Treyarch need to just release a stand alone zombies game with ever map ever made added to it. Then they could do a new season every 3 months and add a new map. I’m sick of having to buy a crappy game every 3 years just to only get 5-6 maps.

Bo4’s maps were great, regardless of how you feel about the game’s mechanics. The map design is damn solid in Bo4, aside from some of the questionable Aether map decisions. Chaos is super underrated. Get that biased BO4 hate bullshit outta here. It’s fine if you hate BO4, but don’t take the enjoyment away from people that appreciate it and really love it. I think the game is great and I’ll defend it to my last breath and it has some of my favorite maps. Again- Maps. Are. Subjective. Everyone wants different things out of zombies maps.

The disrespect given to five, classified and moon. Five deserves much higher, whilst Kino was a nice easy map to pick up, Five offered something challenging. Also how? Die Rise is by far one of the worst on parr with Tranzit.
Why this hate for die Rise ? This map is actually good. Has a great Wonder weapon and mostly has an original system. Not saying this is one of best maps but there are worst places in cod zombies than die Rise
@@lestranger7440 Well if you talk Treyarch/nonTreyarch zombies maps we can definitely put a lot of thoses like all the AWs and the WIIs without the Final Reich (those maps are ugly, the wonderweapons aren't great, not enough innovation with the ambiance, the light and the color work sucks). Voyage of despair and this map with the "allistair wonderweapon" which is the best from bo4 (can't remeber it) are better. Tag der Toten is better but Alpha Omega with Blood of the Dead? Love you my zombie's brother but no. Nacht der untoten and verrückt from both versions too l think (I will get cancelled for that). Love both of them but can't objectively put them above cauz of the thiny playability. Maps from IW zombies ? With those I totally agree with you. Now we can also deal with Cold War maps. But I don't already got that game. They looks better than Die Rise. I know this opinion is unpopular but if Die Rise had worked with the global structure of the map if could be in the same level than buried and maybe mob of the Dead. It still an opinion.

Only negative thing I have to say about the video (which is a minor thing) is that you can control the pentagon thief spawn round. You can wait until you have enough to pack and such. Amazing video never the less. I always love hearing peoples personal opinions. Keep up the good work

Objective in terms of the reasoning for the maps. There is no possible way for our opinions to be objective. There’s this fallacy that many people follow by, they assume that objective means the “popular” opinion. So they think because most people hate Voyage, it “objectively” should be low. But that IS NOT how objectivity works.

I think most people agree that voyage of despair doesn't have any real quality or reason to play it over any other map, which is kinda the worst flaw a map can have.

Rewatching this a few years later and I’m bummed that one of my most played maps is so low. I’ve been playing bodega so much lately. I don’t like the tortured path, but I like them as survival maps. COD WW2 is in the top 3 zombies for me along with infinite warfare and black ops 3 chronicles…. Ww2 favorites are Final reich, graustenhaus(sorry if spelled wrong) and then Bodega. Like you said it’s subjective and that’s perfectly ok. I’m more of a casual gamer and like the extremely easy Easter eggs or just going for as high a round as I can.
Video idea: Now that MW2019 wont likely have any new maps, could you make a video ranking all the multiplayer maps (maybe excluding Gunfight maps) And great video again. Some parts I strongly disagree but I do appreciate the effort, was definitely excited to see the lenght of this video

Great list, I agreed with pretty much all your points on bo4 especially. So many underrated maps on that game. Dead of the night is awesome, alpha Omega is pretty much Nuketown with a college degree (actually has an ee, more area, ray gun mark 2 quest etc.) Tag is a nice reimagine etc. You got me into wanting to get a couple maps. I'm only missing a couple DLC's in IW/AW zombies. Rave is definitely a map that caught my interest. Also would you recommend any of the Exo DLC's? Asking as someone who isn't a hardcore zombie player but probably a more advanced casual player who has nearly every map and has done almost all the treyarch zombies EE's.

You should totally do an updated ranking of this including Cold War and Vanguard maps, you could wait until the Vanguard life cycle finishes but even then, I don’t think you’re gonna miss much there lol
How else would I rank them? 99% of the time it’s always gonna be an opinionated ranking from any TH-camr who does it. I’ve only seen it done once with MCSportshawk did the community average opinion ranking thing

The ranking you are mentioning is also pretty questionable , because totally got things wrong like the rating of innovations as example. Some just dont make any sense. You can however use objective reasoning to support your subjective opinion. But at the end of the day, this is fully subjective. I do refrain from letting nostalgia play any part in my rankings though. So that aspect of subjectivity won’t blind me.
I agree with you. You can look at different aspects and rank the maps but you have to stay consistent without any bias and thats is what most cant do. It isnt subjective at all when you use criterias for the ranking and stay objective.
The target shooting IMO is the best ee step they’ve had, i hope we see some variant of that returning. I still remember the feeling we got when we finally beat it after 2 hours of jist shooting the targets 🤣. My only thing about EE’s is that you should be able to complete them w/o not having a full team. The moon guy is the most annoying thing ever

finally! someone who actually gives non treyarch zombies a chance. I will always prefer treyarch zombies but it sucks when people throw hate at the other zombies mode without actually giving it a fair chance. IW zombies was pretty fn good and WW2 was enjoyable enough imo

Objective in terms of the reasoning for the maps. There is no possible way for our opinions to be objective. There’s this fallacy that many people follow by, they assume that objective means the “popular” opinion. So they think because most people hate Voyage, it “objectively” should be low. But that IS NOT how objectivity works.

Objectivity IS the general consensus, taking into account the opinion of both pro and casual players. That's the only way you can call something objective, taking into account ALL opinions. if its JUST YOUR opinion then it's not objective. I for exemple really like die rise. What most people find annoying about this map i personally find refreshing and unique. Would i call my opinion objective because i can argument my point and convince you that it's not as bad as you think ? Hell no, i know most people hate it and their opinion is just as valid as mine. And since the vast majority of people hate it i can't say it's objectively good.
Voyage is hated and considered the worst treyarch zombie map by both casual and pro players and it's just as hated as the totured path or burgertown. THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY HATES THIS MAP, and that includes people who have done the easter egg and boss fight.
So if you ranking was objective voyage of despair should be below any other treyarch and iw zombies map (except maybe for bfb)
@@hidenname541 I think you misunderstood me. I did NOT say the map was objectively good, as I say in the video you cannot prove whether or not something is good or bad objectively, only your reasons can be objective. But the claim that the map is good or bad is always going to be subjective.

Of course it may be fact that majority do not like Voyage (not everyone, don't over exaggerate), but that does NOT mean the map is objectively bad. Yes this ranking is subjective, I stated that in the video, but I also said that I TRY to be as objective as possible when it comes to my reasoning so I don't include things such as nostalgia or very personal reasons in my ranking

The notion of "fact" is highly debated in pretty much every field. Most philosophers would agree that the notion of truth is different for every human, so what constitutes reality is the general consensus. But if we're following your logic objectivity doesn't exist, or at least it doesn't exist when ranking video games since what they are being ranked on is the fun factor, which is obviously something very personal.
I think most people agree that voyage of despair doesn't have any real quality or reason to play it over any other map, which is kinda the worst flaw a map can have.

Rewatching this a few years later and I’m bummed that one of my most played maps is so low. I’ve been playing bodega so much lately. I don’t like the tortured path, but I like them as survival maps. COD WW2 is in the top 3 zombies for me along with infinite warfare and black ops 3 chronicles…. Ww2 favorites are Final reich, graustenhaus(sorry if spelled wrong) and then Bodega. Like you said it’s subjective and that’s perfectly ok. I’m more of a casual gamer and like the extremely easy Easter eggs or just going for as high a round as I can.

Great list, I agreed with pretty much all your points on bo4 especially. So many underrated maps on that game. Dead of the night is awesome, alpha Omega is pretty much Nuketown with a college degree (actually has an ee, more area, ray gun mark 2 quest etc.) Tag is a nice reimagine etc. You got me into wanting to get a couple maps. I'm only missing a couple DLC's in IW/AW zombies. Rave is definitely a map that caught my interest. Also would you recommend any of the Exo DLC's? Asking as someone who isn't a hardcore zombie player but probably a more advanced casual player who has nearly every map and has done almost all the treyarch zombies EE's.
I think Carrier is the only Exo Zombies map really worth playing.

How else would I rank them? 99% of the time it’s always gonna be an opinionated ranking from any TH-camr who does it. I’ve only seen it done once with MCSportshawk did the community average opinion ranking thing

I just think a lot of aspects when it comes to rating maps are just being ignored and a lot are subjective like replayability.

You can however use objective reasoning to support your subjective opinion. But at the end of the day, this is fully subjective. I do refrain from letting nostalgia play any part in my rankings though. So that aspect of subjectivity won’t blind me.
I agree with you. You can look at different aspects and rank the maps but you have to stay consistent without any bias and thats is what most cant do. It isnt subjective at all when you use criterias for the ranking and stay objective.
