventures. Mind blowing landscapes!

WOW, stunning scenery and beautifully filmed, much appreciated, thank you 👏👏👏
This was a real eye opener thanks glen, loved the views am saving up to get to madera👍😎
absolutely beautiful. Our National Parks have also become incredibly crowded in the summer months. You can still manage to lose most of the crowds in the back country.
Great video, scary drops. 22:32 reminds me of the walk out to Neist Point on Skye.
Told you it was worth a visit! Absolute brilliant video. You should be on tv pal. Credit is due. 👍
Absolutely outstanding scenery of the like I've never seen or likely to see well presented as ever thanks
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing! Love from the USA!
I have just joined the Black Clan! Amazing video Glenn. At a few spot's I was scared watching. I am glad the volcanic rocks did not give away.
Thanks Ian and welcome to the Clan 😊 🙌

Fish farming pens

What an amazing series of walks you have taken us the scenery has been truly outstanding. Don’t mind if you take me on a few more holidays with you.😊

😮 stunning. Lost for words. What an experience. ❤
I want to go. Stunning. Thank you for sharing.

Great content. Loved that

More of this please 😁 The Lake District is great but it's great to break it up with other countries/landscapes.
Fabulous mate, stunning video 😊
That drone footage 😍😍
What mighty ferocious cliffs!
a sliver lining with people - they give a great perspective to the the scale of the place
Wow, I think this video bypassed the clan “no adverts”. Great walk
Just as blown away as we were. Lovin this series so much 🤩
Wow that looks epic. ❤
Madeira is just breathtaking in all weathers!
I'm curious, that did not look like your usual Sony clipped to your rucksack, so what was that camera/lens combo? Olympus/OM System perhaps?
That Sunset shot looks like it should be on a Bathory album cover, It could be the insert for Twilight Of The Gods!! \m/\m/
Stunning....
It's a bit like Yesnaby on Orkney with the sea stacks and the terrifying cliffs
Lake District for me pal.. atb 👍🙏
Amazing scenery if rather too popular a walk. You terrified me when you were so close to the edge on unstable ground!
Wow! But OMG, all those people at the start, you deffo made the right choice starting late.
Absolutely majestic 😮 my favourite walk of the series. Spectacular 🎉
Certainly a beautiful island
That guy in the green shirt at the start ...🤭
Wanna save those sandwiches 🤣
Very Bonny but busy
Is that your wife? Never seen her before. Will she feature regularly in your videos now?
'Bucket Lists', selling 'experiences' and Insta have killed most places these days.
The only thing will be going out of season, along with the bad weather.
Try the Canary Islands, maybe? (Grumpy...Germans)
I was thinking about taking a trip, but I'm kind of put off with all the people, way too busy for my liking
Regarding the complaining about all the people also there on these beautiful places, you do seem to be forgetting that you are tourists too, taking up space in that environment😜
Beautiful scenery, spoilt by far too many human beings! But ya can't have everything i supposed 🤷
People have right to be there just like you to ,they probably thought same about you to.Get to lake's with finn much better scenery not for me .
It's also Glenn's right, as it's his channel, to wish there wasn't as many people there. And alot of us want to see other places as well as the lakes 'too'
@@julie-annehennessy8629 I can voice my opinion
No more of this crap,,,,lake district please
Crap? You serious? Stupid ignorant comment.
You don't have to watch. You also don't have to be rude. You chose both.
Crap? You serious? Pointless ignorant comment.
Moron
If its not for you, don't watch the film.
Omg please don’t stand close to the edge 🫣 my heart missed a few beats when you got to close
