You are living my dream. Everytime I visit England from Louisiana I visit so many church sites. Was in Essex in October and my wife got so annoyed because I would just pop in every church we passed out in the countryside. My dream is to retire and move to England and just visit historic sites all over

I’m from the USA, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit England many times. I have in-laws that live in various areas of the country. My family loved the area of West Chinnock in Somerset. We spent a few holidays there at The Old School House which was next to a beautiful little church. Perhaps you could explore that area sometime. Wonderful pub there too called The Muddled Man. 😊

Really enjoyed this Luke. I know all the villages you visited well but have never visited the churches. Would love to see more of these.

Very much enjoyed this video. I am from the US and found my ancestry may have a link to Anglesey via Annesley. The castle is no longer there, but I believe there is a church. Such interesting information and the delivery was real and honest. Would enjoy more history adventures like this video. 🙂

Absolutely loved this format and would be happy to see more! I’ve been exploring churches in the English countryside lately and this fuelled my urge to see and learn more!

Excellent video, Luke! As I've stressed time and time again, the wonderful thing about being from Britain is that you can walk outside, walk in any direction for five miles, and you will find something of amazing historical significance. We are blessed.
There is a church in Aller that has the Spear of Aller inside, allegedly used to slay a Somerset Dragon, not been there myself, but did you see if was in the church in Aller you went to? I really look forward to seeing more of these.

I didn’t! It was seriously dark in there. The camera makes it look ok but I couldn’t really see much, just before sunset :-)

Love this concept and first run - and learning the term "hunky punk" for those carved grotesques has made my day. :)

I am so happy that I have found your TH-cam channel, I love learning about new places and dream of one day exploring these areas. As I have just found you on instagram and know very little about you and your partner. It would be lovely to have a vlog introducing you both to the channel. Not to much but a little about where you both are from and so on …….
Thanks Sally from downunder Woodend, Victoria, Australia
