Many thanks for the troubleshooting tips. I was able to determine my remote battery wasn't making good contact. A simple fix for that and I am once again enjoying my Bose Wave!
Ordered a replacement remote for bose wave 2 and it doesnt work. The remotes are apparently not interchangable, yet my 2 existing radios' remotes are interchangeable and work fine. I am guessing that each remote has a frequency that it sends to the radio and you have to somehow get lucky when buying a replacement. Unless anyone knows a fix?
You are correct, I believe. I have 3 regular remotes and one larger remote for the bigger Bose radio/cd player here and some don't work with the 3 radios and CD changer I have. Did you test the remote to see that it is working?
Looks very old school Andy. Well done for taking it apart.
I have never seen a remote disassembly like this ever. Bose has a crude way of making them.

I am glad the video helped. Thank you for dropping by with the comment. I am happy that you can enjoy your bose wave once again.
Great instructional video. Thank you Andy for posting!
Thanks Kurt. A second video to follow on if I can repair the remote or not.
